My only complaint would be the guys I ended up hiring to help me move. They were an hour and 30 minutes late to arrive. And then left 30 minutes early with me not being done. My place was 3 minutes down the road they could have definitely helped me load it and I would have unloaded it myself. It was literally just me. They seemed very agitated and could tell that they were maybe just having a bad day which I understand we all have days like that. However I'm a single mom and I was relying on that help. They could have also gotten it in one load which was equally frustrating and just unprofessional. I've dealt with other movers move before through guys and they were amazing. I was just disappointed with them. However I do have to say the receptionist up there was very helpful and friendly.Elizabeth G.

I was told that the rental I was getting had an indicator light that was on on the dashboard. I was told it was a tire pressure sensor and it had been checked and was fine to drive. The morning of my move I noticed the tire was EXTREMELY low so therefore I had to stop and put air in that tire and the indicator light still remained lit up. Other than taking the extra time to stop and make sure the tire had the correct air pressure the truck was great.Patricia B.

van was not clean and there were dents all over it that I had to document myself. When we first arrived there was no one at the location and we had to call someone and wait 15min for them to arrive. when they did arrive they seemed high and was not very friendly or professional. The location was convenient, with an assortment of trucks and trailers. But tightly parked area, a bit hard and unnerving to pull out as the back of the truck was over a steep drop-off. We brought the truck back at 5:18 on a Saturday to check it in with a person and the person had closed before the advertised time the store was open (5:30) This was very inconvenient as I had to make another trip over Sunday morning to drop off. The afterhours app was too difficult to use on my phone. Not recommended to do that at all as I could not open the app properly.Gregory B.

WS severely disappointed when I placed a "reservation" for a truck 4 days before my need. Within 24 hours received notification that the truck i had "reserved" would not be available at my location, I would have to pick up at a location about 10 extra miles farther. Message was very rude, telling me to be sure to be at the second location as it closed at 4pm. If you are not reserving then don't call it a reservation. You didn't reserve anything. Only explanation I got was "we can't help it if people don't return trucks when they are supposed to" well it is not my fault either, but I would be penalized with wxtra milage to pay. Truck was pretty rough on the outside. No one called to tell us our pick up location was being changed. We were not able to choose the length of rental. Wasn't able to choose online. Tried to call U-Haul to extend. After 20 minutes on hold I was given a different number that was out of the office. Just a mess.Joshua B.
Do not make "Martinsville, IN" a drop-off location, and then change it to "Franklin, IN"... they are not that same. Was trying to drop off in Martinsville and catch an UBER or Lyft up to the Indianapolis Airport (IND) and for hours could not secure a ride from this awful location. Felt very unsafe at night. Do not advertise this location as 24/7 when folks should not be dropping off here in the dark. Super unsafe and shady.Mitchell M.

The only good thing about this was the quick pickup. The truck was dirty and had several maintenance issues. There also wasn't any good place to leave me personal vehicle for the day while I used the rental truck. Returning the truck was also a hassle. When asked if the truck was clean, I put no. You tried to charge me a cleaning fee. I then had to change my answer, so I would not be charged a cleaning fee, that was disgusting when I picked it up.Cletis G.
Overall the return was awful. The drop of was fine but the customer service that we had contact with over the phone were very rude and condescending. Our drop off location was changed to a drop off that was not convenient what so ever. 100 miles out of the way. If your arrangements are made weeks ahead, they should do their best to keep their schedules that are promised.Steven C.
The truck was a little rough to drive but it worked out fine and we got everything done. I thought my final bill was high since we only had it 2 days and only drove it about 20 miles in all and were charged almost $120, but maybe I missed something.Heather W.

