No direction was given when dropping off truck and trailer. Took them a few hours to check things in and in the meantime I received numerous calls from Uhaul asking if we had dropped the truck off...which we had but apparently no one put it in the system.

I dealt directly with the location as the UHaul website was very difficult to navigate and kept directing me to a different location much further from my house even though I specified the Agway location in Williston. I even received a call from the Riverside location in Burlington. I promptly cancelled that reservation. I will not use your website again.

We were not able to pick up the truck after hours because the rental was not properly set up, which meant we drove 30 miles for nothing and were not able to start moving when we planned. We waited more than 40 minutes to get the truck once the location opened the next day and, while the associate got us on our way quickly once she was able to, by the time we got the truck home we had lost another half a day. Adding to the frustration was your glitchy mobile app, which had me clicking in an endless loop with no indication of the real problem, and a customer service rep who was not familiar enough with the mobile screens to be much help. It was not until we called a local contact listed (and waited for his call back) that we were told we could not pick up the truck when we had planned.

Everyone that I worked with in this experience was wonderful, however, I was informed 24 hours before moving that I couldn’t get the U-Haul I booked for my move. I totally understand that everyone is moving from Burlington at this time of the year, which is why I booked on May 10th for a move on the 24th. (Two weeks in advance) I would have appreciated getting an email or phone call sooner about not having a 10ft truck available in my area so I could have made different arrangements to switch to a van sooner. I had to drive 6 hours yesterday for a 2 hour move. Everyone I worked with was very professional, polite, and accommodating, I just wish I would have been informed of this change sooner. It was very stressful having to worry about if my belongings were going to fit in the van, and getting the van back to Burlington.

Essex AGWAY was great. After my reservation from Uhaul was a shit show. Day before move get call stating NO 26’ truck at reservation location. Had to spend 90 minutes on phone finding a new truck to rent. I AM STILL VERY UNHAPPY WITH UHAUL, ITS EMPLOYEES AND WILL HAMMER UHAUL ON SOCIAL MEDIA. I WILL NEVER USE UHAUL AGAIN. AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND. YOUR VERMONT AREA MANAGER NAMED DAVID, (unknown last name) IS AN ASSHOLE. WAS NO HELP & JERK ON THE PHONE. IF HE WORKED FOR ME I WOULD SEND PACKING. IF THIS ISHOW YOU RUN YOUR BUSINESS THEN I FEEL SORTY FIR UHAUL. PLEASE HAVE THE UHAUL PRESENT EMAIL. ILL LET HE OR SHE KNOW HOW REAL AMERICANS WORK AND ARE SICK OF BIG BUSINESS SCREWING US OVER. ONCE AGAIN VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH UHAUL. LACK OF CARE & CONCERN FOR THE CUSTOMER.

The truck was in horrible condition and had a leaky roof. They didn’t have another truck available to replace it and put in no effort to find another one or discount this one despite our stuff getting wet and some of it ruined. All they said was to call uhaul.
