The truck gas light was on when I picked it up and the back of truck was filthy. Literally swept out a ton of dirt. Then I got charged with a cleaning fee. Never again!

Horrible customer service. They acted like they were doing me a favor. Charged me TWICE in a row a late fee, even when I dropped the trailer off at 2pm, went into the office to tell them. they couldn't get up off their chair to even acknowledge it. we ordered 24 Furniture blankets and they had none. we had to buy blankets instead of renting them from you. this was a big inconvenience.

I rented a 1 way box truck from Foley, Alabama to Destin, Florida. It was not due back until 11am but I brought it back at 4:20 the same day I rented it. The place was already closed and I put the key in the box as their neighbor Destin Towing told me to do. I checked in through the link on my phone and shared location. I did not have a "U-Haul Account". They charged my credit card an "overnight fee" of $25. I even called the next morning the minute they opened to explain I had trouble setting up account but had done everything I was supposed to do, left it clean, and returned it 17 hours early. They said "You have to call 1-800-U Haul it and dispute it......nothing we can do." I would not call the customer service oriented. Also, 4:20 in the afternoon is considered "regular business hours" to most people. They chose to be closed at that time.

Dont charge customers to bring the equipment back after hours! Your getting people coming AND going with fees!! Not right! And hire more people at your call center. Got bounced around 4 times and then stayed on hold for AN HOUR until I terminated call. Not happy!

We reserved a utility dolly along with the truck. I called the site the day before when I received a text. I was told they didn't have a dolly and would have to go to their central location, in another city, to pick one up if I wanted one. This is not good customer service and why I rated below average.

Engage customers with more instructions , what to do next, etc. Found myself asking if I should follow the person (female - no name given) to the next stop. During walkaround ,which I initiated , they did sticker anything I pointed out but I felt they should inspect as well.

I had a reservation only to find that there was no truck available for me upon arrival. The manager(?) then checked the after hours box to find a returned truck. It was not inspected, it was dirty with significant beach sand, and the gas in the truck was at <1/8 of a tank when the paperwork said 1/4 of a tank.s NO truck should ever go out without being cleaned and accurate information recorded.

We returned a 15' truck shortly before closing time (5:00pm) and were told they had already left for the day and to use the key drop box. We were subsequently charged an after hours fee, even though we had arrived before the stated business hours.

Nas the building, people in the office or spit tobacco and trash cans in the whole place smelled like excrement. On top of all that and charge me $25 for a cleaning fee and when the van was cleaner when I drop it off and when I picked it up.

I have rented many auto carriers from u-haul.com. This particular unit had its jack, mis-installed, wrong size and location. It was installed in such a way that when you pulled the car up to the stop, it rammed the jack causing a dent in the car. So, I had to use some wood to act as a spacer preventing the car from going forward. I called after dropping off and told them about the situation and demanded that it be taken out of service immediately so that the jack can be reinstalled properly - going away from the vehicle. Otherwise, more cars will be damaged.

Let customers know that the earliest they can start checkout is 1 hour prior. This was not obvious to me. Also let them know (or remind them) the rules on fuel on checkout.

You have by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The day of the move, 3 days after I made the rental, I get a call 2 hours before my reservation to tell me it's now at a different location 40 minutes away. Then they proceeded to tell me I could have a 10 foot truck not the original 15 I rented but only for half the time I reserved. So I got charged for a larger truck, had it for less time, and they still refuse to admit that they messed up overcharging me. I would never, ever recommend anyone use uhaul for any moves unless you want to be jerked around the day of your move and severely overcharged with no remorse from the company. I will never use this company again and I hope you seriously consider how you treat your customers because word of mouth travels fast.

They are trying to rip us off for parking saying it was not parked in the lot correctly. Only open spot. Long story. They are calling it a cleaning fee but they are a towing business and they said they had to tow it to another spot. Total rip off!

As if the truck and pads being nasty and full of leaves I folded all the pads and cleaned the truck. To my surprise I got charged another cleaning fee, ok made two calls to question and I never received a return call from it's manager Kayla Leach. Do not recommend posting on yelp next for this location.

U-Haul has to correct issues with their software. The software told the staff at this location that my 2009Audi A3 was too big to be carried on an auto transporter towed by a VW Touareg diesel with 7700 lb tow rating. Which is ridiculous--the Audi A3 one of the smallest cars on the road. And it fit with feet to spare. This almost ruined my trip, but luckily one of the staff at the location was smart enough to know that the software was incorrect.

The radio had issues (volume), there was a serious problem with attempting to start the truck (stuck ignition, key insert hard to turn), very dirty truck cab, uninformative employee who seem to rush me out the door to complete shift and double charged quoted price. Not a happy customer, I was sent an invoice that I am disputing.

Be sure to call ahead to confirm any accessories required. This is a small facility and they may not have everything you need (large quantity of moving blankets). Friendly and helpful staff.

The gentleman I dealt with from this location was helpful and went above and beyond what was required. He even went so far as to put his truck on the trailer to help me figure out if mine would fit. He offered me additional help in any way he was able. However the young woman working there was difficult to deal with, dismissing my concerns and attempting to get me to leave as quickly as possible. She was beyond unhelpful and looked disgusted when I stated I had concerns about my truck fitting on the trailer she provided. When I asked if she had a tape measure so I could see if the trailer was longer than my wheelbase, she gave me a dirty look and made no effort to help or even respond to me. When I called back later in the day with a concern, she was dismissive, and frequently interrupted me with unhelpful comments, making it impossible for me to actually explain the issue I was having, before hanging up on me as I was talking, offering no solutions. I had to call the national uhaul phone number to get answers to my concerns that this woman refused to address.

I was given the wrong truck number and the wrong allowed milage for the truck. The drop off location was excellent and took care of it for me but that shouldn't have happened to begin with.

This location is not really "Welcome". The people rush us with the drop off the trailer and they charge us on our Credit Card an amount of $36 without Notice. I checked later my Credit Card and I realized this extra charge. I called to this location and they told me that's a new rule from U Haul : when the Staff help us to drop off the Trailer, they have to charge an Extra amount. . It's true that they helped us but they never told me that before and therefore, I have had an Extra charge of $36l !!! I drop off myself my own car on the trailer. I contest this amount of $36. Please call me for more details. Cell. 514 913-8716. PS: The said location refuse to Credit this said amount on my Credit card.

initially said no to the rental , this after I reserved it through national. After some serious coaxing, she reluctantly agreed. National Reservations said that the renting agency would disconnect the drive shaft for me. they would not. my son had to do it and no assistance was offered by the renting agency.

Asked for a 10' truck they said, yes and actually reserved a 15' truck. When I got in the truck, it smelled like 20 year old cigar smoke, spilled soda drink throughout { on the door, caddy area and floor. I would have rented the 15' truck anyway but, why not say what the situation is going to be. Lacking integrity. Also told I would have a 2 wheel hand truck and they were all out on the day I rented the truck.

Location and People were great. My complaint is the over the phone reservation. Originally I reserved an in town one-day rental in Panama City Beach, FL but when I went to the Panama City Beach location to pick it up, my rental was not there and they said the Uhaul reservation has rescheduled my reservation to the next day. Which irritated me because I had to move out that day. What is the point of a reservation if you don't keep up your end of the agreement. I had to call reservation and ask if there was anything available and I would travel to get it. The Destin Towing location was the closest one available with a truck rental and I had no choice but to go and pick it up((40 miles away). I ended up doing a one way rental which increase by cost of renting but it was cheaper than having to drive 40 miles back and forth to pick up and drop off. So what I figured to cost me around $50-60 dollars turned out to be $116.
