I hope I don’t have to rent a U-Haul again, however if I do, I will not be using the mobile app, I will be going into a location and finalizing everything. Mobile maybe convenient however it is not set up to provide basic details of miles/kms and if it must be converted. This location provided great service and the 24/7 customer service helped greatly, however the mobile app still has flaws that needs to be worked out.

With having made arrangements to pickup at a specific time I would expect that the vehicle is ready to go. I had to clean 12” of snow of the windshield and front of the vehicle ( fortunately I had my own snow brush handy )and shovel two wheel paths through a snow bank in front of the truck ( they were nice to have left a shovel sitting beside the trucks). On a better note the truck was clean and mechanically fit with 1/2 a tank of gas. I also had to help an elderly couple clean snow off a truck they were renting, I did thus while the nice man renting the truck went back inside the store to borrow a booster pack to start the truck he was renting. Battery was completely dead. It’s a good location but some extra attention to the service side of what they do needs work.

gilles st-pierreI find uhaul has gone downhill my first reservation that was suppose to be guaranteed near me wasn't I had to go to tinmins to pick it up then I got charged an extra 27miles from my recording from start to finish. The van was shaking terribly on the highway there is a van wheel alignment and the shifter itself was extremely loose. It was a very sketchy van. There was coffee spills in the cup holders and the steering was sticky. As for my morning guarantee not being there uhaul did give me $50 but they kind of took it back by the extra 27 miles.

Brent SodtkeYoung woman I dealt with was friendly, accommodating and efficient. She swept out the trailer for me and gave me some badly needed return time flexibility over the long weekend. I would recommend tire pressure check, as the first trailer I backed up to was low on 2 tires. Overall awesome experience

earl priceYour company is a disgrace. For one I rented the U-Haul to move my belongings from Ottawa to timmins out of storage. When I arrived at storage my belongings were damaged and had to load U-Haul to bring belongings to the dump. Return the U-Haul in timmins the following day in timmins and did not get a refund. I didn’t know a one way rental was to remain as is. Very poor service. No empathy for customer in distress. I will not be using U-Haul ever again.

CALVIN SWANI rented a 15 feet truck. And when I got to the pick up location, they upgraded me to 26 foot truck without telling me. I wasn’t happy about that , the truck was too big to fit into the location I was moving out of and also the location I was moving too. This caused a lot more stress on an already stressful day. When I called customer service I was hung up on 3-4 times. All around bad experience with your company. I will not be recommending u-haul to any of my friends. I’m an I will not be using your services again.

I bought 2 new wipers while I was getting gas in the empty truck, brought truck to drop off location, could not get my deposit back, 2 days later I finally was able to get my deposit! Fella at the drop off location could not speak English and was not interested in trying either, over all horrible experience, definitely would not recommend u haul to anyone!

Paul RykiertInside of the trailer was filthy. Had to clean it before I could load my stuff into it. Didn’t have any dollys for rental, which is unusual for a moving company. Parking lot was glare ice and very dangerous to walk on. No assistance in hooking up the trailer, just an “inspection” after you do it (I’ve never hooked up a trailer before and was offered no assistance with it). However, this is the only location so you’re stuck with dealing with subpar service.
Garrett CoderreTrailer hitches rest on the ground, which are frozen to the ground and not movable by hand in the winter time. Fortunately, they had a forklift to assist. Having the trailer hitches rest on jacks or cribbing would make it easier to hook up the trailer.

Myriam HookimawI originally tried to book things through the tamiskaming shores u-haul. But the guy was so bothered by answering my questions, he played dumb and pretended he new nothing. He was absolutely no help, and he clearly didn't want to help. But the timmins one was GREAT!! I had an awesome experience, the lady even got a propane torch to help me unfreeze the trailer latch.

Simone BernierTrailer wasn't inspected before I rented it because 4 pin wire connector has 1 pin missing and a second one fell as soon as I plugged the extension in. The deck was dirty and the rubber clips on the safety chains were in poor shape. Between that and lack of protection for the towed vehicle I ended up returning it without using it for the intended trip
