Susan GMaybe just make a quick look in the vehicles prior to renting to someone else. My rental wasn’t as clean as I thought it would be. There was something like grass clippings all over the passenger seat. Maybe it was overlooked idk?
James THandley’s is a respected institution in our community on Maui. Superior customer service, family values and integrity are the hallmarks of Handley ‘s reputation. My rental experience was no exception. I was greeted with courtesy and professionalism, and quickly signed a contract for a two-day rental of a new pick up truck. The truck was clean and in perfect order. When I reported that the truck was difficult to move from between two other trucks on the street, the agent at the desk left the office and personally took care of the situation, moving one of the trucks so that I could the rental and be on my way. I returned the truck and received the same respect and customer service. I highly recommend Handley’s if you want outstanding customer service when renting a U-Haul vehicle on Maui.

Janice PHandleys is an excellent and honest location and i have used it on many occasions for myself and clients i work for. Also lipoa self storage and uhaul is also top notch. However on 1/06/23 i rented a 10 ft truck from kahului uhaul ctr., After getting contract and keys i went to vehicle. Before leaving lit i notice gas was 1/8 lower than shown on paperwork. I went into office and agent said just fill gas to where it is now and drew a line on gas gauge graphic-no initials or anything. I went in van and went perhaps 1 mile down the road and noticed mileage was also way off. I pulled to side and yes, it showed 24 miles LESS than on pprwrk. I called the store and she told me they would correct it so i proceeded to do my work. Upon uhaul rtn i again went to desk with contract andwas told the discrepancies would be corrected. I called to check ystrdy 1/09 to see if it was corrected and they told me to come in and my clients credit card would be reimbursed for the error difference. I rented a uhaul today, 1/10/23 from handleys uhaul (no problems) and before departing kahului to go back to kihei, i stopped in at the kahului uhaul ctr. They refused to acknowledge the error, their words to me in person and on phone and said did i take pictures? I.told them where are your pictures when you check in van? I didnt.at start but had one of the dash when i rtnd it. They said they dont take.pictures, its mine- the customers responsibility. Thats bullshit and so is their word and responsibility and integrity. So noe my client has to pay for 1/8 more gas (3gals @$5.00+ per gal in hawaii anf 24.miles (x1.79 per.mile) cuz they are dishonest ripoffs and liars. I will NEVER go to kahului ctr.uhaul again. Keep your thiefing.profits!

SID KWindshield was dirty and no fluid for auto wipe. We just used our bottled water to clean it. Minor issue. Staff very friendly and easy to work with. Handley’s is my go to for Uhaul Rentals in Maui.

I WThis vehicle was DISGUSTING! We did not put gas because we did not find it justifiable. We had to clean the vehicle with Clorox wipes. Especially during this time, this should be considered. My team was to notify them when they dropped off but noone was there.
