We waited for an hour trying to pick up the truck. The worker was very nice but was not trained to do U-Haul rentals. She was eventually able to get her boss on the phone and she gave us the key. We found out later the hold up was because they didn’t have any of the equipment we requested, just the truck. I called U-Haul to get a refund for the equipment I paid for and spent another 40 minutes on the phone because our contract was never executed so there was no record of us having the truck.

I had issue using the inspection part of your website. I disputed the back image of the dolly as it had moderate damage to the orange fender and supporting metal flange. I would address this issue before renting it again.

The Uhaul had ash from cigarettes all over the cup holders.The tank was less than what was presented and my location shifter at the last second to this one which cost me 100s of dollars with gas and movers expense since I was late to my own move by and hour because of this. I would like to have either a credit or a refund for this move..

All the extra stuff I requested wasn’t ready or available. I needed a dozen furniture pads and an appliance dolly and this location didn’t have it. Also the people at the location weren’t able to help me hook up. I had to do it all myself.

The only thing I would do is get the ramp latch on the driver side of the tow dolly I used fixed. There is a small piece of rope that I had to tie the ramp with to keep it from falling out.

The lady at this location was EXTREMELY helpful, knowledgeable, and was able to sort out the huge mess that was made by the guy at the U-Haul place in Garner, NC.

So I had a strange experience here. Uhaul first told me to return the trailer to another location. I got to that location and it was a used car lot with no uhaul trailers. I needed to return the trailer by 9 am to avoid an extra day charge. I was there by 9 am. But with no other trailers I figured something was strange. But the used car dealer didn't open until 10. So I waited for someone and when I could finally talk with someone they told me they don't accept uhaul trailer returns. So then I had to call uhaul. They told me there were no close locations that were available. I said I just passed a place a few miles away (Jeffrey's) and that I could either take it there or leave it at the used car lot as I had been instructed to do. So uhaul called Jeffries and got the OK for me to return the trailer there. I did so. Of course it was now after 10 am, so now Jeffries hit me with an extra day charge for something that was the fault of uhaul. And no one is willing to correct this. It was frustrating enough that I had to waste time because of being sent to a place that didn't accept trailers, but now I'm being charged extra because of it.

I turned the truck in Sunday in Youngsville, they acknowledge they have the truck but have yet to enter it in the system yet, therefore, I'm about to file a lawsuit & I better not be charged a penny more than I was quoted at Lloyd's!

Problems with Uhaul program. Not enough time allowed for oneway move to load, drivetime, and unload. Not enough mileage given for hidden contengentcies, overpaid for miles. 800- office not helpful..... Dealing with Uhaul 800/ non-live communication stressful...... etc......

I actually experienced two different U-Haul businesses, and the differences between the two were incredible! The first one was located at 2020 Flat Rock Church Rd. Louisburg, NC (919) 633-1103. The owner only identified himself as “Sam.” I have never experience anything so rude, unprofessional, and threatening in my life (and I’m 67 years old). I still find it hard to believe anyone would do business with this guy! On Saturday (11/12/22) we called asking to rent a 6 by 10 foot enclosed trailer; “Sam” only wanted my wife’s debit-card number or a credit-card number. We did not have the card with us so we actuality visited the business and spoke with Sam. The business was very, very poorly kept; trash and garbage everywhere and it smelled like urine inside. When you walk in the floor on one side has completely collapsed/buckled and is extremely unsafe; but we thought this guy probably needed the money. Sam told us, “U-Haul changed all of its policies” and continued to ask for a credit-card. We did not feel safe but we also needed the trailer and Sam said he was the only one who had a trailer that size. We left and called U-Haul directly and were somehow given Sam’s number. This time we rented the trailer by telephone and submitted a credit-card number and thought it safer because we did it over the telephone. We scheduled to pick-up the trailer the next day (11/13/22) at 11:00am. I arrived at 2020 Flat Rock Church Rd. at about 10:50am and waited outside until 11:05 and when it did not open I called the number listed on the doorway (919) 633-1103. I explained that I rented a trailer for 11:00 but the business was not open. Sam identified himself and said he did not open until 11:00, and I replied it was after 11:00. Sam said “We like to warm-up the computers.” I said I understood and that I will be waiting outside until you open. Around 11:10 -11:15 the blinds on the front door opened and I entered the building. Again the place was extremely filthy, the floor was unsafe with one side of the floor completely collapsed that had bags of what looked like cement trying to keep the rest of the floor from buckling. Trash and the smell of urine was through-out the business. The first thing Sam said to me was, “I’m having a good day and you are having a bad day!” I should mention, Sam had his two older sons standing next to him as if they were there to protect him. I said we only wanted to rent a trailer and already submitted our credit-card number. Sam said then you should have received something on your phone. I replied that the reservation was probably made on my wife’s phone and she was not with me. Sam said in a very condescending and threatening manor; “I’m having a good day and you are having a very bad day.” I then asked if we could transfer the transaction from my wife’s phone to my phone. Sam said you will have to get your wife to come here if you want to rent from me. Sam stood –up and started walking towards me with both of his sons. I then asked, “What kind of a place is this: we are just trying to rent a trailer?” Sam said, “You are having a very bad day and I’m having a good day!” I immediately left this U-Haul business. I checked on-line for another U-Haul business and found one located at 5615 HWY 401, in Youngsville, NC. Contract #: 27185107) The experience was completely different, the opposed from my first experience. The women who greeted me was very customer-service friendly and completed the equipment contract within a few minutes and even had another employee help place the trailer on the back of my truck. When I returned the next day another employee assisted in taking the trainer off. I could not have asked for any better service at the Youngsville U-Haul vs. the threatening and unprofessional service from Louisburg U-Haul. It should be noted that I did contact the NC Attorney General’s Office (Consumer Protection) in order to file a formal complaint (among other things).

