Kevin BartonMy overall experience today with UHaul all together has been very poor. With me making a reservation, getting to the location of pickup for them to be closed, then told to do the mobile checkin for it to not be a valid way to get the truck. Then sent to another location 15 miles further to get a truck. Got the truck and it wasn’t in good working condition that needed maintenance very badly, so I returned it. Today U haul failed me when I needed it most because I was supposed to move furniture of my deceased mother in law to her daughters houses in Ga from SC.

Scott GardinerCustomer Service was horrible . The rep wa not personable or friendly !!!!!! I had to wait at least 45min because the rep could not locate my reservation. He was in and out of his convenience store with customers waiting in line for at least 20+ minutes . He did not communicate that he was handle other customers concerns . He literally just walked past the customers . When I returned the u-Haul he tried to overcharge me on my mileage until I added it up with him . I Do not recommend this location !!!
Jessica Hallmon-TylerAfter completing checking in the vehicle, the staff tried to keep me at the location longer. They were trying to over charge me for extra things that I didn't need or do. They were talking over me and very rude and disrespectful. I finally just left and the owner followed me out saying that I will be billed more, even after the check in was complete along with my card being already charged.

When I returned the vehicle and checked out, she changed the insurance without my knowing or authorization of the next one up which was $28. I tried to call and received no answer, I send an email to the email address on the invoice and received no response.

Brittney SmallsBusy gas station location. Had issues getting checked in due to one poor guy running two counters. Didn’t provide me with moving supplies that that I reserved and was charged for. (These just shouldn’t be an option for online reservation for non-uhaul exclusive locations).
Joshua DumaisYour survey sucks. The need to call U-Haul instead of local dealers suck. Having a confirmed rental changed to a location much farther away sucked. Having to rent a truck one way to be able to have a truck two days to move sucked. Taking hours and numerous calls to U_Haul sucked I have worked for U-Haul dealers, wrote contracts, repaired U-haul equipment and had contracts for road service from U-Haul plus rented your equipment for over 40 years and your company has always been a pain in the ass to get paid and service but you always took care of the customer which made me recommend you and Ryder because of the rental companies you two took care of the customer no matter what. Now it seems that central control of all facets of the business along with the the choice given to customers to take what you can get, where we tell you and it's not our problem for the extra time, gas and mileage.

Ametria KiddThe worker acted as if they knew nothing about my reservation. I tried to give my reservation number but they didn't want it. Finally they found it under my name. Then they continually asked if I wanted insurance, any blankets, needed a dolly,etc which I had reserved and checked when I made my reservation. It was sooooo frustrating since I was on a time schedule.
JAMESA WAYThis was a horrible experience. The lady behind the counter told us that we had to handle on line, then she proceeded to have us re-enter all the details into her computer typing with 1 finger and speaking in some combination of Punjabi and southern English. Every 3 minutes she stepped aside and handled customers buying lottery tickets. Each ticket was being scanned into a different computer and a different cash register. She forgot to enter our trailer and this meant we had to re-enter our information and scan our credit card again. Finally after more lottery ticket interruptions we got our keys, but had no idea which truck it belonged to, so I had to try every truck until the key fit. We now had the truck and we attached the trailer, loaded our car on the trailer and we were on our way. A stressful 45 minutes and 75 lottery tickets later! When we stopped for fuel we realized that we had no trailer lights, because the lottery queen had failed to provide the adapter we needed, so we had to drive 235 miles without lights. Otherwise a wonderful experience.

Jessica DarnellRepresentative had no clue on how to use the computer system and made several phone calls to try and figure it out only to still have no clue. Tried to charge me double the price I had been quoted but didn’t due to not being able to figure out how to check out the trailer I rented. Representative finally gave up printed out some papers said sign here and just take the trailer. I returned 24 hrs later as agreed in my contract that I made online only to be accused of stealing the trailer by the employee working that day. He stated they arrived at work to find it missing and had reported it stolen to police. When asked for my paperwork I explained the previous days employee never gave me and and just had me sign some other papers. Apparently she threw them away or something but never communicated to management a rental had left the property. After 45 min of figuring things out I finally got to leave. This place has no clue on how to deal with u haul equipment. Someone needs some training on how to run the system as well as a communication class.

