The manager argued with me the day before saying it was my fault I booked last and they couldn't guarantee me the truck I choose on the website. She huffed and puffed on the phone and told me it was b/c of her allergies when she was getting frustrated. At one point she put me on mute and wouldn't respond. She told me that the truck I chose was a preferred truck and that I could take what they had or drive 30 miles out of my way to get another truck. She finally found me a truck. The day of pick up the U-Haul Representative was not there. The people in the store didn't know what they were doing so I had to pay online then get the keys from them. This place was the worst place ever and they should be shut down.Shaquan M.
The man who rented Me the uhaul was nowhere to be found when I dropped the truck off. So I had to do a self return on uhaul.com it was very time consuming and inconvenient.Devan S.
I originally reserved my uhaul at an actual location. Uhaul automatically transferred my reservation to s gas station on the other side of town. When i showed up there was no one there to help me. I had to wait 40 min for someone to show up at a gas station that's placed in front of a motel with prostitutes. They also made me take pictures of the dashboard and text it to some number, basically making me do all the work. When i returned it, the uhaul worker was not there again so i returned the key to the gas station worker. He asked me if i put gas in it. The uhaul man never said i had to put gas on it when i returned it. This is the worse experience I've ever had. Probably will never use uhaul againJasmine N.
The Man was rude. I rented the truck on Tuesday and turned it in on Tuesday, they are just checking it in today and trying to charge me more money. Fuck No!mia B.

This location is not suitable for a uhaul. It took 30 min to park the truck. There were police every where. I ended up leaving it in front of the gas station. The agent was onsite and I had to give him my credit number over the phone. I was not comfortable doing that. Returning the truck I had to ask him for the final amount. I have used your services a lot. By far this was the worst.PHINEAS C.

Location allows food trucks to serve in their lot on weekends. When I returned the truck, the parking lot was full of young kids "cruising"... Loud music... Ppl yelling and cussing. Ppl asking for money. Seemed like a dangerous location at night.Craig L.
I was double charged for the truck rental fee. After speaking with customer service, I was told that I had to call the location to have my bill adjusted. I have called the store several times over the last 4 days and the "U-Haul person" is never there and hasn't returned my calls.Steven J.

It was a quick arrangement and the man that helped me was a god sent.. I had to find something that day or all my plans would have been messed up.. He came and took care of me quick.. Thank.. don't remember his name but he came in at 2pmtwanda A.
First of all, I called the other New Bern Ave location to make the reservation. The girl on the phone was very rude and was rushing me through my conversation . I was trying to ask questions and she was trying to hurry me along and I'm guessing because it was close to 5 o'clock . But then we get all the way through to the end of the conversation and she said that they don't even have the truck that I wanted at their location and that I would have to go to the one that is down the street . This is the one that I had purposely not chosen due to its location . It is located at a gas station that is beside a hotel that has a lot of shady looking people hanging around outside and walking through the parking lot . The people working in the store did not seem to know anything about the Uhaul process. They have to call someone else who apparently is in charge of renting the U-Haul and the drop offs, and you have to talk with them over the store clerk's phone. This person was not at the store when I picked up, but he happened to be there when I dropped off. However, he was a pleasant person and professional. It was just frustrating trying to explain to the store clerks why you're there because they act like they have no clue of what you're talking about and then waiting for them to call that person that does. They need to have someone working in the store who knows what is going on and could possibly handle the rental pick ups/drop offs and taking payments. They didnt even have any receipts there to sign. He emailed the receipts. The process overall could be handled a lot better. I definitely would not rent from them again... Not Uhaul as a whole, just not this location. The truck was clean and in great condition, but that's about it.Robin W.
It wasn't 3700 New Bern Avenue fault it was U-Hauls fault my first pickup location was on Capital Boulevard in Raleigh North Carolina I get there before 10 in the morning my appointment was at 10 I was told they didn't have it and my new appointment was made for 10:15 and I received the message at 10:13 so it was a whole big ordeal just to get the dolly that I wanted to rent so the store where I picked up was fine but U-Haul themselves really did a piss poor jobMatthew B.

Your system changed my drop off location twice. I called both of the previous locations, which were actually on the right side of town. They were less than helpful. This location is rather sketchy and I felt uncomfortable there. This experience and the last one have been unpleasant. I am thinking I am done with U-Haul.John C.

When I went to pick up my truck, it was jammed tightly in a parking spot between two larger vehicles - someone parked too close. The attendant back out one of the other trucks for me. Also, the attendant alerted me to the fact that there was an issue with the gas cap locking tightly and the warning light would be staying on. Finally, while the interior of the truck was indeed clean, it did have a bit of an unpleasant odor. Functionally though, everything went fine.Philip S.

This pick up location is horrible. It backs up to a motel with a prostitute walking through the parking lot and several random individuals standing around the trucks. For a self service location...it is very unsafe!Tyla P.
