I was charged for an extra day of use... By Uhaul... And have yet to receive a refund... The cashier stated the Uhaul account was charging me... I was apparently 5mins late for drop off, though no one told me there was a specific drop off time... I stood in line for 15mins... So really, I was 10mins early.

The gentleman behind the counter wanted me to come back the following day because he had no idea what to do. I was headed out of town when I went there. He threw his hands in the air and said something in Arabic I believe. I told the man the unit was staying and I was leaving and asked where he wanted the unit parked. He then wanted to keep my paperwork. I parked the unit where he indicated and left. The whole time he had someone on his mobile phone on speaker having a continuing conversation.

Have a knowledgeable clerk that understands the check out process. 45 minute wait because she did not know how to do it and was all alone. Not her fault. I blame management. All of this after my reservation changed locations of pick up and time on the day of by cooperate.

My experience was terrible. The trailer hitch on the trailer was defective and unhitched on Interstate 95 at Florence ,SC. Your accident response line was unresponsive and had me on hold until I hung up from the excessive wait time. I managed to reattach the trailer and limped into Florence and was able to get directions to the closest U-Haul center at a Advanced Auto store. This was because I could not get this information from U-Haul. Your service center in Florence repaired the trailer and documented the incident. This was 200 miles from my start point where I picked up the trailer at Beaufort, NC. The next 550 mile was nerve racking because every overpass I went over with a bump I was afraid the trailer would come off again. Even though the trailer wasn't damaged the light connection on my truck was damaged and I later found my exhaust pipe was bent reducing the flow. I was informed at your service centers , after making a incident report, that I would be contacted by your main office to resolve damages y

I had requested pick up of the truck at a location closer to my home. When that was not possible, my final cost was much greater than I had planned because of the extra mileage to pick up and return the truck. The check out and check in process went fine....just not thrilled that the cost was twice what I had budgeted and planned on.

Employee seemed to be bothered with the rental, refused to give a contract saying printer doesn’t work, would not do an inspection of vehicle with me, fuel level reported in accurately by at least 1/8 of a tank, vehicle dirty, made noises when driving that made me question the mechanical status of the truck!

Waited an hour for my pickup. Then they couldn't find the keys. I was not printed a receipt, or contract to sign...ever. Told them I would be back to pick up truck after checking in. When I returned they had gave my truck to another person thinking I sent them. Waited yet another 45 minutes for them to clarify that she could give me another truck. They said they'd reissue a new contract stating the different truck number I was assigned. I received an email almost three hours later only after speaking with your customer service department. The whole experience was unprofessional and and the handling of the situation was quite frankly awful. Will never do business with the location EVER again!!!!

The fuel pumps were out of order and it would have been helpful to be informed of this before arriving to return. It was in a rural location and we had to drive a distance to refuel. But the manager of the facility couldn't have been any more helpful in directing us on where to refuel (this is a new location for us and we were unfamiliar with the area)

The U-Haul web site was hard to use. It tried to put back to the old Beaufort U-Haul location. I finally had to call the In and Out number and they made my reservation for the next morning. The truck was ready to go when we got there.

I rented the trailer at Truckers Toy Store three weeks prior to pick up day . The brain donors in reservations called at 6:45 am the morning before pick up day to inform me the p o s trailer was not available for pick up at TTS and I would have to drive 14 miles to pick up a dirty trailer with one tail light in-op and as it turns out , a leak in the left front top . When I tried to return the call at 6:47 am I was greeted by a damn recording informing me of the office hours ! Slick way of avoiding what they knew would be a displeased renter. If I had another way of moving my son to college I certainly would have cancelled the rental . I called back several times after during office hours and finally spoke with a totally useless " reservations manager " she assured me that "there is nothing that can be done " , basically " tough s#!t " Mr. I persisted and spoke with her manager and got the same run around . I was told that U Haul didn't have the manpower to provide a trailer at the location I requested . Would 4 weeks or 10 weeks have given these two losers enough time to do their job as RESERVATION MANAGEMENT and actually RESERVE a trailer ? I was offered a discount to drive the 28 mile round trip to pick up the trailer , only to encounter an understaffed convenient store clerk that had to wait on other customers while doing my paper work .So far he was the high point in this adventure in moving ! Because of the filthy interior of the trailer we decided to line the interior with a tarp ...... it was a blessing the trailer was filthy , the tarp seems to have prevented the contents from being ruined by the rain that flowed easily through the LEAKING top of the trailer . When dropping the trailer in Buies Creek I was told to examine the contents for damage by water and let them know what we found , the people are great , they should be offered the jobs of the RESERVATION MANAGEMENT team that I can only assume will be returned to their previous job as Democratic National Commitee flunkies .

The lady who helped was extremely nice and apologetic but not at all trained on the system. I had done everything online to "SAVE TIME" "QUICK CHECK OUT" per uhaul site information. It took almost an hour with no one else waiting. Ruined entire schedule laid out for help I had moving.

Truck was not at "preferred" location nor was I told that it wasn't so I spent extra time going to the wrong location. Once there we spent unnecessary time arguing the fact that my car could fit on the tow,per the website and the 1800 uhaul customer service. Then I was charged for furniture pads that the store (gas station) did not even carry. I was told I could go pick them up at any other location. This was not true and no other store even had any on hand at this point. I also reserved a appliance dolly and was once again told that this was not something that they (the gas station) carried, causing me to basically have to go once again to another store to find my own. This was by far the worst moving experiences we've ever had and we're military so we've had our fare share.

Make sure that the truck is actually at the location when requested. Also, don't make the customer drive two hours to pick up the truck. Don't make a customer spend their own gas money for the truck they had to drive 100 miles for along with their own vehicle. I've been using u-haul for years, and i am unsure if I can rely on u-haul for moving needs. it was very difficult for me financially to cover the extra gas, loss of work, and everything else involved.

This is primarily a busy gas station and personnel was not trained in truck rental return. She did her best with the situation however and apologized.
