The truck was obviously not well maintained. The cab smelled like it had previously had trash in it. The outside of the truck had marks and scratches where previous people had apparently scraped on objects. I have to take pictures on my cell phone to make sure that I wasn't going to be charged for them. The estimated fuel in the vehicle was off by a quarter of a tank, and if I would not have caught it, I would have spent an extra $20 having to fill it up to the correct mark. Before I had driven a quarter of a mile, the low oil light came on the dash. The place I rented the vehicle from said that they are unable to add oil and that I needed to contact travel services for u-haul. When I tried to log into travel services, the website said that I did not have a reservation. I had to stop at a convenience store and purchase a quart of 5w-30 oil for $7. Overall, it was a very dissatisfying experience, and I did not think my money was well spent.Glen R.

The mobile checkout kept freezing up when i was trying to get the keys, my paid time was for 2-7, and it i didn't get to leave the location until 3pm. But other than that everything was great, clean and smooth.Layne M.

The location we closed with a â€œbe back at 8â€ sign on the door with no way to contact employees. It was 11 am. All numbers for the location were unresponsive.Hanna H.
I called to see when they opened and the recording said 8 am I got there at 8:37 the girl in the office said oh she does herr till 9. I said please don't make me come back I said can you make copy of my receipt and key and give to here. She just stared at me like she didn't understand what I said I said make a copy and have her call me if there is a problem. She said alrighty then really snotty. I had to get to work. Make the message say 9 or teach her how to do it. That was awful.Kim R.

Terrible costumer service. I was out side attempting to get my rental for over an hour.. spoke with multiple people over the phone with no resolution. Waisted an hour of my time and still got no uhaul... horrible process to pick up a uhaul. I will never recommenced to anyone.Greg C.

I had a reservation set for a 17ft truck over a month ago. The day before I was suppose to receive it I got called and told that my location didnt have one for me. And was told that is was my fault for not checking in with her even though the uhaul website dricted my too there location. So then I got transferred to another location which also didnt have the 17ft truck but a 15. The 2ft would of made a big difference for my move. So it was very frustrating to have to pile extra stuff into cars that shouldn't have been there. They also didnt have a dolly and was told I had to drive across town to go pick one up from a different store. So at 69 cents a mile I dont have the budget to go wasting miles and fuel on something uhaul should of had for me to begin with. Later that day I was driving around and notice that a different uhaul location had at least 5 17ft trucks which really irritated me because when I called the help number to figure out why my original location didnt have my truck The help number told me that there was no 17ft trucks in Lubbock. The location I was at was great The owner/ manger was a nice guy but the whole system seems totally messed up. I made a reservation months in advance. I needed a 17ft truck. Not a 15. I'm grateful at least my move was local that way I could make 2 trips. But next time I move my family I'm going to rethink uhaul because moving is stressful enough and adding phones calls of we may or may not have a truck for you is too muchMatthew B.
