The truck was not clean, but we made sure to return it cleaner than we received it. The shop "opens" at 9AM but no one was there until close to 9:15AM. We then had to wait for a rude customer with no reservation before we were helped, though we did have a reservation. Not good business practice.

The truck almost killed me twice because the brakes made me change lanes. Truck was dirty with trash, fuel gauge was late, and the transmission was messed up. Did not shift to overdrive or final gear while grinding in first. Why pay for insurance when your trucks almost killed me.

I needed a small box truck last minute for a few hours. It was already reserved for that afternoon but they called and asked if the other guy could push it back. He said yes and I was able to take care of my last minute emergency. I really appreciated their help and kindness.

Please be on time - a very basic business principle. My reservation was for 9am, but the very nice person who did the computer work did not show up until 9:20. This added more stress to an already stressful moving day. Everything else was perfect. I would use them again, but add a half hour for expected delay.

Pick up was moved from Fresno to Clovis. This took us 30 minutes out of our way in both directions costing roughly an hour. This caused me to be late returning home for a work appointment which I had to cancel, this ended in me losing $120 in fees. Obviously this is extremely frustrating.

Key drop box has a partition inside that caught part of the key fob and made it sort of reachable if someone has a bit of patience. I took pics to confirm that I did drop off the keys.

Customer Service is very rude. They tell you one thing and then when you return the U Haul they deny saying it. I would rent somewhere else these people think they can treat customers any way they want. Beware of the woman behind the counter she will follow you out to continue being rude and making comments.

Open earlier so people can start their moving days earlier. Explain the fees to be charged, the tax, the environmental fee. Point out where the flasher switch is; it took me a long time to locate it, and I even called another U-Haul renter (I had their phone number.) to try to locate it.

My appointment was set for a 9AM pickup. The first employee arrived after 9 and after finding the first 26' truck was "down in their system" I needed to be swapped into another truck. As I had already completed the online check in and was the only customer on site, I should have been able to depart quickly, however due to the lack of personnel in the office and the slow response of the team on site, I did not depart until just before 10AM.

The pick up location staff were pleasant, knowledgeable, and organized. However, I am frustrated my reservation was changed the day before a difficult move. I had to drive an extra 8 miles to pick up the truck from a different location, several hours after my original reservation was scheduled for. This made my moving day even more stressful. Additionally, I had to drive to a second location to pick up the trailer. When I spoke with Uhaul customer service about this, I felt the employee was somewhat rude. When gas is nearly $5 per gallon in CA, driving the extra miles adds up, not to mention being behind schedule be several hours.

Charged for fuel when I was given the truck with 30 miles on my 40 mile trip. Not to mention I filled it back to 38 (more than what was given). Also got called 3 times to get asked when I was taking the truck back when I returned it during after hours 40 mins early

I was impressed with the store worker at the uhaul location in Clovis, Ca . He was pleasant and did his job well. At first I was unhappy with the notification that my 26ft truck was upgraded to a 26' ft due to a non returned truck. There we're no other trucks available due to the holiday weekend so I had no choice. We were happy to see it was a brand new truck, big as heck but just beautiful. Smooth and comfortable ride. Thank you Uhaul. You get an A++++++++++++ from me.

We had problems with the reservation. I initially thought they were being extra accommodating by letting us pick up the truck the evening before, but then they reserved the truck for someone else before our reservation time was set to expire. We ended up needing to rent a 26” truck instead of a 15” truck so that we could move during our originally scheduled time. I also asked for a dolly and was told one would be placed in the truck for us. After getting to our location (30 minutes away), we realized there was no dolly. After calling the office to explain the problem they were unwilling to have a dolly sent to us at our location and because of our time availability were unable to drive back to get it. This caused additional stress and time for our move which was not appropriated.

I was sent an original email that I was to drop off the trailer at the box store but when arrived was told I was at the wrong place and sent to another location. The other location was closed. I called your 800 number for help and was transferred to a very delightful and helpful woman who I asked if she could change my drop off to the box store and she did saving the day!

I was not given a contract to have in my possession. Which meant I had no Legal way to prove that I was not driving a stolen truck. First time in my life that I have rented anything that I was not given a Contract. I will not ever do that again. I took my chances this time because I didn't want to get in an argument.

I will be calling to make a complaint. 1) you can't see the contract before you sign it 2) the truck was on 3/4 tank of gas NOT FULL I was told to return it with that much gas

The mobile check-in process needs to be streamlined a bit. It took me just as long to check myself in as it does when I use the counter. The intent of any mobile check in/out should be to streamline and expedite the process. It took over 5 minutes once completed to receive approval through the verification process and I think if I had not sent a note, it would have taken longer. Al-in-all it was a good experience, just a long one.
