I really can’t see what else this location could do to make our experience better than what it was. Great friendly people , up to date vehicles, clean. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone

The facility was closed at my appointment time. They also did not have the van that I was to rent. I called the reservation line and was told that they could find a truck at another location. ( 9 miles away) I said ok and then tried to call the other location. Someone who spoke English poorly answered the phone and said that he could not rent the truck, even though I had a new reservation. He said that the lady who handled the rentals would be in later that afternoon. The original location then called and proceeded to rent me a truck. ( he never could find my reservation) The truck used a huge amount of fuel which added to my overall expenses. When I returned it that afternoon, there was a new van sitting there for rent.

Attendant was knowledgeable professional and friendly, I had two rentals to return. He looked them up and then stated he could accept both. We began check in and I received a call from another u haul agent where I had been told to drop trailer. This agent began telling me I was late and delinquent on my turn in. I stated I was turning it in presently at this location. He then stated I could not. I told him I was. What I found troubling is the Web site does not allow you any flexibility. You rent it you turn it in in 2 days. I am in my 70's. I do not load a trailer all day and then drive to new location to empty it on a side walk to comply with 2 day turn around. I told this to the rental agent in Havelock. I requested additional time as I would be done late Tuesday 12/ 31/2019. He added extra days. I did not notice turn in was at 11AM. Truck rental was a great Transaction and all was excellent service was exceptional.

While the representative was helpful, I was not welcomed with "Hi, welcome to U-haul, can I help you?" Salesmanship on the part of most of the younger generation has been lost or never learned. A little "glad you're here" goes a long way. In completing the paperwork, I was required to download a link to my phone to send in a photo of my driver's license. When I created an account with U-haul, I entered my valid DL into the account profile data, and the on-screen sign-up said submitting a photo copy of my DL was optional. I opted not to have a photo of my DL on the U-haul website. When I was checking out at the Market Street location, the rep said she could not go to the checkout screen on her system without my photo id being uploaded. This simply made me mad because the account sign up said it was optional, and now I was being forced to do the opposite of what I was told. Car companies do not require a photo id to be uploaded - I have rented cars for decades, yet renting a trailer requires a photo id? While the rep was pleasant and courteous, I got no sense of appreciation or enthusiasm or is there anything else I can help with? It was essentially perfunctory, but maybe that's good enough in today's environment.

Rented a 15’ uhaul and back lift door when lifted up got stuck and wasn’t able to get it down. Had to call and get another personal truck to use. Called the Uhaul provider the next morning and was told the door gets jammed when opened. I was unable to use it and still had to pay full price for it. Would not recommend that uhaul provider!!!

Mr. Thompson is always kind and highly professional. I will and have highly recommended him. When and if i have to use U-Haul I will return to this location. He is much more reputable than the other U-Haul businesses in the area. Specifically the one at 20th and Bridges Street, in Morehead City. Thank you for allowing me to share.

Mr Thompson was a real gentleman. However after my husband and I drove 7 hours after packing and unpacking the U-Haul, I forgot to look at my drop off point on the paperwork and googled the nearest drop off place. That man’s store who’s name is Ray on Bridges street Morehead city NC. His store is 20th Street Grocery and Grill. He was arrogant to me and my husband and caused us severe emotional distress. He threatened my husband, got right in his face, threatened to punch him out. My husband had to call the police! I was never so up set in my life! Here it is our very first day to the city we chose to live in and our lives are in jeopardy! The man treating us awful! We want his license to do business pulled so no other person has to go through what we did on our first day here. He sells groceries and drug paraphernalia. What happened to the integrity of U haul? My husband has used this company since he was 18 years old and never had a problem. Never once have I ever encountered anyone like Ray, the man who threatened my husband. During the trip a windshield wiper blew off and it was raining. We had to stop and purchase new windshield wipers and put them on in the rain. That man Ray spent 10 years in prison for hiring an under cover cop to kill his wife! The local police told us his history. We can’t believe U-Haul is doing business with this type of person. Appears 9' cargo vans are quite popular and tougher to reserve. More 9' vans would help along with being able to drop them off at a different location.

Traffic could have sent me to a dealer closer to my destination. Also, the truck was not swept out by last renter. There was a damaged top left rear corner cap that was not marked. I pointed this out to the dealer. The windshield wipers need to be replaced. They do not clean the windshield in rain. Overall this was a great rental. The gentleman was very kind and polite.

The owner of this location is an arrogant asshole. This old man called me all day asking when I was coming for my 330 reservation, said if I was not there by 315 he wouldn’t help me as it takes him 45 minutes to do a contract. I’m sorry but I do express check in and it takes less than that. Has to load my 5 dozen blankets and appliance dolly myself. Was rude. We told him we wanted 4 extra days he said I’d have to do that on the back end, this has always been done for me on the front end when I have rented from U-HAUL . Personally He needs his old ass handed to him. I have never met such a prick in my life. I suggest U-Haul looks at your yelp and other reviews of this location of the piss poor reviews your customers have given. I will be leaving a horrible review of this location. He should not be associated with the Your company name.

I was scheduled to return to Morehead City, NC, but the 1st email routed me to Havelock, NC, I called and was routed to the location on Bridges St in Morehead, once I arrived the mgr. said his lot was full (I had already parked on his lot with the truck) bust ask me to take it to miles away to Arrendel St. The Worst Return service in over 40+ years!

drop off exoerience was poor. Was originally told to drop off at 20th and Bridges St location, but they wouldn’t accept trailer saying they were “too full”. I called the toll free number and was given this new location. When I arrived, attendant was “out”- although location was listed as open. I called U-Haul again and was told that I would need to leave trailer and check out online. Could get the app to work. Finally called U-Haul back and they told me to leave receipt in the “box”- a which I did. Very aggravating experience!

I’m not sure who is supposed to supply a receipt for renting a trailer but I didn’t receive one from this location and I was charged $149.86. I rented the trailer to do a military move and need a receipt for reimbursement purposes.

Uhal made a Last minute change to my pick up, it was 45 mins from my home. The trailer I got was not the one I reserved. I was told I could not back with the trailer I was giving, and it was driving cross states. When I called about my drop off location the old guy over the phone told me I had to bring the trailer back a day and half early because I needed today. Could not take 5 seconds off his cell phone to talk to me and it was talking to his son in law about his personal business. He told me to back a non backing trailer, when I told him I was told it was a non backing trailer he told to me to pull the trailer off my truck and back it in a spot by hand. he took my paper work from me while on his cell phone and it was on speaker phone, and did not even check my trailer In. I had to call uhal my self and let them know what was going on. I have use uhal many times and the past 3 times have been horrible. This location was the worse

Awesome experience, after driving 10 hours from Florida, we arrived around 1pm to pickup Uhaul and Tow Dolly. The owner allowed us to take the Uhaul first so we could pack up my Sisters apartment. He said we could come back to pick up Tow Dolly and he would show us how to load the car on the Dolly.. Everything from start to finish at this location was great. After a long trip from Florida to NC to move my sister back to florida..Our experience here at this location was great.. :-)

The person working did not know how to use the U-Haul computer system . Had to call someone at each step of the process, even though I did all the work on-line for this rental. Reserved moving blankets were not available. I had to drive my truck to an out of the way location to get blankets. My moving helpers sat for an hour because of the delay. This location is unorganized. I'm being kind to stop with that comment. I contacted U-Haul in Raleigh and spoke with Mary. She straighted out the details for this location. If I didn't, the delays whould have been longer.
