The mobile check in process is horrible. I had already done most of that online last night and had to do it all again. It took me more than 20 min from when I arrived to get the key. I would have been better off driving 20 min to a staffed location so I wasn’t standing in the cold.

Service was terrible. I'm trying my best to not see this disappointed experience as not that of UHAUL itself. I known know my previous experience to be pleasant and helpful. UHAUL Considering taking a look at the dissatisfied ratings from that particular UHAUL'S pickup and drop off location.

Carla AlbrechtLaGrange was stop #3 for our UHaul. The renter did not return their van to Burr Ridge, so we were sent to Bolingbrook,so perhaps a text to the renter reminding them to get the van back! Location #2 Bolingbrook, Schmidt rd. We arrive at 9:00am; sign on door-opens at 9:00; no one is at the location, and person decides to open at 10:30am! Location #3, get a van, but I am a deacon and had graveside service, leaving my wife and neice to load the van.

Eric OstrowskiI requested in-person interactions because the alternative of using your app is not viable for Android users, since it does not work anywhere near reliably enough to run a business on. Consider the fact that your users are not U-Haul employees and likely have little interest in doing your job for you for free while also paying for the service.

Maribeth SharkeyJackson Storage was EXCELLENT. However your online reservation and online pick-up are TERRIBLE. I filled everything out online to pick up at 9am Saturday 7/29/23. Following YOUR instructions I log on and am told I need 4 more documents for indentification!!!!! EVEN after I scan my drivers license front and back.I am the owner of my company and you want employee verification at 9am on a Saturday. VERY frustrating. Thank God someone from Jackson showed up early or I would have been in a real mess. Jackson GREAT - UHaul online sucks.

David ArcherEDITED 07/13/2023 Went here yesterday to get a truck due to location and figured I would give them a second chance after my initial review. I still definitely would NOT recommend this place. Somehow my reservation was changed to 3:30 am pick up which this location is not even open. When I went to pick up the truck they said they didn't have a reservation for me. The lady there said she could make a new one for me and then I was presented with a letter stating that I was placed on an eAlert list which means I can't rent from them or any other U-Haul location. This eAlert was placed on 07/12/2023 at 9:30am. I received no email or phone call of my cancellation, let alone notified that I was placed on this prior to showing up. The lady there said it could've been placed on there due to this incident 9 months ago. This incident 9 months ago wouldn't even exist if the facility did their job and filled the tank to full after each rental especially when they charge more per gallon to the customer then leaves the gas the same as it was checked in, leaving it for the next customer to deal with. When I brought it to the ladies attention she basically shrugged it off and said it was right while refusing to look at the photo proof. So now i got placed on eAlert for this reason, while she claimed she didn't know the reason. Which she knew exactly why but didn't want to admit it to me. So I called the number provided to me on the paper, was told they couldn't do anything for me and couldn't remove the eAlert so that I could even rent from another location. Was told I would have to speak to a regional manager and await their call to make things right. INITIAL REVIEW If you asked me before today, I would have recommended this specific location as I had no issues. But as of today I would not recommend this specific location. I went to pick up my rental today, they handed me keys and paperwork showing that the gas should be returned at 3/8 of a tank. When I went out to the truck not only was the truck not even cleaned out which was evidenced by the last persons contract being in the center of the truck, but the gas was between 1/4 and 3/8 of a tank. I not only complained about how us customers literally pay so much money to rent these vehicles, but if you don't return it to the level you rented it at they will charge you $5.50 per gallon to refuel it as a convenience fee. They however WILL NEVER actually refuel the truck and will rent it out at the last returned amount. So when you rent it out and complain about the gas being so low, they say "it's u-haul policy that we just rent it out at the returned fuel lever." So you as a customer are basically get screwed and have to play "guess the gauge" hoping you don't fill it more than you should, cause then you'd be giving them more gas than you for FREE since they don't compensate you for it . ALL TRUCKS should be filled to FULL prior to renting out. It's pure laziness not to when there is a gas station 2 minutes down the road. When I called them out for the inaccurate gauge amount on the contract they just wanted to cancel my contract for today and even my future reservations with them. Not only that, but I initially inquired about a 15 ft truck which they said would have to be returned by 9am tomorrow. YET they had two of them in their lot.... I have even called customer service and all they cared about was finding me a new location to rent for even if it costed me more money. They didn't want to make the situation right.

The daily rate and mileage fee was talked about but no mention of insurance! Which I already have!! Terrible way to do business. I’ll NEVER recommend UHaul to anyone.
