There was absolutely nothing wrong with this pick up location when we got there. However, our pickup location was changed without our knowledge. We never received a notification and never received a call the night before to verify our pick up and drop off locations. When we arrived at the pick up location we chose (up the street from our apartment) we discovered that not only had our pick up location been changed, but also the new pick up location was 30 minutes away. This review pertains to the Corporate UHAUL process.. While the pickup location and people there were fine, the overall UHAUL corporate experience totally missed the mark. 3 days prior to scheduled pickup I called UHAUL to move up the pickup day one day earlier. I was told it was no problem and truck would be ready. On my revised pickup day they didn't show a reservation for me. After numerous phone calls where I was transferred to 4 different cities I was told I would essentially have to drive 35 minutes away to another location, that included paying multiple tolls, even though the truck size I had requested was sitting in the lot I had reserved, but was reserved for someone else the next day. UHAUL initially refused to allow me to use that vehicle and deliver another vehicle for the other reservation. After 1 1/2 hours of multiple phone calls, placed on hold, including being hung up on, I finally got the truck in the lot. UHAUL customer service was the worst I've ever experienced, and I wasn't offered anything for the inconvenience. I had people who where standing by to load the truck for close to two hours. I have rented Penske on previous moves, and when they screwed up the owned up to their mistakes and offered a discount. UHAUL's entire corporate process is seriously screwed up, and unfortunately the local affiliates have to endure the customers being upset for something they have no control over.DUSTIN S.

It is located in a multi-business office. One of which is a bait shop. The smell is atrocious. When I arrived the dealer was closed, even though my appointment was ache in advance. I had to call the store for someone to come. When he arrived, he didn't have the keys. He had to leave to retrieve them which further delayed my move.TINA LOUISE P.

Actually have someone there when they are suppose to be. I waited an hour for someone to show up. I was told I had to be there by a certain time. Then someone finally told me to do the self check out. I didn't have to rush out there!!!!Cindy G.

Thankfully, a UHaul area manager happened to be on site and got us in a truck by 10. I will not rent from this location, even though is by far the closet to my house again.David S.
Didn't want to help with signing in. Didn't have moving blankets. I was moved to a different location and complained that we were going to use to many miles. This is the third time I have went to one of your franchise locations and it was horrible. It's a bait shop that literally smells like dead fish! The guy was rude and uncaring. They were sorting worms in the backroom in full view...horrible!!! I didn't get a dolly and blankets and he still charged me more than the original prepaid price. I couldn't leave without the truck so I paid the difference....what a crock!Dennis P.
The employee did not have a mask on. The employee did not do the normal walk around to inspect it. The truck was dirty on the inside. The front end shook vigorously at 40 mph. The employee said I could save money by returning it to clarksville eastern blv location just give them a call. Clarksville Eastern blv location employee said I could return it there I just needed to call 1-800-GOUHAUL to modify my drop off location. I called 1-800-GOUHAUL to do so and was told NO if I did that I could be charged $300-$500 for wrongful drop off and be charge 1 way rates. I've used U-Haul before with no problems at all but this time was horrible.Danny G.

I scheduled a pickup at a location convenient for me. I was notified 1 hr before pickup that my reservation was moved to the next â€œnearestâ€ location since my rental wouldn't be back in time for my scheduled rental. However the the new rental location was out of my way and not convenient for me. I wish I would have been contact before hand to determine if the new rental pickup would work for me as I was the paying customer.Jerrett L.

This location was great and quick. My experience with U-Haul scheduling is the opposite. The website made a reservation with a location that was not renting the week I had scheduled. I found this out the morning I went to pick up my equipment and the corporate help line was slow to help me rectify this issue. The only positive experience I had that day was with J Sawyers wholesale, as they were quick and efficient with check in.Francis D.

I had reservation for uhaul when I got to eastern Blvd clarksville, the girl said my confirmation number was no good and gave my 15 ft to someone else. I was very pissed. No truck stuff from storage sitting out waiting, so the girl said I will call charlestown. I got a 10ft truck which I made several trips, I was 20 minutes late returning truck cause I drove all the way back to new albany and back I still have not received any monies back so I'm not a happy customer my truck was 19.99 I gave 88 plus put gas over amt. The tire rear passenger tire was low prior to leaving. I went into the establishment and request air. They said they didn't have any and that i'd Have to get it aired up on my own. Throughout the the day I had to air up the tire several times which was a serious safety concern. When I returned the truck, I notified the owner of tire issues, to which he replied â€œYeah, I have let Uhaul know the truck needs to be taken out for repairs but they won't let me.â€ Seriously!? Is that safe service? I will not be renting from Uhaul again and do not recommend them.Tina M.

Went to pick up the U-haul and they were closed and it was during business hours. Had to contact customer support and it was almost 2 hours past when I was suppose to pick up the truck. I could check the mileage beforehand because it had a partial flat tire and the message was covering up the odometer. The truck was completely muddy. The gas that was in the truck was not accurate to what was listed on the paper receipt that was e-mailed to me. I had asked not to have the $14.00 Safe Move and they added it anyway. I thought last time was bad but this one takes the cake. I had to use this facility because it was the only one that had a truck available for my time frame in my area.Zachary S.

I have a few comments that I am not happy with - I ordered the truck on-line using my credit card and specifically took off the SafeMove but it looks like when my son went to pick it up they marked to have the SafeMove put on it. Also, my son who has never had to sign anything financial had asked the question because I told him to make sure about putting the gas back into the vehicle. He was told that he needed to make sure the tank was back at 1/2 tank and of course he never looked at the paper work but it showed 5/8 a tank so when he returned the truck he made sure it was at 1/2 tank and I was charged an additional $13.50. I am not happy with this service. I am usually OK with the service at this location but I will make sure not to go to this location anyway. Also I specifically chose a location that was closest to my house and the location where he would be moving to but then the location was changed which made us pay more for mileage. I would have tried a different location not one that was in the opposite direction of the move so they were having to back track to return the truck. TOTALLY UNSATISFIEDZachary S.

I reserved this auto transport on line, entered all the info requested and was approved for the rental. When I got to the store to pick-up the trailer, the computer at the store said the rental was not recommended. After about 15 or 20 minutes, a phone call and some wrangling on the computer, the rental was finally approved. The manager at the store said that this was NOT the first time this has happened. If I had driven from out of town, been approved on line and then told I could NOT rent this trailer, I would have been very upset. This is something that should be checked into and fixed.Frederick P.

Vehicle was good running but not clean inside. The shop sold guns, ammo, bait and hunting gear............and rented a U-Haul truck, and weird walk-up feel........BUT.........the clerk was exceptionally helpful and courteous. I was on my way in 30 minutes. ***************************************************************************However, I was 'deferred' from the Jeffersonville, IN location on Eastern Blvd which had many vehicles, but NONE AVAILABLE FOR ONE-WAY, and that store was in dire need of an overhaul of its customer representative talent. Not very proactive nor engaging there, at all. Kindly advise them to air their petty personal and corporate grievances in private -- not in front of the customers. They were NOT supporting U-Haul's professional brand.George B.
