This was a tale of two experiences. I first tried reserving online. I received an email with a pickup loc for Severna Park. I drove up and was told that the pickup was in Baltimore even though I have a copy of the email that showed pickup in Severna Park. Later another email landed saying pickup was in Balt. I then called round and found the Edgewater location and they were great. Bottom line--I don't trust the on-line reservation system and won't use it in the futureTad M.

Horrible experience. Reserved for 5 days returned after 4 days, but charged for 5. Location said they're work with Uhaul to credit the extra day. When back a week later and was told to wait a few more days. Called 2 weeks later and was told to call Uhaul instead! I'll never use this location again!Gary S.

One of the poorer experiences I've had renting with you all. I arrived right at 9, trying to get a jump on the day, and expecting that, since I already did everything online, that I would get the keys and go. But instead I had to wait 10 mins or so until representative got things squared away. He seemed a bit out of sorts so I didn't press, and in the end it was fine, but not the kind of efficiency I have come to expect, especially when I did all the preliminary work online. The interior of the truck itself was muddy, and pads were strewn on the floorâ€”no big deal, but again not per your usual standard. Last, the truck leaked oil on my concrete driveway. I was only in the driveway 15 mins... very annoying and the main reason that I would not recommend this location in the future. The good news was that we completed everything we needed to complete. Overall, very disappointed in the experience.James R.

Everything went well with pick up and drop off except I didn't open the link until I had already locked and left the truck. So I had to drive back to the truck to share my location and take pics. I also had some problems uploading the pics (this was an after hours drop off). If you let the customer know they will need to take pictures and share location services, that would be helpful. That was not something I was prepared to do. Other than that, which is small potatoes, it went smoothly. Thanks so much!Kelly S.

I would not recommend U-Haul to any fellow active duty or veterans. I am going to inform my chain of command how horrible U-Haul was with this PCS and have them encourage everyone not to use them. I begin by scheduling my trailer a month in advance mind you I'm traveling over 600 miles. Two days prior to my pick up they automatic downgrade my trailer without my consent. I call then within minutes after I got the email and they tell me that there are no trailers in a 250 mile radius and I'm due to leave in 48 hours. I complain to the manger and they find me one an hour away. Decent I'll take that. I go to the site they tell me that they don't have a trailer their response is â€œoh someone should have called youâ€ they canceled my booking to send me another hour in another county that was more than an hour from my home. That's not the end turning the trailer in was a nightmare and sainting on hold for 3 hours after they adjust my return site. NEVER AGAIN!!!Terrence M.

There were many exxtremely large potholes in the gravel yard. l The office itself was not open; this site has abbreviated hours Sunday. I have an SUV but even with that vehicle, driving in the lot was a bumpy proposition. I would never bring a low slung car into the yard. The office is in the gravel lot with the equipment, not out front. This lot is actually an inappropriate location for a Uhaul office because of the extremely poor maintenance of the driving surface. The potholes need to be filled in and then gravel spread. Filling the potholes with gravel doesn't work in this busy area. PARK YOUR CAR OUTSIDE THE EQUIPMENT YARD AND WALK BACK TO THE OFFICE!Regan F.

Truck was not clean. Windshield cracked. Furthermore, my reservation was for 4PM New Year's Eve. Location closed at noon so they asked me to pick it up early. I was doing surgeries so my wife went to get the keys. We were told the time for pick up would still be counted as 4PM. When wife got there, they said they'd extend it for a fourth day free due to the early pick up. When dropping off the truck and dolly, got hit with an extra charge - turns out they kept the time picked up as noon and then they didn't give the 4th day beyond that. So hit with a $90 charge for basically 4 hrs past due (even though it was maybe 20 minutes late based on 4PM time, and not late given the 4 day promise). I am willing to forego the $90 because I am sick of dealing with UHaul's crap. Not using again.Dimitri T.

The 10 ft trucks dont come with a ramp, I did not know this at the time of rental, there were no trucks available with ramps, so I had a very hard time lifting some heavy belongings into the truck.Michael M.

The guy who helped attach the trailer to my RAV4 was great. My only complaint is the fact that my ball hitch was too low for the 6x12 trailer I was picking up. I have never towed anything before ever, so I was not very experienced. I ended up packing my Uhaul and unpacking it the same day because it was hitting the ground when it was full. Even empty it only had about 3â€ clearance before the hitch would hit the road. That being said, if the guys at the pick up location saw that my hitch was low, and if they had recommended me to get another ball hitch to bring the trainer higher, that might have solved my issue. Overall it was a great learning opportunity. And the guys at the location were friendly and helpful. I'm renting a bigger truck and buying a higher ball hitch.Christine B.

Keep notes on what needs to be inspected and fixed. I dealt with a back door that would get stuck and had to muscle it out. I cut my thumb and pinched a few other fingers. This should be fixed, if I wasn't physically able to unjam it, I could have seriously hurt myself. And the tow I used had cracked wheel guards. Then I am not sure why I needed to pay an additional 43 dollars at the pickup when I paid the difference over the phone when I changed the date of pickup. I though I was fully paid off and had to pay again at pickup.Stephen B.

The trailer I rented had torn vehicle straps that go over the wheel to secure it. One strap was not usable and I had to get and use an alternate strap to get the van I was purchasing. The management was friendly enough but not at all helpful with any instruction or assistance in particulars of locating or moving another vendor who was blocking access to the trailer. They were friendly but just said ok, you saw it out there. Was a ok experience other than the equipment was in bad repair as far as straps.Mark G.