Ashley, the manager/owner of this location was extremely kind and helpful. She was the only person who was willing to help me throughout the entire process of my booking. This location was not my original drop off location that I secured when booking. My drop off location was changed the DAY OF MY MOVE! Not only was the drop off location changed the same day, it was changed to a location that took an hour and half to drive to from my new address. Before moving I called the central Indiana regional office to to discuss options and the customer service reps were EXTREMELY rude and hung up on me. No changes, no solutions, no credits, nothing. Due to both the pick up and drop off location changes, U-Haul did not provide me with enough time (I was going to be charged an extra day because I couldn't get the truck to the new drop off location in time), they didn't provide me with enough miles to cover the location changes, and I wasn't compensated for any extra gas. Overall, this experience was a disaster and I will never rent from U-Haul again. As mentioned above, the only saving grace was Ashley, the manager/owner of the Franklin, Indiana location who did not charge me extra because she understood the hassle I experienced. Well my wife had scheduled for a 12' box truck rental. When they sent the confirmation to my wife's cell phone she was in a hospital and couldn't get service. They waited 46 min before they gave our scheduled truck to someone else. Bottom line is 2 hrs on the phone later we got it straightened out but wound up getting a bigger truck than was needed for more money. Impatience must run in the company because when we dripped off the truck my wife and I were going through drop off checklist and a u haul employee told my 14 year old son to move our van because apparently it was blocking someone else from leaving. He did it and I was passed because sure as he might have an accident I guarantee you all would have held him or me liable. Fortunately nothing happened but still not smart on her part. My experience with uhaul has gone down in my 56 yr life as the absolute worst customer service ever. Started with last second booking change of pickup point an hour away from original pickup then a very rude manager in the bloomington indiana office that threw me out if the store ..to a representing that I called In corporate head quarters that I was directed to help with my questions..that HUNG UP IN ME ...the absolute worst experience..I will never rent from uhaul again and will tell anyone I know that js renting to spend the extra money and use penske ..I learned my lesson ..you get what you pay for..ironically it ended up costing more and spending 4 extra hours and didn't even get a refund for the extra miles I had to drive to pick up from the rescheduled location 1 hr away from original Very very poor service and productChristopher W.
My reservation got canceled at 740pm the evening before my agreement to get the truck (less than 24hr prior to) with a TEXT! Then another text 30 afterwards. No call, no email, just a text! What about others whom do not have text messaging on their phone! After I get the cancelation, I call customer service, and I am on hold for 48 minutes! Then the gal transferred me and I was on hold another 45 minutes, again the night before the pick up day (the day me lease ends) at 1245am!! Then when I do get through the gal says I will have to call Regional Office at 7am to get help. So at 7am I call Regional Office and Danielle says, we have NO truck to help. Give me your cell and I will call you back (with NO expected time-frame, again the day my lease ends and HAVE to be out of my apartment). I call again at 930am, because I have not heard back from Danielle at Regional office. Amother gal states "she is still working on it". I receive a text from Franklin uhaul at 11:06am stating Franklin IN has a truck for me. Franklin IN Uhaul company calls and says, "we have one truck we will hold until 1pm for you, the gal reserved it for 10am." So I got NO call back from Danielle stating she made a reservation, instead get a call from a new location stating you have 1hr and 30 mins to pick up your truck. Let me explain further.. the reservation that was originally made was made an entire week in advance!!! Saturday ahead of time for Bloomington IN. Bloomington to Franklin is a 45 minute drive! (45 minutes of country roads and traffic) Upon pick up at Franklin the gal at the desk is cursing MULTIPLE time on the phone while another customer was in the office. We were NOT greeted upon entering the office, nor acknowledged. Completely unacceptable and inappropriate language, as well as the office girl telling us about the prior customers private information and issues! Unacceptable again!! Because I am driving to Franklin from Bloomington thats 45 miles of delayed everything! My storage unit where I was taking my items in MI was closed by the time I was able to get to my destination, which required spending money on a hotel, all while waiting for a phone call from John Papp Truck (the owner and manager of 7 Uhauls, which we left messages to discuss issues and NOBODY called back. This comment form is the ONLY way Uhaul knows the issue because nobody calls back! Absolutely disgusted with Uhaul business, professionalism, and ethical standards for how their company is ran! No discount added upon talking to customer service, no apology given, no acknowledgement of their canceled service with less than 24 hr notice!Cassie P.
