Honestly. It was an incredibly unpleasant experience. I tried to check in online and the clerk was mad at me as though I should have known that he didn't want me to do that. The van I did get had low tire pressure and was full of the last person's garbage.

None of the ordered equipment was available at all. Nothing. Not even boxes, felt like a pop up shop. It was strange. The truck itself was filthy with remnants from a previous move. The sales clerk was pushy and didn't explain what we were signing for, offered insurance (which I usually buy) but didn't specify packages. So I was shocked when my bank account received a $250 hold. This would have been fine had he been more specific on the order details. Ultimately I am wondering if we were still charged for all of the gear we ordered for pickup as none of it was available. In conclusion, I will be avoiding this location in future and warning neighbors of it.

We got a 26” truck the man was so pushy to better get the 20” he said it was best for our need. At the end out stuff did not all fit in the 20” and know we have to rent again.

This may not be the usual case, and I don't blame the location itself, but when I showed up at 9.15 AM on Sunday to collect my trailer, there were already 15 people in the line in front of me, and only one person was processing reservations. This meant that I was there for over 90 minutes before getting my rental. And when I left there were still another 20 people in the line. This was not the location I originally selected, but was told it was the only location with the equipment I requested. Uhaul should do a better job of balancing reservations across locations, or support dealers by providing additional staff relative to the number of reservations allocated on a day. There is also not enough parking, or street parking available at this location to support the number of reservations being filled on the day.

Employee Tony asked if I wanted the truck swept out when I saw it was dirty. It is not my job to clean a truck before use or potentially receive a cleaning fee upon return. Engine light was on shortly after left so makes me wonder if oil was checked after prior return. I had a U-Haul VIP credit for $100 from corporate and asked to have it applied. Tony gave me a hard time claiming there was not such a thing. I told him he should call dispatch if he did not know how to apply it. Then he stopped playing dumb and said he would apply the $100 credit to my credit card. He never did. I had to follow up with dispatch in LA to have them do it.

When my partner and I came to pick up a 26' the person working told us the vehicle would be too big for us to drive. We considered a 20', but after discussion amongst ourselves we agreed the 26' would be the size we would need for our move. However, by the time we went back in line to pickup, the employee working had already had someone return a 20' and decided that's what we'll be getting without confirming with us. He then did not tell me the total before running our card and added insurance without our approval as well. The total cost us approx $10 less for a vehicle that did not even fit our entire move. At that point we would've rather taken and spent the money on the size truck we had initially reserved.

There was a big line at this location with one person only to take care of all customers. I stayed there in line for 2 hours and 10 minutes, and was lucky enough to get the one before last available 10 ft truck. Not sure what happened to unlucky others behind me who also stayed in line for over 2 hours. Why does Uhaul schedule people to locations where no truck and not enough personnel are available?

Get more workers. This is an issue at all U-Haul locations, there is never enough employees working. There is always a long line of people and they have one employee taking care of them. It took me almost two hour after my scheduled reservation to get my truck. That's not right. The employee was super nice, but this is a company issue.

The neighborhood is not that great ,its shared with a 76 Gas Station had to use the bathroom and it was dirty. I will say the service was very great and the salesman Antoine was very nice and went by the book, other than that it will be my last resort.

I was working on a project and needed to rent a cargo van and a box truck few times a week from this location and I was very happy with their friendly service and vehicles were always clean. PRO TIP: You can save time by completing the on-line reservation process by uploading a copy of your drivers license and other info. so when you arrive all you have to do is sign your paper work and you are on the road! I will defiantly be back when I need a cargo van or box truck.. Thanks for the great service Tony!

This review is for the Gold Star Gas location in Los Angeles that I was wrongfully sent to by a uhaul service member and inconvenienced for. I was sent to that location for my reservation and upon arrival had the hardest time getting in contact with a uhaul team member, they did not have my truck available, and then I was redirected to my initial location my another service member that I had already reserved at Down Town Globe to begin with. This process cost me a lot of wasted time and was an enormous inconvenience. This happened again with my drop off in Las Vegas where I was sent a text message for drop off at a location I did not reserve. I hope in the future you prevent these types of inconveniences for other customers. Thank you.

the equipment was very clean but not properly maintained the roll up door did not work right and would not stay up on its own it slammed it self down and hit me in the head while I was loading other than the door issue everything was great the gentleman at the pick up location was super helpful

The van was very dirty and missing parts…I couldn't even adjust my side mirrors. I felt very unsafe while driving. Also, the staff complained that the manager doesn't even supply them with gloves, but expects them to take out/dispose of trash.

truck was dirty outside and inside the cab. Stripping falling off the windows was distracting and made for a very noisy ride from LA to San Francisco. The air conditioning continued to shut off intermittently. No port to plug phone in to keep charged for directions.

The owner (bald guy) was extremely rude and accused me of “tying the chains on my auto transport too tight”…when I told him multiple times THAT I DIDNT HOOKUP MY AUTO TRANSPORT MYSELF. He refused to help assist me in disconnecting my auto transport from my Uhaul. After driving 20+ hours, I had to disconnect everything by myself while he looked onward and yelled instructions at me. He was constantly yelling and speaking to me sarcastically in a condescending tone. Further, the shop was filthy with flies everywhere for some reason, and he wasn't wearing his mask or distancing. The guy here was belligerent and rude…STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

The truck needed an exterior wash, there was heavy splatter all over the front. The counter guy wanted me not to use the Uhual app and kept telling me to cancel it and he'll process. I just closed the app and he did his thing on the computer. The customer service isn't what I'm used to from you regular uHaul locations. He also changed my selected drop location to a smoke shop. I had selected Foothill Storage. The smoke shop was closed and the keys were just dropped in the mail slot of the door.

I got charged a whole day for dropping the uhaul off 35 minutes late, the whole location which was also a gas station was shut down on return at 3:30 in the afternoon so we couldn't even fill up there like we were planning.
