Staff was friendly and did great. The place is a dump. However heard it's closing in a few weeks anyways. Maybe that's why. Truck worked great and did what I needed to do. Truck wasn't washed before I got it but didn't effect what I used it for cab and back was clean!!

Make sure the interior of the cab is clean. It was very dirty and had someone else's old clothes in it, including what looked like a bag of dirty underwear. Gross.

It only took me $5 and some cents to top off the tank where it was back to full yet I got charged for 52 miles of traveling which I did not do. When I mentioned to the gentleman at the counter he just said don't know what to tell you call U-Haul if it was me I wouldn't call you all ever again after being ripped off like this

Fix the app, it's terrible on both phones we tried. That's goes for the website as well. It's basically unusable. Also, I pre-checked in and added my DL info, then couldn't check in on the day of rental because it wasn't working while requesting the same info. Actually put the requested equipment in the truck when you have confirmed it and charged someone for it's use. Make it easier to contact the rental site. Took 3 days, never heard back from regional Uhaul. Better customer service policy. I was only refunded the equipment rental price but we had to go out of our way to get the move done without it, and I spent several hours trying to get ahold of the rental site, and still ended up having to call Uhaul directly.

Tell them ahead of time what they will need / be doing at the 24/7 pickup. A 2nd form of identification was a curve ball. I couldn't easily taken a picture of my passport but nowhere in the emails I received prepared me for that.

The man was nice a he unloaded the trailer unlike the last place in Ankeny where I had to unload it and I'm not physically able to do so would not recommend them at all

I reserved a utility dolly and there was no dolly for my use, yet was still billed, even though I notified them in the truck return portion of the app. The truck only had 1/4 tank of fuel, and was parked back of another uhaul and a junk jeep that you could tell had sat there awhile with the wheels chocked. I had to manuever the truck between the uhaul and this jeep...very tight. Could not even move to a more convinient spot? Then even though I did the lisence pic and personal photo for pick up verification, they still had me wait while they verified my identity with a call to a reference of mine. My wife...so a phone call is better than govt. Issued ID and additional real time photo. The dolly is the biggest issue, I was moving my 3 person household alone...had to carry dressers and shelves and tables myself, unassisted down the steep outdoor stairs by hand. This was the worst moving experience I have had in my 54 years.

Please note comments I left on my return electronic documents. In addition, I forgot to mention the drivers seat belt doesn't retract. This location and the vehicle are junky. The truck is worn out and questionably safe. Certainly until I cleaned the windows inside and out and the mirrors it was not. The steering and brakes both need attention too. Endured a miserable trip with this truck. Your electronic system for rental and return however is top notch. Just a lousy authorized location and equipment. I certainly paid way too much for the value I received.

Comments were added when I checked the truck back in. I never heard from anyone. The truck was frozen when we picked it up so we couldn't inspect the inside until we got it home and warmed up. The inside was covered in dirt and had metal pieces on the ramp. A utility cart was supposed to be in the truck as well but it wasn't. I had to drive to another U-Haul location which was on the opposite side of town to get one and then bring it back to that location since the pick up location was apparently closed the whole week. Overall disappointed.

Tried going to the location on U-Haul Moving & Storage of Southeast in Des Moines. We were on the phone with them after a collision and was on the phone with them when we were able to get there 1 minute after close. They refused to help us and said they weren't on the phone when the middle eastern woman working was clearly the one on the phone. Resulted in having to stay overnight in a hotel and missing work the following day. Awful service. Guy at FHE was very nice and helpful.

Not the fault of this drop off location but we were forced to drive an extra 35 minutes from our destination of Ames to DesMoines because Ames was “full”. Get this figured out U-Haul!!!

There is a person who works here named Dan. He is very helpful and honest. I accidentally left money in the uhaul and Dan found it and called right away to tell me so I could come back and pick it up. I was so happy with his honestly I offered him a reward but he would not take it. Dan is a very special person. I highly rate him for honestly and service. He is friendly and efficient. He made my day!

Get your app to work properly. It cost me to be two hours late getting to where I was going to get my furniture and I was paying Five Guys $20 an hour to sit there and do nothing not happy at all about that
