The truck smells like someone pooped in the truck. We had to drive with the door open so our items wouldn't smell like poop. Once we delivered our things our new location, we had to air out alot of stuff because it smelled like crap. The only reason that we got the truck was because the 14th was the last day that we had to leave our apartment and move in another apartment. We had no choice but to get this truck because all the trucks in Rock Hill was taken. We talked to the lady that give it to us and she wasn't any help.FREDDIE B.
I was not provided a drop off address by the people I rented from, just a city. I called the 800 number and waited for 30 mins before someone answered and gave me the name, address and hours of operation of the drop off point. I arrived during business hours but no one was there and no one answered the phone number listed. There was a key drop box by the door THAT HAD THE KEY FOR THE LOCK BOX HANGING OUT OF THE LOCK! I called the place I rented from (because I didn't want to wait another 30 mins on hold) and was advised to check-in the equipment online and was assured I would not be responsible if someone stole the vehicle after I left. This still made me uncomfortable, I took pictures of everything. I don't think I'll be using u-haul next time.Howard A.

Please change pick up time! This location opens at 10 am NOT 9 am. I would like a $75 credit because the pick up time was an hour LATER than listed online. And I could not get all of my items moved due to the hour delay.Tatanish C.
There is not enough room to park the return trucks no one was there no one there to check truck in.was not sure what to do with the truck keys .so had to call the Wilkerson store to find what to do...now the next day when the lady call me back About the return she was very nice.Now I don't think I should be charged for the extra miles it wasn't my fault.Doris H.
We visited both the Bluffton and Beaufort locations. Both very clean and welcoming staff. We felt very at home and listened to. Stacy and Jack, our movers, we the kindest and very helpful. Both were very knowledgeable and knew how to treat my belongings and me with respect. 10 out of 10 all around!Amanda R.

Using the mobile share was a bit cumbersome and I was overcharged for gas. The truck we had reserved was inaccessible due to being in between 2 other vehicles. Had it not been for the owner driving by the closed location our day would have been ruined. My ratings do not totally reflect on the location but the mobile share process. It took us nearly 2 hours to finally get into a truck. Please check our bill for the over charges and if possible reimburse the $58.88.Derek L.

I wanted to rent a 15 foot truck and since one wasn't available I was supposed to get a 20 foot truck. Somehow my reservation was cancelled. Then I received a call from a Uhaul rep and she said the truck was available. I called this location and she did have the 20 foot truck. I was scheduled to pick up at 5:30. I was called at 3 and said their was a problem. That truck wasn't available and the only thing they had was a 26 foot truck. I took this truck bc I had to have a truck. It took alot more money to rent especially the gas I had to put in it. She said she was giving me the truck for the same price as the 20 foot truck but I don't know since I never saw an itemized list. It ended up costing me $240 plus $46 in gas. The total mileage was around 85 miles. In the future when you reserve a certain truck you should receive that truck or uhaul should make sure that a certain truck is available before you can rent it. It proved to be a difficult day because my daughter was moving from an apartment to a townhouse. It is extremely difficult to drive a 26 foot truck through small parking lots that are usually associated with townhouses. We were blocking the parking lot at times and some people had to move their cars so we could get the uhaul into several parking places. The 15 foot truck would have been the perfect size.Lisa C.

No clue on how to operate uhaul computer program. Took 45 minutes to rent an autotransport. Also tried to rent a dolly from Palmetto Storage and they could not figure out the uhaul program. Is it the usera or uhaul? I will not rent from either uhaul representative in Chester SCTRAVIS H.

After we rented the vehicle we got in it to drive away and it didn't start. We went back into the store and the proprietor of the establishment had gone to lunch and left her friend behind the counter who did not know how to help us. We had to sit around and wait and next or 30 minutes.Sam D.

We were told it was a 10ft truck and when we picked it up it was 20ft. We opened the passenger door and the weather stripping fell off. It poured rain and the cab leaked soaking the passenger. It was a one way trip and it didn't cover enough miles. I have rented alot of uhauls and have never had a problem getting the right size truck and not having it leak. I would like to have the extra miles covered in the one way rental since it was very noisy with no weather stripping and a wet trip for the passenger. I hope you can help us with this problem. They were closed when I dropped off the tow dolly I'd rented and I couldn't get the location setting on my phone to work for a self check in, so I called and talked to someone on the phone, who did a dispute, to make sure I wasn't charged extra. She was very helpful.Jeremy C.

the guy that waited on me appeared to either be drunk or getting over a rough night. I was told the dolly had just been inspected but when I used it the strap that holds the tire was broke, I had to go and get a 2" towing strap to secure the car I was hauling.CLAYTON D.

Broken side mirror has to tape it on. Brakes would brake on their own almost got rear ended several tome. Oil gage went up and down. Plate light dangleing. Truck was flithy when we got it. Complete gas hog.Amy M.

My experience with uhaul was not affected by this pickup location. The customer service at J&W Pawn was good. However, I was originally set to pick up at a location in Rock Hill, which also provided good customer service. However, when I arrived at the location, my reserved truck was not there. The owner of the store told me that my pickup location had been moved (without contacting me) to another location about 15 minutes away. We went to this location...no truck. The employees there were rude and told me that just because I had a reservation, I was not guaranteed a truck. They did not help us with the issue at all. I called uhaul customer service and relayed this information. They told me my reservation had been cancelled by someone else, and the only truck available was 35 minutes away. The customer service associate told me she would keep the truck the same rate as the smaller one I originally wanted to reserve, and that I would get a 50 dollar credit towards my rental for my trouble. After driving to the third location, I was able to pick up the truck but the 50 dollar credit was not applied to my account and was therefore not visible to the employees at this location and the truck was more expensive than my original reservation. All in all, dealing with uhaul has been a rather trying experience. I had to travel to three different locations to finally get a truck and uhaul continued to drop the ball when it came to honoring their commitments.Shannon Y.
