I often rent vehicles from this location however yesterday I rented a 10ft truck for only 4 hours ... drove to Brighton and back from Whitby and ended up paying $273.31 ....which I found to be excessive especially following your recent price increase at .89/km. In full transparency, I'll definitely be shopping around next time before I rent another U-Haul.GLENNC F.

Was very pleased and will be a return customer. Uhaul reps were very polite and efficient. Especially during such busy (end of the month) and Covid affected times with limited availability, as it was explained to me, they did a great job. Returning after hours made me nervous ie proof all in order upon return, so I made a point to return early. An email system to send live photos of return in good order might have eased my concerns. Perhaps it existed and i wasnt aware. Perhaps more rentals will ease that worry. Otherwise, a great experience which was a very nice surprise.Nicole M.
Reserved a trailer. On the day of pick up, arrived before the allotted time only to wait in line with several people ahead of me. When I finally spoke to customer service agent they and they notified to my disbelief that they had given our trailer to someone else because I was late picking up. I told the agent I was late because I was waiting in line for an hour. She said sorry we don't have a trailer for you and their computers were down. Came home and ordered another trailer from another location. It was ready for pickup at 1pm April 30 2021. I left early in case I'd have the same situation happen again. When I arrived the door was locked and no trailers in the premises. Strike two. Came home and ordered a van from Enterprise which I didn't want to do because it was a lot more expensive and we were on a tight budget but we had to pick up my daughter ASAP! Because her landlord was canceling her lease. They were putting the house on the market. That van cost us $400 for the day. Rental and gas. As opposed to $55 for the trailer. During Covid , Truck was not fully cleaned, dirt and dust on floor. Had to clean and disinfect Attendant inputted incorrect drop off location which caused issue and unnecessary stresses. (issue was resolved). Some improvement /Training required at 965 Dundas Whitby. Vehicle was in good shape. Good value at U haul. I haul is my rental company of choice.Mahendra B.

The website should be up to date on location and availability of equipment. My reservation was changed last minute to a location 10 mins further away from my house, that didn't open until a time much later than I had chosen for pickup. Put me behind schedule and was a lot of wasted time.Mike P.

Trying to find where the place was in the plaza was hard. When we pulled into the parking lot, the only way we knew we were in the right place was all of the trucks parked outside. We didn't know where to go to actually register. It wasn't until someone else told us who saw us looking. It took a very long time to register as well. We were there for our 9 am scheduled appointment (when they opened) and my husband didn't come out until 9:50. He said there were 7 people in front of him that were also very frustrated. Dropping it off seemed quick and easy as the man was there waiting when we returned it at 9 am the next morning. The truck itself was very clean.RYAN F.

The woman working at this location was extremely confrontational with every customer in the store. This location is located in a large plaza with poorly marked signage. When I called to find out how to get inside to the Uhaul office, the lady repeatadly stated â€œIts at the front of the buildingâ€. After getting absolutely no direction on where to enter I had to drive around the building to then enter through the back. The man working there was very friendly but overall I would not recommend this location nor would I return for future needs.Elizabeth C.
The blonde woman working there was totally unprofessional. Threatened to quit in front of customers. The system was also down. My pickup location was suppose to be Thornton and King in oshawa and moved to this location, which was a total inconvenience. Overall I would never use this location again. Poor customer service, unorganized, location office is difficult to find and the office is a total mess.becky C.

The online check in is an absolute nightmare that is hardly convenient and definitely not user friendly. Live chat responses were slow and I waited on hold for more than half an hour and never did reach anyone live. It's highly inconvenient that this location is closed by 2pm.Rachel W.
There was no windshield washer and it was needed on the day of rental. Dangerous situation. Please make sure basic liquids such as the one mentioned are kept full. Also, back of the truck (interior) was very dirty as it has not been swept in a whole. These situations made my experience less positive.JORGEE S.

Initially when I went in person to book a truck, I was quoted $140 for the entire trip upon presenting the mileage. When I went the next day to pick up the truck the next day, Catherine tried to charge my visa for $227 estimate for the same mileage which would be adjusted after the trip. After arguing with me, she dropped the estimate to $177, then after more rude arguing, dropped it down to the original Quote of $139. Not only was she rude and argumentative, but she gave me a truck with only a quarter tank of gas!! I have rented vehicles and moving trucks in the past, and I have never had such unprofessional and blatantly rude service. When I told her I would be contacting head office, she replied that it's in Arizona... good luck. This location has very poor, unprofessional, blatantly untrustworthy service. The signage at this location is so small that we had difficulty finding the entrance to the building that leads to the second floor office. I also think that where the uhaul trucks are parked is a cramped space and that people who aren't accustomed to driving large trucks would have extreme problems pulling out.Ryan W.
She was so slow and stressed while she was working behind the counter. Only one employee and I had to wait an hour even I pre booked online. I would not refer any one. truck was clean, but with a completely broken exhaust. it was blaring all the way, with poor combustion. it was disappointing to pay towards environment, then ending up with such a truck. it didn't feel like an honest transaction on the company's side! The truck at the back was a little dirty and it had a weird smell. I would really suggest that all trucks are checked and cleaned before each rental. Other than that our experience was good.Elena R.

My experience went smoothly. The staff member at this location was knowledgeable and friendly and efficient. She went through the details with me clearly. The vehicle itself was fine. The only reason I said 'no' for 'well-maintained' was that there was a small pile of shattered glass in the space where the back door closes. It's out of the way of regular foot traffic BUT it is still dangerous especially because it could easily get stuck in someone's shoes or spill onto someone's driveways. Fortunately I spotted it early. I got the impression that the truck had not been swept clean by previous movers. I had to very carefully clean up as much of the glass as I could because I was concerned u-haul might think it was me. The bag of throw mats and moving dolly were also already detached. I'm aware that typically we are charged if they're found open. I called the location immediately to tell them it was already open. They said not to worry, I wouldn't be charged and I was not. Thank you. Overall it was a simple experience with little hassle.Nawab G.

The receptionist was so rude and was not wearing her mask, yet she was yelling at me to wear mine when i had an alternative face covering. She seriously made the start of my moving process horrible.