The representative did not say much afterwards or walk with me to observe the truck, she just gave me the key. Her personality was dull and she offered no assistance. I was the only customer.

Breanna VottaBlankets were not folded when I received yet I was charged 1$ each to fold plus tax when returned. Does not state anywhere on contract. Also I had to physically move other trailers to get to the 1 I was allowed to take. Upon inspection, lugs were loose and no 4 way was available to tighten (had to use a pipe wrench to tighten) and limp 25 miles to a Wal mart to have torqued to be able to drive safely from South Carolina to Florida.

ELIZABETH MYERSThe people processing the paperwork for the Uhaul rental should focus on Learning customer service. I was the first customer of the day. The door was unlocked for me. I was the being checked out by the clerk and owe wait, let me help the other customers in the other line. Mean while, it took 30 minute to check me out when I originally scheduled a remote pick up for 8:00. Uhaul messes up, and the Hutto Food Mart employees should undergo customer service training. Uhaul should not offer trucks and equipment at locations that do not have the equipment to be rented. I originally rented a truck at a different location closer to where we were moving. Two days before the move, Uhaul corporate called to say they didn’t have a truck at that location for me. I had to reschedule and rearrange my plans with my movers and had to go out of my way for Uhaul’s mistake. They added mileage to cover it but messed up the Mobil remote pick up and put me behind schedule. Your messing with the customers plans and time. There is a lot Uhaul needs to work on as a franchise. I’m disappointed in this rental experience all around.

Laquan WrightTruck was dirty, had melted chocolate or something all on passenger side dash, floor were dirty with what looked like dry mud, it had a bad odor in the truck. The lady doing the reservation did not listen, charged me for smart ride when I told her no I didn't want it. I was on speakerphone with a uhaul agent who told the lady in the store to extend my rental until Monday at no charge, she did not listen and charged me for the extra day. It has been a nightmare trying to fix all the mistakes made and now I have to wait to get refunded what should never have been charged. I would NEVER recommend that location.

I was late on retrieving the items I need to carry in your equipment incurring extra cost for the delay. With that being said, I deserve and am requesting a partial, if not full refund for the inconvenience.

Jerome RigginsWhen I arrived at the location to get the trailer during my vacation, there were many things I didn't like. First off, they said that they didn't open til 1:30. It's was a gas station and I'm sure they were open way earlier that day. When I arrived, they had no internet so they had to use a hot spot to get the internet to work which was a slow process. It took about 30 minutes to pickup the trailer where it should have only been 5 minutes max. Wasn't very pleased to spend my vacation waiting that long to get a trailer

The owner of this business has one employee working, with only a minimal amount of knowledge of the rental system. This young lady was phenomenal. The store was packed at times. She took care of customers without showing ANY frustration. I commend Ms Benita for showing ALL customers respect and kindness. That was the best part of our experience.

