Rented/reserved equipment (dolly’s, furniture pads) ahead of time when booking the truck only to find that none of the equipment was provided at pick up. Was told to call customer service who said there was no other equipment available within 2+ hours of pickup location. Extremely disappointing, unreliable, and unhelpful. Very poor service and I won’t be using uhaul in the future.

Amanda DThe truck wasn't at this location when I arrived. The lady working called her manager and then told me they did not have a truck and I was dismissed. When I asked if the truck was on the way she told me "No, call customer service." I called customer service, after 10 min I took the recorded advice and used "chat" this timed out before being answered. I eventually found a new pickup address on the bottom of the confirmation email I received the night before. This location was in Thornton, although the blankets and dolly I ordered were not there the truck was and the gentleman who served me was polite and helpful.

JOHN CI had an extremely horrible experience with your Bradford uhaul location. I booked a uhaul truck at 2pm. My reservation was confirmed. I had purchased furniture that needed to be picked up by 3:30pm. When I arrived (before 2pm) to pick up the truck. The attendant was seated, conversing with another person in the office (not wearing masks in this common area I will add). When I asked about my reservation, his response was “oh yeah, I rented that truck out to someone else”. “I saw your reservation come in.” Upon hearing this I asked him how this could have happened and expressed my frustration. I also asked him why he had not called me or called customer service when he had realized what happened. He started swearing and I left the office and called into uhaul. I was placed on a long hold, transferred between US based representatives to the Ontario scheduling department, and had my call disconnected multiple times. My husband finally found a truck available in Thorton, On. We called in to book it and the Georgia based representative had no idea what we were talking about. After much back and forth, she finally located the truck and we made our way out to Thorton to pick it up. The experience was stressful and frustrating and was handled extremely unprofessionally by the Bradford motel representative. I would appreciate a full refund due to the incompetence of the aforementioned representative and inconvenience he caused.
LINDA LThis was one of the worst pick up experiences of my life. I had my location pickup changed from newmarket to Thornton, and they changed the time too. But told them I had movers coming and I needed it my original time. They called back and confirmed that would work. Yet when I went to pickup the vehicle at 11:30 am, I was unable to pickup the vehicle online or instore (as the rep wasn't there), the Uhaul guy on the phone said I didn't use truck share 24/7 even though I showed the gas station attendee it was on my reservation as I had picked it. So I ended up being stranded at this gas station for 1.5 hours, way past when I needed it, until the Uhaul rep pulled over when they were hours away to check me in on their end from their phone. This was a complete disaster, the Uhaul employee who told me that the 11:30 am pickup time also said my mileage would be reimbursed off my rental costs which never was, and the manager I talked to about that afterwards said shed look into that since there was no note and shed get back to me, which it's been over a week and she hasn't gotten back to me. This was a complete joke of an experience. And caused much distress over my move across the country not happy at all.
CURTISDAVID DI really confused about the fuel charge on my receipt! I thought it is overcharged. I used the truck within one hour and 30 miles distance for pickup a patio furniture. It is showed total gas was used 4 Lites but it was charged $18.74! The price on that time was only $1.249 per lite! The contract No. is 26990930. Please correct this mistake. Thanks! Yanming CTruck is not safe to be driving and makes noise at 50 mph. Representative was rude and had no dolly on site. I’m still not happy that I reserved a 26’ truck and got a 20’ instead the day before my move. Had to make TWO trips and was only give 507 km and a $50 credit back. Also not happy that all you could offer me was a trailer that isn’t even legal for me to drive. Call the OPP to find this out not to mention that the tow chains on the trailer are not up to code in Ontario. It may fly in the states but not here, check Canadian law before you tell people what they can tow behind and fully loaded truck. Not at all please with the Commerce park location. The guy that was there on Saturday June 27, 2020 was rude, arrogant and was yelling at us to stop calling head office. That place needs to be inspected and closed as far as I’m concerned until he’s fired. There was also people waiting for their trucks to show up. Seems to be very mis-managed. When reservations are made they should be upheld. I’ve dealt with uhaul many times and I will never do it again. You guys can’t honour a contract.
James KI will be reaching out to the customer service department when I have spare time because of how unhappy I am with this location. I drove this truck 4 hours away from pickup location and had to stop every 4-5 exits on the highway because I had to clean the windshield by hand every 15-30 minutes because both wipers were entirely non functional. My already 4 hour drive, ended up taking 6.5 hours because I had to stop to clean the truck so frequently because I seriously couldn’t even see out of the windshield. I almost got in numerous accidents because of such minor visibility. The truck was also very low on gas, which I understand happens, but was very inconvenient.

Marie-Anne LI reserved a dolly and there was not one given I have to drive 95 km out of my way to pick up the truck I waited for 45 minutes for someone to show up to the location to be able to let me take the truck Because I drove so far for the truck I had to pay double what I would have for gas. I will never rent from uhaul again

Tyshan TThe computer system was not working and I had to wait while the attendant contacted someone to get it going. Meanwhile, whenever a customer came in to buy gas she stopped working on my order and attended to that customer which was quite often. It took close to an hour befor I was given a truck. Then when at my location ready to load the truck, the truck did not start. It took over 1/2 hour before I finally got someone at Uhaul to act and get a service guy dispatched. It took 1 hour for the serviceman to arrive and he replaced the battery in 1/2 hour. The truck was not full with gas when I got it and I put $70.00 worth of gas to fill it but did not use it all up..... I only got a $10.00 gas rebate upon return but should have received at least $25.00, back. My overall experience was TERRIBLE!
