Wear a mask consistently, the employee who rented us the van walked into the office without a mask and then put it on after being near us. The back of the Uhaul was full of unfolded, unorganized packing blankets. We had to do a U-Turn in the parking lot which turned into a 15-point turn. I did appreciate that the windshield was defrosting when we picked up the truck.

Right as I checked out the truck I slid sideways on the ice on a slight hill. This was a near miss and easily could have been an accident. It was where the water runs off the storage units. This is an accident waiting to happen. Other that that my experience was great.

The mobile phone self check system is terrible. The reviewing process took very long. the process of finding the key was painful. There is no sign to suggest where the office is. The system put down the wrong location of the key. In total, the whole process took almost an hour. Will never try to pick up the truck using the app again.

Be sure the trucks are clean and in working order. My 10' truck only got ~2-3 mpg and I drove slow and carefully. There was also garbage and debris in the back of the truck when I received it. I had to clean it myself before using.

The online paperwork should allow a way to edit what is already in the system AND the updated conditions of rental seem cumbersome. These are suggestions only. My lifetime experience with Uhaul has always been good.

The cab if the truck had a child's shoe and candy left under the seats. The A/C didn't work and I had a 3 1/2 hour drive in 91° weather. Not impressed at all.

When I picked up the truck I was told it was at full gas, but the gauge said 3/4 tank I assumed faulty gauge.. When I brought it back I had filled it up to full and the gauge went up to full. So, I'm not sure where the discrepancy was.