Joseph ChassereauThe majority of my experience was okay. I was told the local place would have my uhaul ready for a 5pm pick up. Called the location, called uhaul customer service to confirm and was advised everything was set up for 5. Around 4 o clock I get a call saying that wasnt the case and infact the closest place who had my equipment was another 35 miles up the road. So round trip cost me 70$ extra in mileage, at no fault of my own. The people at the new location were nice. But I after about 500 dollars for just 4 days, I dont believe I will be using Uhaul again.
Steven Curles1. We were given one original uhaul location, that was only 5 mins from our previous address, during the original order. The day before pickup I was called and informed that I had to pick up the truck from a location that was 45 min (one way) away from our previous address. 2. When we got there, the young lady, while very friendly, had never completed a uhaul transaction before (which she stated to us several times) and didn’t want to call for help. Instead she wanted to “teach herself” how to complete it. It took around 40 min for her to ring us up, print the paperwork, and allow us to leave with the truck. 5. After reviewing our documents, my email contract and the contract that the pickup site gave me had two different locations. I called both facilities over the course of the next two days, and unfortunately I was unable to get a rep on the phone at either location.
Antoinette PryorBased on my experience, I am sure that nobody is going to read this or address it in any way, here is my story. I wasted 11 days of phone calls until I sent this email to the CEO, who immediately got this taken care of. After he got it taken care of I received an invoice for double the amount quoted and he again said he will take care of it, which I am sure he will. My letter to him: I write this because I have hit 22 dead ends, wasted far too much time, and have no other place to turn. Unfortunately my sister died suddenly and I needed to have her cremated and move her personal belongings out of her apartment on Monday, July 9, 2018. I rented a trailer from your Peachtree City GA location on that date with the intent of driving to my parent’s home in SC and dropping the trailer back to Peachtree City a week later after her funeral. I was obviously not thinking properly and did not think to drop it off in SC. So when I figured that out later on Monday, I called my rental store to find out how to change that destination. Nobody answered. I left a message. No return call. I tried again every day until Thursday when I finally got someone to answer my call. They said I could return it to another store and there may be additional charges charged by the receiving store. So Friday, July 13, I tried to return it to Santee, SC but they were closed before 4 pm even though they were supposed to be open until 4:30 pm. The sign on the store said they would open Saturday at 9:00 a.m. so we returned then. We waited for 15 minutes and nobody showed up. So then we drove 15 minutes to another U-Haul location in Holly Hill, SC and returned the trailer there. The clerk, Benita, indicated there would be no additional charge for drop off and there will actually be a credit for dropping it off 2 days early. I asked for the receipt but unfortunately that location does not own a computer, much to my amazement. She did hand write and sign some form of a receipt with the trailer number I dropped off. I took photographs in front of the store so there was at least documentation that I dropped it off since they do not own a computer and could not provide me any documentation. I immediately called customer service to verify that was legitimate and they indicated yes and I would get a close out email confirmation of the transaction when they “check the trailer in”. Well, as I write this email 5 days later, the trailer has still not been checked in. Since then, I have called and spoken to 19 different people from customer service agents, to district and regional managers, the drop off store manager, the pick up store manager, equipment location specialist, and others. Nobody, and I truly mean nobody, knows anything about anything. The few helpful people who indicated that they will research this issue and call me back have never called me back. I wrote 3 emails to your customer service/reviews documenting these issues to try to close out my contract, but no

Robert AbbottInside of truck full of sand. I swept the inside of truck and cleaned upholstery, seats, steering wheel. Febreeze is not cleaning a truck. Pads were not ready and waiting in truck. Had to wait 30 minutes to get two dozen pads.Slow process while U-Haul person took care of customers of gas/convenience store, even though he sent someone else to get the pads.

We waited there 1 hour and 30 minutes just for the person to call someone else on the phone to walk them through it. He over charged us on the trailer and we agreed to come back the next day to get our money back that we were overcharged and they didn't give it back to us. This made us very Upset and we walked out.

JIM MACKThis was not a good experience at all compare to other Uhaul rentals. First of all the equipment was not at the location when I arrived and the rep did not think to give me a call to let me know. So I was there an hour later than my expected pick up time. Next, when I made the reservation I declined the tow protection. When I receive my bill extra $8 charge is on there. The rep at this location went in and added the coverage. I truly hope I NEVER have to use this place again!

JOE CONTRERASI was charged 2 rental fees. I was told the truck was mine for 24 hours and 39.99. I just checked my statement and I was charged 79.98 and wasn't given the credit for the extra miles needed to pick up the truck. Otherwise, it was ok.
Kevin BorghiThe cashier was running the store alone and told us that her internet was down and could not rent the equipment to us. She later told us the manager was on his way and would arrive in 30 minutes. 30 minutes later, she said he would be there in 20 minutes. 20 minutes later, she said 10-15, and he arrived in 30. One problem was that the individuals running the store were hard to understand. The young gentleman that finally came was very good. I would hope that we would not have to use this location again.
CIRO PICCIRILLOUhaul was part of a gas station, owner had slow Internet and was not able to get me processed. I had to process order through my phone online. Also on my way i fou d what i needed at ine price, but when i arrived, it came out to be a much higher price.

I would rather pay Penske little extra and not deal with the headache. I should not feel belittled or talked down to by Some customer support representative who just got out of High School.
