We were told several different locations from the time we reserved and when we actually picked up the unit. Your on line "self service" system is terrible. We returned the unit on Saturday morning but the office was not open. We parked the unit. Monday, about mid day, the scheduling office called and where the unit was, did we want additional time. We told them that the unit had been returned. Why did they not call the location and ask them first if the unit was returned??????

I needed a bigger truck and was changed to a smaller truck last minute causing me to make multiple trips for my move and costing more. Then I discovered that the zip tie to the blankets in the back was already broken. Indicating that I used them. There was a hand truck I didn't ask for in the back taking up space as well. During the move that zip tie broke too. $10 I was charged because who would believe I didn't use them. The zip ties were very thin. Anyway, Other than that, truck was great.

Everything was exactly as expected. Super clean and well running vehicle. When we dropped it off it was at 99,999 miles, so the next renter will get the good luck!! Super easy check in and out process. Very COViD friendly, professional and polite staff. Thank you Jays for making an emotional move a bit less stressful!

On the mobile check in let the customer know that you will need an alt contact person available to answer the phone if you don't provide other documentation. I checked-in at 7:30a on a Sat and my alt contacts weren't awake yet. Took awhile to get someone to answer the phone.

Tell them that old 5 foot trailers leak rainwater and soaked my antique furniture. Old oil based furniture finish is ruined. Tell them to reject any trailers that have several coats of caulk applied all over the battered, worn out equipment that U-Haul rents.. Never again.

The check out and check in process were very time consuming and took multiple refresh processes. I arrived at the location just in time but the check in, picture taking process took so long I was “late” checking in. Also, took nearly 30 minutes checking out. I appreciate that UHaul is working with folks and turned this around so quick. But, there are still kinks to work out and it feels disrespected to get charged for something that isn't working 100%.

There was weird chrunchy noises come from the wheel area under the truck at low speeds... Check the wheel bearing? Maybe?

Jays was fine. Mobile pickup worked. However, I was supposed to pick up my truck from Browns Tire Towing & Auto Inc. in Shepherdstown, but my truck was blocked by another truck. There was a nice new truck up front that was the size I needed, so I called Uhaul and the customer service rep said she could not give me that truck to use. She said it was for a one way rental only and wasn't available for mobile pickup. That sounds totally ridiculous to me. Who cares about the one way pickup? How can a newer truck not be available for mobile pickup but the old busted run down truck was available for mobile? Anyhow, she said she would try and locate another truck and call me back. Browns is also a towing place, so I called and actually got someone. The guy, Ronny said it would take him 45 minutes to get to the shop and move the truck. I said okay. Then customer service called me back and located another truck. It was quicker to drive out of my way to pick up the other truck than to wait 45 minutes for the guy to show up. Was a totally annoying and unnecessary experience. I even made a point to call Browns on Friday to make sure they had my order and moving blankets and everything was a go for Sunday. They assured me everything was good. It definitely wasn't. Terrible experience. Could not believe they had a truck parked in front of the truck I needed. And that I couldn't use the truck that wasn't blocked. Very annoying.

I called customer service since I needed a truck and they guided me to the nearest U-Haul who had a truck that I could use and drop off in Silver spring md, when I first moved a week ago to wv to my brothers home due to new apt issues it was a total mess I was not advice to have return the truck in a timely manner thinking that I could drop off anywhere it took U-Haul about 7 days to let me know that was not the Terms of my contract several people I talked to on the phone from U-Haul stated that it was ok to drop off in wv not true bad experience, all I kept hearing from employees from the Takoma service center was did you not read your contract , they were not empathetic or cared for my troubles with the move

No cellular service at this location. Could not do mobile return on either of my smart phones ( different carriers). Additionally, the location (recommended by UHaul as the preferred drop location) is rather small and located several blocks off a main route creating narrow roads which are difficult for navigation of a 26' rental truck.

24/7 pick-ups should not be allowed at this location. The network connection is so poor that I tried to complete the process but my reservation expired before I could finish and i had to call for assistance which was also a lengthy process. When were finally finished I requested to speak with a manager and was on hold for another 10 minutes or so. This reservation was unsatisfactory from the get-go since the pickup location was 45 minutes from where it was requested and was off the highway 15-20 minutes of country roads. The only positive part of this experience was dropping the truck off and being told there were no additional charges. I don't plan to use U-Haul again.

I was charged for a fuel surcharge even though I put gas back in the truck when it was returned as well as an extra days charge even though I was told by the owners as long as it was back by 8 I didnt have to worry about additional charges. Now I have an extra $70 charge I was not expecting. I called to speak with them about it and noone gas returned my call.

I contacted customer service to ask if this location accept after hours drop off, she repeatedly emphasized that they don't accept after after 5pm told me that I have to bring the truck during business hours which I was not expected, because I have to be at work At 7am until 7 pm , then I had to call off from work to bring the truck at 8 am at the location and I asked lady at location if they accept after hours drop off, she said yes they do accept, and said that the lady in customer service office didn't know about, it was absolutely inconvenience for me an costed me a-lot ,

First time using the 24/7 option and it was terrible. Couldn't get reception on phone had to call 3X for assistance. Had to send pictures 3X, reference person was called 3X. Couldn't get lock off..UGH.. Took me 2 hours to get in the truck.. I was less than happy.. However, now that I know what I am doing, I'd do it again.. Knowledge is key..

am blamed for damage that was on the truck when picked. Do not use the mobile phone to pickup or drop off. The link they gave me for damage was not good and did not work so could not do report. Truck was dirty and something spilled everywhere when picked up. I hot charged 85.00 to clean a already dirty truck and no one called me they just charged my card.
