Dealer rented truck with NO gas! Has No telephone and is in the worst unsafe part of Memphis. Uhaul needs to physically visit this dealer. This experience cost me over 200.00 in gas and is not a positive representative of u haul. FYI try and call their phone number.Carl T.

There was trash in the trailer. Additionally, the moving blankets and dolly i had reserved were not there and I was not informed of this until I arrived to pick up the trailer. I had to search all over Memphis for a dolly to use. It wasted 2 hours of my day.Charles W.

Close down!!! To begin with. We were booked for a uhaul at 10:15. Get to the location at 10. And Called. They said they don't open till 12:30. Rescheduled booking. We get back there at 12:15. And there was someone else booked for the same truck. The guy was trying to see who he should rent the truck to. To make everyone happy. Got the truck went home. Not even 20 minutes away. Parked. Tried to crank the truck up again to move closer to the front door. And it wouldn't start. Waited hours for answers and for someone to come replace the battery. The neighborhood dealer at electrolyfe would not answer the phone. Called both numbers several times after the battery died. No answer. He eventually called back an hour or so later. Not to mention. He charged us for 200 miles. He claimed was an estimate. But we were unaware that it works like that or that he did that until we looked at the receipt. He didn't tell us initially that he was putting an estimate in or anything. Knew nothing about a deposit. He charged us for insurance without our consent. Received the final receipt and it showed 47. The distance between electrolyfe. To my old house. To the new house back to electrolyfe isn't 47 miles. More like 35. We didn't even drive 40 miles! Then. My boyfriend spoke with the manager over the neighborhood dealer at electrolyfe and the dealer told all lies. He never told us about the estimated 200 miles before he input it. He never asked if we wanted insurance on the truck. And he was absolutely no help with the truck being broke down!!!! The uhaul was in my name because my boyfriend was the one to call to see what was available and I wasn't around to give my credit card If a major credit card was needed. So he used his debit card. The dealer lied to his manager stating he never spoke to my boyfriend. That my boyfriend was never around. when that's exactly who he did business with. I was there. I gave my ID phone number and everything. But he definitely spoke with my boyfriend more than me.! I did not know Uhaul did this 3rd party thing. But I never never do business with a neighborhood dealer again!!!Shermeka L.

Your rep did not explain I had to do the vehicle inspection right then and there. There was trash in the cab that the rep must of seen since he had to sit in the driver seat to do the mileage.Luis A.

My whole Uhaul experience was terrible that day. First, the Union Ave cancelled my month-long reservation with no warning. When I went to pick, up my 15 ft truck they told me they gave it away. What was worse was the customer service I didn't receive there. They could have cared less. No one cared at all. I had to get online and find a 10 foot truck in an area that was not a good place to be.THOMAS A.
Being on time, and actually having the â€œguaranteedâ€ reservation equipment on site is a good start. Being knowledgeable about how the truck and tow works and not just winging it is also helpful especially when the customer is towing a car.Igal M.

Horrible experience. This was not my original location. Original location was closer to my starting point and pick up time was 10AM. I received a call at 7:45AM telling me that the location did not have a truck (that I had reserved and paid for several days ahead of time). They found another truck at another location (a juice bar miles away from original location) that would be ready at 12:00. Even though I did the online reservation, the manager, working remotely, had to reenter all of my information and wait for confirmation from UHaul. Oh, and the truck did not show up until 1:00PM. I finally got the truck at 1:45 (so much for skipping the wait by going online). The truck also only had a half tank of gas. I got charged twice, once for each reservation and had to go thru the process of requesting a refund for one of the charges, which was actually pretty easy. Now I am getting charged $2.73 for the 6 extra miles driven. I guess they don't take into account that they moved my pick up location more than that from my start point.Kurt V.
