That truck was terrifying. The steering was so messed up I couldn't go above 45. I've never driven a vehicle in such bad condition. Never again using uhaul.
BRADEN MIt was hard to communicate with the initial rental process. I had to keep calling to confirm the changes I made. I had originally ordered a 15ft and it was not fueled so I filled it up but it was too small. U-Haul was unable to transfer the funds paid for the 15ft to the 26ft so I had to make another payment and wait for the refund. The day of my pickup the auto transport was not available the facility was unaware that their auto transport had been stolen so I had to go to a different location. That cost me time and money.

Timothy JExcellent people checking me in and hooking me up to my truck with concise instructions and guidance in positioning my truck hitch to the trailer. The man checking me in was just as nice and helpful with the trailer, and I felt like using the same location in the future based on his personable attitude and form handshake. He also also did a good job in showing me how to get my receipt using the links in the email.

Melinda GThis location is the second location we went to that day. This location was fantastic, the woman working the front desk was very friendly. The location off noland/70 in Independence has terrible customer service, will NEVER go back to that location. What is the point of making a reservation if they can’t guarantee they will save you a truck at that time? Nor did they care that a vehicle wasn’t available for me. If it wasn’t for this location that I don’t believe is even fully a Uhaul building, then I would not recommend the company ever.

Burke WThe instructions should be more detailed in regards to getting the key out of the lock box. Also, it should be instructed that the pick up time is sensitive. Meaning, if arriving late, you will need to call uhaul to rearrange the time.
Devan PThe interior was free of debris, and needed a wipe down. Also someone smoked in the U-Haul and left their ashes in the ashtray. It didn't smell like smoke, which is good.

I can't say enough about her. This was, however, a very poor experience, through no fault of U-Haul other than the fact that they had recommended this con artist.

Devante SComputer system was down. Tried to pay with my credit card but it "wasn't working" so I had to go to an ATM and pay with cash, only to find out that even though I paid cash, my card was charged twice! I was there for an hour and a half!

rachaquilyn tMake sure you have all the equipment that was reserved. They did not have my two furniture dollies, which was a major inconvenience. They did not seem too worried about it either, was more like "oh well, you're just out of luck unless you want to drive 20 miles to another store and see if they have them, they might or might not."

Justin BThey had a dog chained up to the back fence in the cold. It was snowing and this poor dog was just left there I asked them why and they blamed it on some Tenant. It was very disturbing
laura fWas given truck with 1/3 tank of gas after I had to wait 20 minutes after my original pick up time..was told they would take miles off on return of truck they took 2 miles l off... I was charged for giving them back a truck with more gas... and was punished for giving them a truck better then I found it.. I was also accused of misplaying equipment even though it was all accounted for.. would not recommend awful customer service I will never rent a U-Haul ever again nor recommend it to anyone especially from this location. Was added stress on an already stressful day that was not needed nor wanted.

Warren SYour people renting your trailer wired up lights that only worked on my driver's side. Insisting it was fine when I questioned it. Then what they wired just fell apart in the road. My vehicle in turn quit running, lost all charge while driving twice. The third time it did not start again. I had no issues until they wired the U-Haul trailer t to my truck. I contacted them at which I knew that I wouldn't be able to return the trailer on time. They decided to not come after the trailer until the next day around 11am. My truck then was jumped and started and ran after the U-Haul trailer wires were disconnected from my truck. I gave no authorization for any more charges to my card. Yet they too it upon themselves to fraudulently charge my card almost $18 more. I live on disability and am not happy with a company that charges my card without my permission or knowledge when I'm quite sure it was due to their negligence on wiring and telling me to take the trailer with lights improperly working. I'm not even sure this was legal. So I never even was able to use the trailer for the intended use in the first place. Everything done was in my opinion underhanded and laziness on the company you allow to rent out your U-Hauls. I will be having my vehicle checked as well as contacting the BBB and advocates for the disabled. As well as checking to see if it's illegal or just poor ethics to allow a customer to leave with a trailer with poor or improper working lights. I would hope you can get this issue resolved with me by returning all my money along with an apology. Thank you Jennifer Sperry. 913-731-9190
