I was told the gas tank was full but turned out to be a bit over 3/4 full. I refueled before returning to the dropoff location and much to my surprise I put in 19 gallons for my 110 mile journey. I have pics of the dash from pickup and again at dropoff...the gauge reads full at dropoff but not the pickup. At dropoff I thought it was weird the fuel gauge wasn't reading full so I took a picture to be safe...turns out the gauge reads fine, this location is just scamming.

The mileage allowed was inaccurate. Only drove from pickup location to my old home and to new home and finally to drop off location. Yet exceeded mileage allowed, something not right in your calculation. Pickup location didn't have a full 2 dozen pads as were ordered and I was told I was to be credited for a dozen yet still see 2 dozen on this contract. Might have to consider the competition for any future moving needs.

Equipment we reserved and paid for wasn't available, so we made other arrangements to use other equipment and had to pick up from a different location. This was already making us drive 40 minutes out of our way and delay our move.On the way to pick up our truck there was a storm that made it hard to drive and traffic was bad. The woman working called 2-3 times telling us to hurry and said she was going to leave if we didn't arrive soon.

Took us over 2 hours to rent our truck. Computer system was down so we couldn't check in online. Said a 17' truck was available but not via web check in. Person who works there wasn't there sat morning (although the hours listed she was supposed to be there. ) when I called she told me there was nothing she could do to help me but to go to Iowa City and get one. I just drove from Iowa city and wasn't paying mileage ...duh. We were on the phone for 2 hours trying to get help. The girl in Des Moines office was unaware they were not open, Tipton did not have a 17' set up to rent via web. DM had to reissue a 20' truck and help us thru the web site since it was not working. We were 2 hours behind on moving things. I swept it out and put a little gas in (there was barely 1/4 tank to begin with). But because we were 2 hours behind, it was raining and we had to move things in the rain. So yes, the back was wet. I did my best to clean it out. And whomever Bill from the Tipton office is needs to learn customer service. Told my sister she didn't know what she was talking about, called my sister stupid and hung up on her.

Drop off was quick and easy. How to drop vehicle off, all info stated on the entrance to the business. Drop box in the door as well. Was a good ride and no problems to slow us down. I will be back!!!

No complaint with the business where we picked up the trailer, other than it was 30 miles from where we had it reserved. Was reserved 1 mile from our home. Basically, if I want it, go get it. Did get a discount when I expressed my frustration.

I had to travel 70 miles round trip to pick up this 26' truck. This was the closest place, I was not compensated for my gas usage to pick up their equipment. I should have checked around first. Budget has nice trucks for less. If they don't have your size truck at their local, they will bring it to you. No extra charge!

it was efficient in getting the rental checked out. rental was not completely clean, and the hours were not the most accommodating. It is kind of in the middle of nowhere, but I am sure people in that area need rentals as well. the location didn't upset me as much as the fact that there were trailers sitting in the Quad Cities that would work exactly as well.

Rented truck on Friday Dec 16 2016 at noon. Truck was going to pu after 5pm snow still on windshield and hood. Got into truck and it would not start. Headlight burned out low beam drivers side. Went through hell trying to get help. Ended up calling coralville got the best help from them. Rented another truck will never do business with Tipton uhaul again.

I couldn't drop off in Iowa city so I had to drive 20 miles out of my way to drop off the equipment. Poor planning and U-Haul's part.

called to confirm our appointment (we had requested a Davenport location but was given this location. So we had to drive 40 miles out of our way) and the lady stated she was on vacation so was not going to be there to help us. We had to deal with another person who doesn't usually do uhaul pick-up. Took awhile but finally got the truck but disappointed with UHaul.

We were to pick up our truck in Cedar Rapids but got notified the day before we would need to pick it up at a location a 30+ minute drive away. This was completely inconvenient, but because we were on a time constraint, we had no choice but to make the drive to get the truck. The man at the location we reserved in Cedar Rapids to originally pick up the truck was very rude and unprofessional when he called to notify us we would need to make the 30+ minute drive to another location. He also would not honor the $50 reservation guarantee advertised on the UHAUL website that we used to make our reservation. The truck we rented only had one working seatbelt, so my son was forced to ride in the cab of the truck with no properly working safety belt. We'll most likely have to use UHAUL again in the future, but only because it is the most affordable option. Not because of their stellar customer service.

A business in the back of another business' business. Didn't know they had mattress bags. Had no boxes. Half tank of gas. No walk around or inspection. Worst running truck. Almost 140k miles. Felt every granule of pavement. Worst suspension.

pick up point was 40 minutes from my house, even though I live in a larger town. What is the point of making a reservation if you have to go out of your way to get the truck you want?

It was extremely upsetting to have to drive 30 miles to pickup the rental truck I had reserved a month in advance. What made this a real hassle was that I got a call the day before, confirming my reservation and time of pickup, but I was never told I had to pick my truck in Tipton. I had received an email weeks before from Traffic saying that there was a possibility of me having to pick up from a different location, but when they called me, they just confirmed my reservation and did not tell me I had to go to Tipton, IA, so I show up in Coralville, IA and there is no truck for me, despite me reserving a month in advance. I take this as a lack of professionalism from your company. What's the point of making a reservation at a specific location if you are going to send me 30 miles away to pick up the truck??? I won't be using UHAUL again for my moving needs.

Need the option of a jack on tongue of trailers (removable if necessary) it does happen that the customer needs to unhook from them.

Not wait until the day before someone is moving to tell them they have to drive an additional hour out of their way to pick up their truck instead of going to the location right next to their house. Ridiculous!

Equipment rented should be available at Eastern Iowa Trailers. We should not have to go elsewhere to relocate the pickup the confirmed equipment.

We had pre-ordered the truck on Monday for a Saturday move. When we went to pick it up, they said it wouldn't take the credit card that I had listed on the pre-order. It wouldn't take any of the cards from any of us. They said they couldn't take a check we would have to give cash. I drove down the street and got the cash from an ATM. When I got back, They didn't have any change. They had to dig through their purse and pockets to try to find change.We had to wait for over an hour to complete this transaction. It was ridiculous!
