Provide appropriate internet connection. Provide a well lite parking area and key return Provide better instructions as to what to expect when having to pick up a truck at that specific location. Let customer know they HAVE TO download the app and make an account to rent a truck. Let the customer know they will be taking pictures and up loading them on the app. To allow EXTRA TIME to deal with all this with poor internet service… if you have people waiting for your arrival. Tell the customer in the email they receive, that they cannot not do all this on their phone until THEY ARE AT THE EXACT location due to GPS needed for transaction. I would have allowed extra time. This process took 50 minutes!!! I’m glad I had a male with me, it was a sketchy location and I was frustrated. Time is money. The drop off was a bit easier as I knew what to expect but I was alone and it was getting dark in this secluded and sketchy location. I won’t go back to this location nor will I recommend it to friends.

The truck was a little rough around the edges. Windshield was bug spattered, interior wasn't nasty, but wasn't clean. This location was about twenty miles from a very convenient location to me where I had requested to pick up when I made my online reservation.

I reserved a truck 3/4/2022, completed the online check in the weekend before picking up the truck, and the day before my reservation (5/30/2022), I rec'd a call saying I have to go to a dif location across town to pick up the truck, but I was guaranteed the truck will be there. No one told me it was going to be in the shady part of the city where it was a convenient store. No one explained to me it was a 3rd party. I was very disappointed I arrived on time for my reservation, had to wait ~45 min until they told me where to pick up my truck. My parents and I did not feel safe w/ the ppl in the store. I was furious I had to drive >1 hr to the country to pick up the truck @ another 3rd party dispatch where there was no one to help me. When I finally examined the truck, I was frustrated there was not equipment inside. I had to call the company again saying my reservation included a dolly and packing pads/cloths, but they weren't in the truck. They told me to go back into the city across town again. I asked for the equipment fee to be waived, and no one was able to do it. I am really upset I was 4 hrs behind schedule and had to pay an extra fee to my landlord b/c I didn't move out of my apt @ the scheduled time.

Can't rate the business itself as it was closed. I suppose it would have been much easier if I could have gotten the truck when the place was open.

RANDALLLYNN LACHAUSSEWhen I dropped the truck off, I knew I was .3 tenths of a mile over on the contracted 303 miles, I returned the truck with a greater amount of fuel than when I picked it up. I was amazed to see that I had been charged .12 cents plus tax for a total charge of .13 cents, I understand rules are rules and contracts are binding, I however found this to be a BIT PETTY on U- Hauls part. I have nothing but praise for the owner of the location and have no problems with him, just not happy with U-Haul!!

Kyle WoodburnThe Gowanda, NY location had excellent service and was clean as well as inviting. However, the experience I had with truck and auto transport rental online was terrible! The equipment I reserved was not available at the time or date I originally reserved it for, although the system said it would be. I was notified by U-Haul ( by text ) THE DAY BEFORE MY MOVE that my equipment reservation would not be honored as promised. It took MANY phone calls to U-Haul until I finally got to a person who straightened it out and was able to find a truck for me at the Gowanda location. But the truck available there was smaller than the one I reserved, and the auto trailer would be available only at a different U-Haul location 30 miles away. Fortunately, someone cancelled a reservation at the Gowanda facility right before I arrived there and I was able to rent the larger truck I originally had reserved. Since I had hired a separate moving company to load the truck for me, this incident caused much stress and many potential problems. I will most likely not use U-Haul in the future as a result. Several employees I spoke with were unsympathetic at best and surly at worst. Very disappointing.

The Gowanda location is the most convenient as it is in a rural area; however, Uhaul never gets the reservations right and doesn't even bother to inform that the pickup location was changed. I doubt I'll be using Uhaul again. If I'm expected to drive to an alternate location, I might as well use a different service in that location. If it wasn't for the owner of the Gowanda location going out of his way to help me, I would have been out of luck. I will never recommend Uhaul online reservations.

Leo WilsonThe service was great at the location. But I was not satisfied that I live in buffalo by and they wanted me to go to Gowanda my to pick up the truck and Dunkirk by to pick up the trailer. The hours of operation on the date of pick up was 9am-noon. Thank goodness the gentleman at the Gowanda location brought the trailer to his location. I would not recommend uhaul at this time due to the set up for pick up. That was inconsiderate to schedule 2 places and so far out
