You should send someone out to look at this place before you continue to send customers. It's pretty shabby. The web-based check-in and check-out is a good concept, but it's not yet suitable for general use. Specific problems: On check-out, a pop-up inviting me to participate in a satisfaction survey got in the way of my clicking the final button on my mobile device screen, That prevented me from getting the drop box lock combo and completing the return. I had to call customer service, which took more than an hour (very helpful agent once I got to him, but it took him 30 minutes to locate the combo). As moving day is a busy one, I couldn't remain at the return location that long and had to go back to drop off the key once I was told the combo — a significant waste of my time. While waiting on hold, I learned from the recorded message that I should lock the dolly in the cab — that information should have been part of the mobile check-out. I was able to do that when I returned to drop off the key, but would otherwise never have known. More testing and troubleshooting is needed!

There was difficulty with the order and it too 2 hours to straighten out, but the gentleman at the site was trying hard and very friendly and helpful. I got a call from customer service at 510-651-5400 and the woman was rude and unprofessional. She kept telling me that the facility I was at did not have the equipment I rented and even though I told her that I was standing there looking at the truck I wanted to rent and that I received both email and text confirmations showing the facility I was at, she told me I was at the wrong place and would have to go somewhere else. I finally told her to cancel my order and the guy at the facility reentered the order and everything was good. The woman on the phone was the worst customer service representative I have ever had to deal with. If I hadn't had several good experiences in the past with Uhaul, I would never have rented from them again based on her.
