Horible service from depanneur du Dome. Was charged 10$ to park my car for the rental time, which my friend was charged 5$ a month before. Mind you this also had to be paid to the store and not on my location. Truck box was not cleaned in between rentals. No windshield washer. Barely any gas in the truck to start with. Specifically told the cashier before leasing that I would be using a card for the hold but another for the paiement and was told that was alright. Get back to the store at 5h45 for a different cashier to tell us he can not take paiement before 7pm because he does not have the password for the computer. Specifically told him that I would call at 7pm to make paiement by phone and to not charge the card on file which he agreed to. Call store at 7pm. 4 times before anyone answers and the clerk says that the card has already been charged.. Overall disaster.

Upon arrival, I had to shovel the snow around the truck otherwise I would not have been able to back out. The truck cabin also smelled very bad.

My original reservation was at the Jean proulx location. When what I wanted wasn't available I was supposed to get a phone call to assist me with finding a location that had what I wanted....no one ever called. When I went to the original location they were able to assist me by finding a nearby location that had what we needed.

Service attendant showed me some dust specs of the passenger floor and passenger door compartments (which weren't even used) and claimed because they were dirty then charged me a cleaning fee. Felt insulted. Is this how U-haul does bussiness?

The interior of the van was clean but not the carpets so when I returned the van at this location I had to pay 25$ + taxes extra even if I told the guy that it was like that when I took it. Next time I will take a picture before. I was not very impress by this location, I had to wait every time a client entered the store, this represent maybe 20 to 25 minutes extra.

The first bad experience with U-Haul that we have ever had. The Depanneur guy charged us a $25 cleaning fee because we forgot an almost-new very small bungee cord in the van and he claimed that we left a footprint on the driver's side. It was a dry day and we moved one small load of clean furniture a short distance. When we received the van from this guy he didn't bother to come outside to check it, and the van was not entirely clean when we received it (smelled of cigar smoke too), and the van had been left unlocked. Don't even know if the footprint was actually from our move. Even if it was, we pay him $25 for one footprint? And the guy got a free bungee cord. Would never use this location again, and if this issue is not resolved, we won't be using U-Haul again at any location.

when I arrived we were charged $10 paid to park our car in the parking lot. Then I booked a lift (diable)to bring the boxes mias there were none. I had to go rent one from the home depot and wasted a lot of time.when I return at 2:45 p.m., the lady who takes care of her convenience store and us at the same time asks me if I have cleaned up. I answer no because the truck is clean. She wants to charge $25. I therefore ask him to provide me with a broom so that I can pass the broom in front of her even if he has nothing to pick up, what I am doing. Once inside, she tells me that she U-haul wants to charge me extra because I am 6 minutes late (3:06 p.m.) instead of 3:00 p.m., despite the fact that she is serving customers at the same time as she look after us back in the parking lot. Finally she mentions that she will not charge us extra out of good heart!!!Finally, the gasoline extra of $23.96. She claims that the gas line is slightly below the middleSince when does a company leave its tank in the middle to start a contract! it's hard to know exactly how to get gasoline back to where it start level !!! In total, my journey was 27 km for the day. I put in $15 gas in total, which should more than cover the gas I used. But no, she shows me with a drawing or a printed sheet that the line was in the middle. No photo, a real joke in my opinion. I had to pay 23.96 extra, in total $39.96 for Gas that my trip cost me for 27 kilometers of road with your truck. Bad business overall.

Dear Uhaul, first all your staff were wonderfull. I picked the truck on April 28 at 12:54. Came back home. the truck was dirty because used to transport demolition (mud and debris) Tires were at end of life and not safe for a trip to Montreal. Went back to Uhaul to see what could be done. Truck was cleaned, 2 liter of oil, wiper changed etc... Then at midnight maintenance came to change the 4 tires. work completed at 2am in the morning. was leaving at 06:30 in the morning. brought back the truck on April 30th at midnight. No drop box at pick-up location. was charges 2 days of rental (truck+dolly+insurance). I am tired and lets say somehow desapointed. (Isabelle was great - but still...;-(

Operator/vendor was very uninterested and also wanted me to pay parking to leave my car there for a few hours while he had a huge empty lot in a very remote area where parking is free. Furthermore car was very dirty and tires were completely finished with no thread left, was dangerous to drive. Will not ever use this vendor/operator ever again.

Truck was dirty. Shop made a mistake in both milage and gas levels.... But thankfully this was sorted quickly by calling customer support. Shop was easy to find and was fast and efficient. Overall OK experience

You better go to an U-Haul store. I did not have a friendly reception. The guy barely answered my questions. The truck was in a parking lot full of mud. Its door was stuck. Generally not a fantastic experience.

La fourgonnette devrait être vérifiée au niveau de la chaufferrette et la direction car à 90km/heure le véhicule vibre beaucoup. The van should be checked at the level of the heater and the direction because at 90km/hour the vehicle vibrates a lot.

The washer fluid hose was broken and did not spray on the windshield. I added fluid, but the sprayer was in the wrong place. I couldn't clear the windshield and had to keep stopping at gas stations to wash the window. I let the attendant know at the end and he said he'd have a look at it.

Le camion était supposé être récupérable avec un cellulaire. Rendu la ça ne ma pas permis de le faire. J’avais pris la location a partir de 7h am et sa disais que le commerce ouvrait a 8h dans le site internet. Finalement, après 30 minutes d’attente on voit que le commerce ouvre à 7h. Sinon ça bien été. Le camion a été utile. Il n’était pas déneigé par contre.

Ran out of winshield washer and there was no spare container in the van. 3 out of 4 tires were low in air pressure. Had to stop at a garage and put air. Driver side wiper was ripped which made it hard to see clearly considering it was a snowy and wet day.

