Site looks more like a junkyard than a truck rental, but the custodian was friendly and the rental process was smooth.

This location can be best described as a junkyard. The office was empty at 8:30, and after walking around for a few minutes, I called out and was answered by a mechanic from an adjoining business who informed me that the U-Haul representative had 'stepped out' and that the 15' truck I reserved was not available, and I would have to take a 20' truck, "only 5 feet bigger". The truck was parked on a grass/dirt hillside, and had dirt on the floormat, not swept clean after the last user. The back door was open, condensation had formed on the ceiling and dripped down on our cargo. Upon return, I found the office empty again, and waited around for 15 minutes before the same guy that helped me in the morning flew past me in a cloud of dust, parked and we went back into the office. Again, the rep was not there, but the mechanic took my information, milage and the receipt from the gas station. I pointed out to him that the truck had only a tick above 1/4 tank, but my pre-rental receipt showed 1/2 tank. I took before and after pictures of the gas gauge, showing that my $10.00 after-use purchase left the tank with more than I started with, after only 13.4 miles. He said the U-Haul rep would call regarding this, but never did, and I was then charged another $13.50 for fuel. This is not the service I am used to from U-Haul.

James JI strongly recommend asking the customer if the phone rep went over mile limitations and fuel charges, as I had reserved my equipment only minutes before pick-up and was literally en route before hanging up.
Ursula SI was told I could drop the uhaul off at any location and then I did and was charged $180 wrong drop off fee. I should have been told about the fee in the beginning. The drop off location also did not say anything about the fee. This is just bad business.
Michael FThe trailer was full of trash. I had to help attendant unload heavy items from it. They charged me for 4 days rental plus 4 days insurance after I returned it the same day. Went to location to try to clear up. They never took care it after acknowledging their error. I contacted U-Haul Corporate in Orlando. A supervisor later contacted me and refunded the charges for the three extra days rental and insurance.
Peter CThe first person I dealt was not to helpful and I did not feel confident handing over the keys to him. After pressing him for details on the check in process, he got someone else that did seem to understand the check in process.
ross pWhen I attempted to return the trailer I was told they could not take it because it was too large. I was provided a phone number of another location. When I called the number I was advised there was a 60 minute wait. The phone was never answered. I had to check around to find a location myself.
Kenneth WHad to go through a few trailers until there was one that did not have other random stuff in it. Finally, found one that (even though was not clean) didn't have any other random stuff in it. Trailer functioned okay, no issues there. Not the best affiliate.
Tim SNo next time. Truck had no door lock. Door wouldn’t close. I had to hold door closed while driving to change truck. Filled up tank and it started leaking everywhere. Still waiting on a call for gas credit

FRANKLIN RThe guy that took my return was really nice, but apparently not very good at his job. Either that or he’s a total scammer. My truck was due for return at 10 am on Sunday. I returned it Saturday around 4 pm (18 hours early). On Monday I get an email from Uhaul charging me for 2 extra days. The receipt says that I returned the truck Monday at 11:08 am. Not quite sure how I could have done that while I was working 45 minutes away. Currently disputing the charges with Uhaul.

lyn cManager was very nice and helped get 26 footer out from a really tight spot. Offered to stay later than closing for our return. Would have liked the cargo area to have been swept out.
Carl GPlace and management/owner were excellent. The only complaint I have is again and as always with Uhaul main office and systems. You give a drop off location with instructions that it’s any hour self drop off with the links sent or the apps and this particular yard is a locked gated yard. This caused me delays , phone calls waiting and confusion and nearly late for work with the plan I made. While I was told later on phone call that I can leave it outside the gate, there was no way as a responsible customer that I was gonna do that without calling and being told I could. My complaint is with Uhaul, not this yard or manager.. .. he got the call and came down early at 8 AM when they don’t open til 10. Still don’t see why I couldn’t drop it at one of three yards in Bunnel which is in the county and vicinity of my destination.
JOSEPH AWorse UHaul experience I have ever had. The employee basically showed me where the trailer was and I did the rest. No receipt, no return destination picked, no damage assessment and I hadn’t even paid. They didn’t even know I was coming and no one answered their phone for two days. UHaul should visit this site!!
James KI dropped the trailer off at 12pm on 7/24. The employee made a copy of my agreement and said he couldn’t give me a receipt because he had to get someone else to close the ticket and they weren’t there. The ticket got closed at 6:19pm. This caused me to get billed for an extra day. I’m trying to get a refund. Pretty unprofessional.

