The person I dealt with was rude to me and other family members. I was first suppose to pick up at a different location closer to my home but truck there was in need of repair.
Daniel VThe guy behind the counter was very rude and condescending would not let us get a word in edgewise. When we asked a question, he would come back with a very sarcastic remark. I would never recommend for anyone to rent it from this place. Just had a lot of questions and he was very very short with us. The equipment was wonderful. The return was wonderful because we didn’t have to deal with the guy behind the counter. Dropped it off at night after hours. I would really do some research on this gentleman he was not very nice person to work with.

Kathy KI was charged for insurance that I did not select, i had declined the $15 coverage option yet charged for it. They did not give a paper receipt at pick up or drop off, noticed on emailed receipt after return. I rent very often, frequently, and never an issue until I came to this location. I will avoid this location specifically for all future rentals.
Chuck CAdd a covered area to the keybox location. It was raining and standing there with cellphone out getting wet and waiting for the system to approve wasn't great.

Experienced challenging operability with the truck... transmission engaging between 1st to 2nd & 2nd to 3rd gears was rough ad eratic, at times. Team was informed and planned on having service shop look into it. Overall, was able to complete my transit fairly well.
Leo Mwhen I did the reservation online I didn't choose the safe move coverage because I have coverage through my credit card and when I pick up the truck they add it without asking me if I want it or not he told me to sign. I rented one before from another location and the same way online but when I pick up it they asked me if I want it or not

JOISYS FReally great experience!! Only suggestion is that I had to scan the barcode on the lockbox to secure my location because the location sensors on my phone or whatever they are called wanted me to be in the middle of the property. So if that could be adjusted that would make the experience perfect.
Sarah BI rented a U-Haul cargo van from Drive-In Self Storage, East Syracuse, NY. The manager, Grant, is the model of efficiency and fine customer service. He was informed, amiable and very helpful. The vehicle was in fine shape and drove comfortably. It met my needs fully. U-Haul customer service rectified a billing error promptly and efficiently. Finally, as a self-storage operator myself, I found Drive-In Self Storage's premises pristine, well secured and lit, and equipped with the latest software and security apparatus. I unreservedly recommend this U-Haul franchise.

Mickey HOwner of U-Haul at 6201 Fremont Rd, East Syracuse, NY 13057 was snarky, and was generally unhelpful. He had an attitude until I informed him the locks on his truck didnt work properly, and then all of a sudden didnt want to discuss things. He has no business renting vehicles if he doesnt have a proper facility, and infrastructure for it.
Mark PI didn't select the insurance but it still ended up on my bill that shouldn't happen.
Dwain BI chose the mobile pick up option and it was very confusing at pick up. I wish the process was a little clearer and easier to navigate.
Jody TYour customer service rep. Grant. Not a very pleasant person when calling on the phone nor in person. The truck was about 45 minutes late from drop off there is no need for Grant and his attitude toward my service tech. Only being 45 minutes late does not represent being charged an extra day. I manage a large operation and customer service is always in my mind. I will make sure that we rent from other locations from now on. Thank you.

Michael MEarly pick up software is very bad. Took 30 minutes to get thru the process. Try again uhaul.
Gary MAll went great except at the end when we were accused of not topping off the gas tank upon return of van which we did & presented the receipt to man in office . We were fined $ 10 for this which is wrong and seems scamish to us..
jean d1- the gas level on the paper was wrong so I ended up having to put (a lot) more in than I used; 2- never received a copy of the contract; fees not discussed; have no idea what I paid for, but it was a lot more than I anticipated. All lessons learned.

Mark SVan smelled like pot when i picked it up... other than that it did everything i needed it to do... the whole rental experience was very smooth and the guy i had to do business with was very nice and professional.... would certainly rent again.. that's my only complaint was the van smelled like pot.(marijuana)

Amy DThe key box is quite far from where the van is parked which makes if inconvenient to go back and forth to scan barcodes and take pictures etc... the cabin smelled bad, and I later realized there was dog hair all over the fabric parts of the seats, and only the leather parts were clean.
Ramzy AOffer Wi-Fi for customers since it is required to check in and checkout the vehicle. My Verizon signal was week and it cost me and additional 30+ minutes and had to pay movers and extra hour.
Andrew Ccustomer service was terrible… i won’t ever go there again … it was close to home so i thought i’d try it … The associate was very rude and overcharged me then claimed she gave me a deal. When i asked about military discount she seemed appalled at the question
Robert TWhen I arrived to pick up my rental, they had given it to another customer. I was there almost an hour waiting for the uhaul; even the checkout took longer than it should have. Customer service was poor, would not recommend this location.

Michael MMy uhaul had only 1/4 tank of gas. Associate never came out to show me gas gauge. So my dumb ass signed contract without looking at gas gauge first. So I am out 200 dollars in gas in that damn truck. I will never ever use uhaul again and I will make sure no family or friends does either I have a formal complaint I need to follow up on

Alex LThe contactless pickup was pretty good, but I wasn't prepared for it. It asks for either passport secondary verification of who you are or a contact number. Neither of my contacts picked up, and I didn't think I'd need to bring a passport to rent a truck.