I found the attendant at the rental location to be extremely unhelpful. I was especially upset that I was charge $5 to park my car. This was not a fee that I was told about and have never had to pay to park my car at any vehicle rental location ever.

Back of truck should always be clean for the next customer. This is a common problem when renting trucks. This truck had sand and grass inside. Not good when we are bringing in clean furniture.

The car had remains of previous moves. Some fresh tree leaves, some floor protectors usually sticked on chairs to avoid scratching house floor and much rust. On top of that, after leaving the site, I discovered that the car had a rear right tyre alarm I had to fix before being able to read current kilometers. It cost me 4$ to put some air in that tyre.

Unfortunately, we were not told verbally that the tank was to be refilled to 3/4 and not to full. It was on the form, but since it is the normal with most vehicle rentals to fill to full, we missed that not obvious detail. It would have been good if the salesperson had explicitly said it should be filled to 3/4 and not to full. We ended up paying more for gas than we should have, making it considerably more expensive than it should have been for a 30 km (approx) use.

My service with UHaul customer support may have been the worst service I have ever encountered. I will be certain to tell people to NEVER use Uhaul under any circumstance and I have already indciated that on Google Reviews. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever encountered. FYI, the actual outlet was fine once I got through the horrible expeirence with your customer service.

The owner speaks poor English and not a word of French in a province where French is the official language.He was not cordial ignorant and impolite. The van was in the back yard and when my son went around the van to check for scratches etc he walked on piece on of old wood with a nail that pierced is foot .Had to get a Tetanos sho

Sign in was long. The truck was making all sorts of concerning noises. It was hard to put the exact amount of gas in; 3/4 of the way between half and 3/4 full?? Why not full tank?

I reserved a 15 feet moving van. The contract said my reservation was "guaranteed". We we arrived, there was no 15 feet available, it was still rented to someone else.We ended up renting a cargo van. We barely moved half the stuff we wanted. Extremely disappointing. If you say "guaranteed", than you should have the truck available. Totally unreliable. I definitely won't be renting from U-Haul again.

The shop manager is a bit rude and he gave me information that ate contrary to what the customer seevice agent had told me on the phone. I was told I could drop off the uhaul at another location without extra cost but he told me that's not true. I was also told that I was given 15km free but he refused to give them to me.

Can was dirty Person serving on pickup wasn’t friendly whatsoever. The online pickup and drop off process took over 45 minutes of my Booked time. Generally I don’t feel I had a good deal or experience at all and won’t use the online process ever again. Awful

The interior of the van was disgusting, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned ever. There was dust and grime on every surface and it smelled like cigarettes and sweat... Thé check-in process to get the vehicle took what seem like forever, around 30 minutes. At first the employee who helped us claimed that he didn’t have our reservation even after I showed him proof on my phone that we did at that location. I had to go through the process of taking a picture of my license and scanning the back if it twice. I would not have been that annoyed by this but i was already quite frustrated with the awful experience we had earlier that morning at another UHAUL location. We wasted an hour at the other location which is what led us to choosing this less than ideal location, way out the way from our house and where we needed to take the van. All this to say, I will not be choose UHAUL again nor will I recommend it to a friend.

I appreciated the fact this location was open while almost everyone else was closed. The App to upload driver's information doesn't seem to work correctly and bugged. It may save time and frustration to have an updated App that works. The reservation App could also be more intuitive and user friendly. Thx

Je suis trés insatisfait J ai fait une reservation d une camionette avec un chariot pour meuble , quand je suis arrivé in m a dit qu'ils ont pas de chariot , ceci dit que la solution proposé par le monsieur et que je dois aller vers u haul st louis pour recuperer la voiture et le chariot J'ai suivi sa recommandation pour arriver a saint louis ( 20minute de route ) et a ce moment la j apprends que ma reservation a été annulée et que la seule solution et de prendre la chariot a saint louis et chercjer la camionette avec une nouvelle reservation a chemin freeman Je vous laisse le calcul des aller retour que j ai fait sans m'offrir un geste commercial ainsi le temps perdu Alors avec tous ce desagrement , ce que j entends de vos employés vous devez payer extra km vous devez payer ça Mais qui paie pour moi un aller retour sans rien , qui paie pour moi une 1h de retard Alors c est trés legitime que Je ne recommande pas vos services et je vous laisse un mauvais avis sur google

I’ve ask to pickup the truc 5 miles from my home, it have change tree times and ended up 40 miles from my place, so I’ve lost 2 hours on the moving date just to pickup the truc and start moving.

I was asked to sign the damage sheet before seeing the vehicle even though I asked to see it first. After seeing the van there was unmarked damage in 3 areas so I had to go back inside to have it marked. I took pictures of the entire van. It was dirty inside and out. It smelled like a barn. When I returned it I was accused of scratching the bumper, luckily I had taken pictures of the whole van showing the damage was pre-existing. The damage was not marked for the next customer.

Your rental process is really dumb. First, the app doesnt allow me to submit photos. I had to go the website instead. Next, there was no way to submit the validating info (photos of me, license, references...) until the vehicle was ready for use. Well, my vehicle was returned more thn 30 minutes late. The lateness didnt bother me. But having to then WAIT while you finally validate my info is beyond stupid. Its an easy fix. I will never again use.the online.booking until that is fixed.

Worst experience ever! After getting the run around over the phone I had enough. Just drove to a Ottawa location who located a trailer in Gatineau. Ottawa sales was helpful. Once arrived in Gatineau location the “kid” wasn’t old enough to compete the transaction. Waited over an hour for the “boss” to show up. Was so rude. Tried calling UHual customer service. But no answer as I was on hold for 20+ minutes. How can you run a business and not be able to sign a person out?