SAM CThe trailer had a flat tire, and the other 3 tires were below half. I filled them with air, and the flat one had an audible leak. That tire was also in terrible condition. The trailer itself was filled with broken glass and what looked like a ceramic of some sort.
Leonard SQuoted me wrong price and I was overcharged as a result. 140 for less than a 25 mile trip and 2 day renting period is unexcusable. I was told 20 dollars a day, 99 cent a mile. 20 + 20+ 25 = 65. I left the tank with slightly more than I started with and they still over charged me. I have an fpl bill coming off of my card tonight and now the payment isnt going to go through and our power will be shut off. Now my uncle whos in an oxygen tank will have to worry until I figure this out. Sounds like a possible lawsuit all over 140 dollars.

The mileage was Wrong on the truck and truck called after about two miles of driving, a link was sent to me to enter correct mileage and gas tank bc that was wrong too!! However, when I dropped off the truck they did not fix the incorrect mileage and charged me EXTRA MILEAGE!! The mileage when I picked up the truck was 93686 and they entered 93625 and charged me extra. Also the tank registered less than 1/2 tank and it was reported to have 7/8! I told all of these things but apparently it didn’t matter because it wasn’t validated at drop off and btw, I left more gas in the truck than the way I received it. Lastly, I am a 54 year old woman and reserved a hand truck which this nasty pick up place said they did not have a hand truck nor could they tell me where else I could get one...really made my move miserable. The whole experience was miserable and messed up.
Christy DMy original pick up location that I scheduled was for U-Haul Moving & Storage of Daytona Beach. At the last minute, U-Haul changed my pick up location to Emotorcars of Florida in Holly Hill. This location was decrepit and uninviting. My rental truck was littered with paper and tissues, sand was on the floor and the main cab smelled like piss. The gas tank was also just under the 3/4 full level. Furthermore, the owner of Emotorcars was very unhelpful when it came to my rental equipment. He rushed me and made me feel like an unvalued customer when I asked about the rental equipment that I had already purchased, but was not ready for me in the truck or at this pick up location. I had to go out of my way to the original pick up location I had reserved the truck at to get the rental equipment that I had purchased (and it also looked like there was several trucks available for rent, which made the process of having to pick up my rental truck at another location that much more frustrating). Finally, I filled the gas tank to over 1/2 tank upon my return (which was a day early and under mileage) and was still charged another $20+ after going through all of this. To say I'm disappointed with the way U-Haul handled my order and treated me as a paying customer is an understatement.

The original U-haul dealer that I reserved the truck with didn’t let corporate know that they would be closed because it was Memorial Day. So I called uHaul and they sent me to another dealer. He was very nice and charged me for a lower price truck for my trouble.

paul mThe side of the truck says $19.95 and the price on the contract says $89.95. I wasn't told that the truck was not $19.95 up front. This was a shock to me and it will mean no Christmas for my family.
barbra sMy experience from start to finish with uhaul was terrible. I made the the reservation using the website and selected pick up at a location listed on the website in my town. I reached out the location only to be told they don't carry 15 foot trucks there, so I'm not clear why they were listed as an option on the website. I called customer service and was told that someone would call me by 600 pm the night before pick up to tell me where I could get my truck. At 601 pm the night before, still had not heard from anyone. I called myself and was given my pick up location. I arrived there to be told by the gentleman at emotors llc that he "did not do" one way trucks despite this being my reservation. He had to "call his manager," despite me being on the phone with uhaul and the service rep telling him that they do one way rentals and that truck was reserved for me. He took me out side and have me the keys. I received no paper work or contract. I was not given a walk around inspection. Upon entering the cab of the truck, it stank of cig smoke with actual cig butts in the cup holder. There was also soda spilled on the console and dash. I had to clean it immediately upon getting it home. But the best part, was as soon as I left the parking lot the low fuel light came on, even though the gentleman from emotors marked the key paper as 1/4 of a tank. I will never rent from uhaul again.
