The equipment was clean but I got switched from a van to a 10'...ok, no problem but as soon as I started it up there was a low tire alert and when I got out to look the left front was really low. The attendant told me the computer needed to be reset but it was clearly really low and I had to stop to get air. I was a little worried that she was willing to send me out with a potentially dangerous tire. Otherwise the rental served its purpose and I will use Haps again..

The employee on duty had never rented a tow dolly before & knew nothing - I ( a 65 yr old female) & a female friend who went with me had to pick up and pull the dolly to my RV, make sure all was hooked up. No adapters were available to connect power from RV to dolly for lights. Most importantly, the dolly was not in proper working order - the ramps did not stay latched in place for the hour drive from my home that was the closest facility with a tow dolly. I had to pull over (driving a 35 foot RV makes that a challenging task) 5 times to put ramps back in place & supposedly secured- the 5th time finally finding a bungee cord to keep the ramps from sliding out and down to drag on the road. Even after loading my car onto the dolly & using rope to secure the ramps, one rope lasted 2/3s of the trip and that ramp was extending while I was driving on the highway in El Paso Texas. Another driver alerted me & followed me off the road & extend his help & my zip ties to again fix the problem. Why did I not take dolly back for another - well it was the only one in a 50 mile radius of Sacramento Calif to be had & The time already expended delayed my trip departure 36 hours. I did report the issue where I turned the dolly in where I was assured it would be repaired before anaother use.

The truck I rented REEKED of smoke. I tried to air it out and sprayed it with Febreeze with no luck. I had to drive it with the windows open the whole way to keep from gagging. It's not often possible to check the equipment until the time you pick it up. This trip was very unpleasant. This location is my only option, but for another time, I would look around for other possibilities.

This location was very convenient for me. I actually visited this location a couple of weeks before I left for Georgia. The location was not able to provide the equipment for my outgoing trip, but was very convenient for the drop off of the trailer. The Staff here are very professional, and greatly assisted with the completion of the drop-off. I highly recommend this location to everyone in the Rio Vista area !

Terrible experience. Windshield got cracked after the location I ordered in Vacaville sent me 40 miles away to this location which in turn canceled my order due to being late. Then I had to call 5 different times over two days to get the extension for two days since no one could tell me they would extend me. Then upon returning the one way trailer there was a neighborhood dealer half a mile away that I stopped to return the trailer and they instructed that I had to drive 45 minutes to the drop off point just to get to it and then say I could have dropped it at any location. Absolutely the last time ever using U-Haul I will tell everyone I know never to use U-Haul and I would rather buy a trailer then ever have to use you again.

DONT GO. AVOID AT ALL COST. WORST uhaul EVER !! There is a strong stench of urine as soon as you enter, and It's filthy inside. The customer service is beyond terrible. The counter person was unkept and rude. I was misquoted the mileage rate, which I wrote down. The mileage rate tripled when returned. I picked up the rental with 1/4 tank of gas, and apon returning the truck I was told I left with a full tank. When confronted with the unprofessionalism, and misquoting/price gouging , the rudeness continued. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. AVOID AT ALL COST AND TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW.

It was very disappointing that i was not able to pay online for both locations since uhaul was not able to accommodate the truck and trailer in the same location. Also, the truck was not fueled up which led to further delays. The uhaul website indicates that the trucks are to be returned with a full tank of gas so we were not anticipating that.

Picking up the truck was extremely inconvenient. I was forced to drive 45 minutes in the opposite direction of where I was going and I made my reservation 26 days in advance to avoid a situation like this! I will definitely consider using another company for my next rental. Also, there were some snails inside the cargo area which I did not notice until I started loading up the truck.

When I tried to call the 1-800 # for customer service to change my rental, I was kept on hold for long periods of time twice and gave up both times. I believe this led to higher fees and a further drive to drop off.

Woman who checked us in was VERY BUSY, but treated us like we were her only important customers. She's (rightfully!) proud of her multi-generational Rio Vista roots, and although we are newcomers, she welcomed us with open arms! My son and I fish occasionally, and next time we'll come to Hap's Bait for that need too! And though we don't plan on moving anytime soon, we will highly recommend Hap's to our friends and neighbors!

I reserved a van on February 22 for March 1st @ 9AM. I arrived at 8:30 AM on March 1st and was told it was rented on February 28th and would not be back until 4 PM on March 1st. I wish to receive some compensation for my inconvenience. All staff should go through some retraining on how to follow proper scheduling of available equipment.

I have rented Trucks here 3 times and 2 of 3 times their WIFI has been down so they were not able to complete the transaction and had to call Uhaul headquarters to do it for them. Maybe they need a better WIFI system.

I reserved a car dolly about 4 weeks before I needed it to be picked up near my home. Uhaul calls me the night before and tells me I must travel 45 minutes to a distant bait shop to pick it up on moving day. They tell me this is their policy for one way rentals. I feel like they consider me a second rate customer.

The location is fine and the staff person was nice. My issue is I reserved two months in advance for a pick up in my city of Vacaville and the day before was informed I have to pick up in Rio Vista which is a 30 minute drive. Very poor service for a reservation made way in advance.

The computer online U-Haul reservations and transaction system at this location is woefully slow and often down. It took over 30 minutes to pick up the vehicle after having made the reservation by phone.

The Monte Vista blvd., vacaville location, however, called me at 0800 the morning of my 0930 pick-up, to tell me that the truck I HAD RESERVED would not be there until 6pm!!!!!!!!!!!!! They provided no acceptable alternatives. Hap's bailed us out with a smaller truck, then you hammer us with mileage charges, b/c now I'm using a 15' truck instead of a 26' truck, so we had to make an extra trip.

charge the customer what they were quoted and have an amount available for the business to estimate in case of plan change. They did not have some prices to quote me after rental before returning to original or other locations. the charges were very confusing.
