Virtual pick up was a disaster. Uploaded my license prior to pick up but never got the video to watch or the instructions for person less pick up. Took 45 minutes to get the truck with phone help. It was very frustrating.Steven R.

I locked my car keys in the truck...a super DUH moment for me. We were stranded there...but was "rescued" by the Storage people who came to unlock the office so we could retrieve my keys. Now that's service!Stephen B.
I have used uhaul several times over the years with no issues but I was very disappointed with my experience this time. I first booked a 10ft truck to pick up in Hanover PA that was showing as available. After booking the app showed my pickup location as Harrisburg PA (50 miles north). Shortly after I received a call from a customer rep telling me that the truck I wanted was not available at the location in Hanover. The rep offered for me to Pick up the truck in York Pa (25 miles the wrong direction from where I was going). Eventually the rep told me there were no trucks in the town I was looking to pick up at and we finally settled on the next size up truck 1 town over (10 miles out of my way). I mention the miles out of the way because you charge me by the mile. I completed the online check that was supposed to save me time but when I arrived at the site they required me to go through everything again taking almost 30 minutes. They then informed me that my truck had less than 1/16 gallon of gas. It was so low on fuel that the low fuel warning was on covering up the odometer so that I could not verify the miles on the truck (I have a picture to verify this if you need). In addition to this the cab of the truck was full of trash that I had to clean out so I wouldn't be charged a clean up fee (I have pictures of this as well). After stopping to get gas since I didn't have enough to make it to my destination combined with the extended Check in I was now an hour behind schedule.Jeremy S.

Fix EVERYTHING. The entire app and online stuff is completely broken. I tried to pick up my vehicle and it didn't let me i had to call over 5 different uhaul people just to figure things out. Then i was told i could not get the uhaul because of my juniors drivers license even though i am 18 years old and after 6 months of having my license it is no longer a junior license. I should have not been allowed to reserve a vehicle if that was to happen. Also got told by a uhaul customer service lady that i was allowed to take the van because she understood the confusion so i did. Got called 5 minutes later that i was stealing the van when i set up the reservation and was told i could have it. They charged me for the 5 minutes of driving i did, then charged me for my actual time using the van which wasn't until 3 hours after my original pickup time!!! Then when i returned my vehicle the app went through all steps with me and failed to tell me to take a picture of anything and completely go through the entire returning process. I tried to call and explain that, but after being on hold for 15 minutes the lady basically told me i was wrong and that i dont know what I'm doing. What happened to the customer is always right? As i see it don't do 24 hour pick up if you can't have working apps and online stuff. Hire real people. Terrible customer service that clearly does not care about the customer.Nathan M.

I did a U-Box from Harrisburg PA to Hanover, PA to Lakeside Colorado. It was very good experience. Overall it was an excelent experience. The colorado side could not deliver right away but was able to deliver before I got charged for another month for a U-Box. The U-Box helpline is very VERY helpful. Instead had to go 15 miles round trip & pay the extra mileage fee - is not fair! Also was texted about the info when I clearly stated it was a landline- no texting accepted! I was supposed to check in on line but the system would only upload the back of my license, not the front, so I never got past that screen. When they fixed that for me, it then told me that it couldn't verify my location, but my location setting was on. So.... needless to say, the online part was frustrating. The roundtrip that I used the Uhaul for was 25 miles in the uhaul, For some reason in my personal vehicle it is only 21 miles! Used 3 gallons of gas to do the 2 round trips that means it gets almost 17 mpg! No way possible!Lawrence H.

None of the interior damages to the equipment was marked and several scuffs that were similar to marked damages were unmarked as well. There was a lot to report and checking out the van took more than an hour (self-check/on hold with customer service). Still, the process would be easy enough once the bugs get ironed out and the van ran well. It was exactly what we needed, when and how we needed it. Thanks!Robert B.
