1. No one wore masks. 2. They did not have the amount of furniture pads we requested 3. We had to go back and get the furniture pads they DID have because they did not leave them in the truck and did not give them to us before we left. 4. Truck was across the road AND had heavy trailers in front of it we had to move on our OWN. 5. Despite all of this, they had the guts to charge us the $25 cleaning fee...no other location has every charged us. Fuel was on 3/4, they claim it was less and charged us.

Make sure that the light in the back of the truck works. Make sure that what a customer has ordered is available when truck is picked up.

They didn't have the truck I️ reserved, so they told me they would give me another one at the same price but it ended up being more than $100 dollars more. She also told me I️ had 24 hours on the rental but when I️ brought It back, U-Haul charged me for two days. I️ checked The box that states that I️ didnt Agree but nobody has contacted me. Overall very unsatisfied with U-Haul.

The rental was not ready for a 24/7 pickup as promised at time of booking. Truck ramp was very difficult to pull out and to put back in. After filling the gas to the same level as it was at at time of rental, I was billed for fuel that was not needed as it was filled to the level it was at time of pickup.

I made reservation for pickup Ithaca NY. Day before got a call saying pickup location was changed to Cortland NY. 1hour plus round trip. Had to change appointments around drive time. Was not happy since I received a confirmation that pickup location was confirmed for Ithaca. Trailer also had broken corner where was dented on left front. Could see daylight through. Had to duct tape up to keep water out.

Truck was dirty when I got into it, truck wasn't even on the lot when I got there to pick it up, the mileage on the truck was wrong on my paperwork then what it said in the truck, when I left with the truck there was 5/8 of gas in it, when I dropped it off there was 3/4 of gas in it and the truck was cleaned inside and out so the truck was cleaner when I was done using it than it was when I picked it up.... I will never rent a Uhaul truck from there ever again and I don't think I will ever rent a Uhaul truck period

This is not a comment regarding Hartley's, but UHaul themselves. I was told by the UHaul representative who called to confirm the reservation that I could pick it up anytime before my 11am reservation. I arrived at 9:30 to be told that I could not pick it up until my reserved time. It is beyond aggravating to be told one thing and make plans based on it and then have to rearrange your whole day, especially with the stress of moving.

This location overcharge me for cleaning but was not able to provide any proof of the dirt they claimed was on (or inside) the car. I have waited an hour and yet they couldn't provide me with any proof the vehicle was dirty.

I reserved a hand truck for the move. When I checked out I was told only large utility hand truck could be rented for a remote return. If I had known that I could have made other plans. This is a flaw in reservation app. Otherwise everything went smootly

I had a very difficult experience with the U-Haul app needed to pick up the truck at this location. It crashed several times. After returning to the location 6 hours later I was eventually able to pick up the truck after hours but missed my appointment in another city. The wait time to customer service is too long and the ads while you wait are too chatty and annoying. The experience was very frustrating. I was compensated by customer service for the inconvenience.

Deal with customers on a first come, first serve basis. Waited for guy to finish talking on the phone to express I had dropped off a trailer, the phone rang and instead of putting them on hold he started a conversation with them.

I rented a truck to move a sectional i purchased, Please explain to me how a $19.99 rental comes out to $51.75 ?!?!?! This is unacceptable. ALSO it had a half tank of gas and i returned it with 3/4 tank. I feel robbed. Not a happy customer.

The Uhaul app scheduled my 15' truck to be picked up when it had not been returned yet. If it hadn't been for the ladies at the counter I would not have had a truck. They got me moving. Someone needs to check the app.

Staff member was given a mask and refused to wear it. Truck had bald tires which prevented me in an empty truck to reverse it up a small incline to load it

we were unable to use the app to get the key after hours and the uhaul people at the phone number kept trying the same thing with the same results, no access to the lockbox. finally we found a number on the building and that person was able after a bit to get us the code for the box, after getting all the info on me and mine back to the stone age. I was not made aware of the 15 min time limit for the check in and I guess with the Verizon phones and service we have it didn't work in this remote location(polkville not Cortland) the truck was fine except for the poor gas mileage(10 mpg). If i'm reading the receipt right there has been no charge for all the hassle but i'll wait and see what turns up on my credit card. lastly I would hope that the next after hour pick up that doesn't have use of the app will have some sort of access to the codes needed for the key and not waste 1:10 min with no results

I was quoted a price of 119$ total. With a one way trip. I also was told. That I had unlimited mileage. I was charged 57$ for milage. Not fair at all. Will never use Uhaul again. I will be reporting this location.

Location did not care they did not leave key in drop box like requested when made and had reservation confirmed. Marissa at Hartley didn't even seem to care they wasted my time or wasted my movers time. Also the size the truck requested is never fulfilled. Always get bigger but don't bigger cause can't get in drive way at house with a 26 foot truck. This terrible process will definitely affect my decision before booking with uhaul again!

Before dropping off truck I put in fuel it was at three quarter tank before I put fuel in when I put the fuel in gage dis not move I explained this to the receptionist when I drop truck off she said i was fine to me that saying I wouldn't be charge for fuel wasn't the case I get call from someone else says the charge me and I still owe 12.00 dollars in not happy with service I should be reimbursed for full charge this is not good customer service
