Yvette MIt has 24 hour drop off so there were not any employees there. They also leave the gate open because of this. I wasnt sure where to park but what bothered me most was that the lock box didnt lock and with the gate open anybody could walk in and grab the keys and steal the truck. They need to fix the key drop box so it locks and maybe make it easy for customers to close the gate so it doesnt look so inviting to criminals.

Francisco MThe worst experience I ever had. All the units olds and lights no working. They give me a “upgrade” for the problem then charge me extra because of that. I returned the unit and no one give me any receipt then they call me two days after asking for a unit returned on time. No one told me about the road assistance but when I talked about the problem on the units they say “in your contract said that you need to call road assistance for that” I will never rent a U-Haul again. I will post this review on all posible platforms

Michelle BIt was a slight inconvenience that the earliest pick was only open for 9.00 am I’d prefer if I could pick the up the necessary equipment required earlier other than that I would use U haul again - had no trouble with the representative everything went 100% 10/10 on the communication and understanding of the lady whom I spoke with fast and simple instructions.
Fernando HThe location is a bit confusing, since you have to walk/drive into the location and look for your rental unit. But it's understandable, it is a truck shop. However, a bit more signage might help.

Rigoberto SUnfortunately, despite arranging our trailer rental weeks in advance, there was no trailer to be found any closer to San Luis Obispo than Avenal, 60 miles away. It did slow us down having to stay in this area to pick it up in the morning. We were so relieved to see three trailers there, we were called promptly at 9 by Uhaul rep, got the trailer hooked up 45 minutes later and were on our way.

She made sure I was taken care of all the way from Avenal, CA to home on Willamette Valley, Oregon. I couldn't answer if I'd recommend this place because of its location, but I was stranded and the help I got from Avenal Uhaul and the Citizens of Avenal was deeply appreciated. Thank you Avenal💜

Also, when I rented the u-haul I rented from 8-28-2021 to 8-30-2021 by 8:30 am but I was called that it was suppose to be returned for 8-29-2021. I have a picture to prove mine is correct and someone entered it wrong. Look in to that.

Carolina VThere was no one there. I almost drove all the way back home (different city) without a trailer. Luckily there was one person living there way in the back that saw me after 20 minutes and made a call to the right person. We did the transaction over the phone. The trailer lights were broken and they didnt have, nor was there anyone one there to repair the trailer wires. My friend and I spend our own money to buy the wires and repair the Uhaul trailer so we could use it. Returned it the same night.
Brian RExperience was perfect equipment was in good condition drove great, the only problem we had was when checking rental before leaving mileage was 86390 online but the rental had 87535 on the dash told a uhaul employee about it he took a picture and said he would make note of it. So ending mileage on rental was 87704 drove 169 miles. Only way I could get it to go through for drop off at location was adding 169 to the 86390 it had online
