There were candy wrappers left in the vehicle that I felt obligated to throw away because I didn't want it to be a reflection how I maintained the vehicle. There was also a dolly left in the front seat and one was inside of the truck that led me to believe the vehicle was not inspected upon its return to that location. There were also blankets thrown in balls in the â€œmoms atticâ€ so I wasn't able to utilize that space.Alisha B.

The back of the truck smelled like there were wet dogs in the back and it was unbearable. The smell rubbed onto some of my furniture. The whole bottom of the truck was coated in dirt. It was disgusting. I would give it 1 star but I made it 2 because of the location.Kenneth E.

Confusing process. I signed up for mobile check in and I had to end up speaking with the rude old man that ran the shop. When I dropped it off, the kid working the counter had no idea what to do. Very unreliable on both ends. Visor on driver side was broken and kept falling down, obstructing my vision and distracting me. Overall, would not rent from them again.Jeremy K.

Check to make sure all the lights are operable. Get the equipment ready for the customer, as I had to move a trailer myself to access the dolly and fish around for the 4 flat pigtail. Not a big hassle for me but maybe a less experienced customer might have an issue.John P.

Though U-Haul pissed me off by changing the location for truck pick-up, the host (fortunately) loaded my entire reservation, including the auto hauler pick up later that day, because I wouldn't arrive at that location (Stan's Transmission) until after they closed. Having that "leg" reserved permitted me to pick up the auto hauler after hours.Tom (H. Thomas) B.

I learned my lesson. This was the second time I rented from a "Uhaul is a sideline for us" location. I won't make the same mistake again. The first time the truck was a real clunker and should have been retired. This time the truck was double booked. I had to argue with them in a dirty gas station to give me the truck. I finally got it after agreeing to return it hours earlier than I expected to! From now on I will only rent from a location that is totally dedicated (and staffed by courteous professionals) to Uhaul.Judy D.

I was charged for fuel that I did. It use. I put fuel in the tank based on the recommendation on the agreement. When I called the location, I told them that I took a picture of the gauge when I dropped off the truck. He argued with me but then when out to check. He told me that the person who reported the fuel amount made a mistake and I had just below 7/8 of a tank (not the amount they originally claimed was in the truck). 7/8 of a tank was the amount in the truck when I picked it up. I asked him how much for â€œa little belowâ€. He said he would have to calculate and adjust my charges. It has been 4 days and I still have not received a refund. Also, I am extremely uncomfortable because this guy has my address. Please correct this issue immediately.PATRICIA W.

Uhaul contacted me to say that the trailer I was renting was not available at the store location verified in my on-line reservation...and they re-directed me to Don's Gulf gas/service station. The service station did not have the boxes and mattress bag that I requested in my online reservation, so we had to make 2 trips to get everything we needed. The gas/service station staff was very helpful, so the only issue was the 2 trips to get everything i needed.renee K.

I'm a 53-year-old woman and I had my 83-year-old stepfather with me to unload a car from the transport as well as returning the truck. It was pouring rain and the guy wouldn't let us unload the transport in his lot. He made us drive to Dollar General (screaming nastily about it because we'd be in the way of his gas pumps which was incorrect and he had no customers) to unload the car. I didn't know how to unstrap the tires, so I called Uhaul Dispatch to send a driver to help. Suddenly some guy came over and was quite decent given he worked with the nasty guy. They took over the truck from the parking lot and the nasty guy later charged me for a dolly I never got (I told the guy who assisted it was never received), charged me a cleaning fee and a fuel surcharge. I think it was like one tickmark different than how I got it. Since I self-dispatched, I have photos of how I picked it up. This place shouldn't be an approved Uhaul dealer.Carissa P.

Truck was the dirtiest I've ever rented. Cup holders sticky and dirty. Cigarette butts left in the ashtray. I thought you were not allowed to smoke in a U-Haul. The back of the truck was dirty and had pieces of broken furniture in it from the last person that rented it. The staff was extremely rude and used profanity to describe everything. Don't tell costumer to do all this transacting with a smart phone if the rental place is going to rudely snap at at you and say, "You have to come inside if we're open". I secured my reservation online (noon-4pm rental) and was given a noon pick up time. Upon entering Dom's Gulf(12:02) the person working at the desk asked my why I was there and proceeded to tell me he was at lunch and would not be able to help me until 12:30pm. There was no sign posted on the door and no mention of this "lunch" on the website. I actually had an appointment to pick up something at 1pm and I mentioned that to him, but he continued to eat and told me he was at lunch. I sat down in front of him and waited. Unbelievable rude and disrespectful. Once I was able to get the keys to the truck, I left...only to receive a call that I needed to come back and move my personal truck. I need to point out that this was parked directly in front of the window of the desk and the person KNEW I was parked there and purposely waited for me to drive a bit(about 5 miles) before calling me back. There were no signs posted anywhere that led me to believe I could not park there. Horrible experience and I will never do business with Dom's Gulf.Cortney I.

When we arrived there really wasn't anywhere to park or leave your car so I pulled up next to a pump to not be in the way. A man greeted me nicely and asked me what I needed and pointed me in the direction of the office but the gentleman in the office was not so nice. He rudely told me to get my car off his lane and when I looked confused he repeated himself, again rudely, and said to get my car out of the way of the pump so someone can use it. When I asked where I could park, because there really aren't any parking spots, he said next to the dumpster. So I did just that. The actual uhaul itself worked great but then again had a problem when I returned the uhaul. When I returned the uhaul the gentleman who greeted us was nice and I showed him a picture where the fuel amount for the uhaul was when we left and and asked him how much it would be to put it back to that amount, which was a little past 5/8 (The location is also a gas station). He told me $5 would be enough so that's what I gave him and he pumped the gas and told us where we could park the uhaul to return it. The next morning I get the receipt and I was charged a fuel fee. When I called and asked the office about it the man said I needed to fill the truck back up without even checking the system. I explained to him what happened when I checked the truck in and he checked the system and said that it was left at half a tank and that the guy didn't know. I explained again that the gentleman who checked the uhaul back in at his facility knew how much I needed and told me $5 would be enough to cover it and he just kept saying you have a contract. Not happy about that at all and if one is going to run a facility with both uhaul and gas pumping services then I advise that all employees, especially if working alone at a time a uhaul is to be checked back in, understand how both uhaul and gas pumping work.Chantel L.