Was charged for an extra day. Called ahead to confirm there would not be an extra day added for being a few minutes late due to heavy rain. Took 35 minutes to "pick up". Uhaul employee not available on drop off. Had the pickup time reflected the actual time picked up it would not have even been late. More the principal than the 20$, again confirmed that it would not be charged for a fourth day before dropping off.

The staff there helped me with nothing. Evidently, there's only one person who knows how to check someone out on Uhaul. The trailer I rented was a dual axle and was VERY heavy. I'm a man and I had an extremely difficult time attaching the trailer because of the weight of the tongue. No one would help me. Two employees literally stood there like two idiots from Dumb and Dumber.

Everyone was very nice, but it took me an hour to get the trailer because of the computer being slow and freezing up, and that was after I had already reserved and done everything online ahead of time. I ended up having to talk to someone on the phone to complete the process. Please get them a new computer at this location!

We had to wait over 30 minutes while they were looking for the key to the truck. Finally they found them, but then my husband found the there was less than half tank of gas. So again we had to wait for the tank be filled. I would not recommend this place.

Overall our experience with Uhaul was a debacle. I do not see how you make a reservation to have someone tell you they don't have a truck. They send you to another location that they assure you has s truck only to find out they do not. We were then sent to a third location (Youngsville) which did have friendly staff and a truck. Needless to say, it will be a cold day before I rent from uhaul again.

Unknown to me, the truck's headlights were not up to par. There was only one headlight, and it was poor. I had a difficult time navigating the winding back roads to my destination putting me at risk.

The service was fine, but the location is a bit small to accommodate for U-Haul and the other customers shopping there. It is a gas station too and the clerk was multi-tasking, although she did great, she did not have any help. We were supposed to receive a refund for not having furniture covers (dozen), they informed us they would refund us, but due to the timing it took for her to ring us out and wait on the other customers we had to leave for other engagements. We never received the refund.

The youg lady was very understanding, The truck that was going to be mine had not shown up at his desonated time 9am. So she checked with her boss,and instead of making me wait for who knows how long. They decided to swap out equipment. That was a blessing to me was on a tight time schedule lol. Reservation was at BJ Grocery for 7:30AM pick-up. Location posted sign for open time at 6AM. Location was not open at pick-up time and I had to change the reservation to Jeffrey's. This caused an hour delay with my help to move waiting.

My experience with the local vendor was very good. However, UHaul was a disaster. Unfortunately, the previous renter did not return the vehicle on-time, so I was forced to another location at the last minute. Obviously, that is not UHaul's fault, but every other part of the billing experience was not clearly communicated. I spent 30 minutes on the phone during the return process, just to get clarification on the rates I was being charged. Also, the length of my rental period was incorrect. Mostly avoidable with proper communication and diligence on UHaul's side.

First they gave me a truck with no heat and then the truck I got to replace the one with out heat ran horrible as hell and cost me 50 bucks in gas for only 65 to 75 miles total trip

The staff here went above and beyond to help me get the truck. The Uhaul experience using mobile pickup was the absolute worst. The mobile order wouldn't process and I couldn't get anyone on the phone. When I finally did and was able to move forward, I was then once again held up by the mobile system. Finally, with the help of the staff at the store being on the phone with Uhaul, I was able to get the truck, but the mobile pickup process never completed. What should have been a 15 minute (at best) process ended up being a 1.5 hour process. If I had had another option, I would have taken it.

People at all locations were very nice and helpful… But you’re on line service and people answering the phone is a joke… No one will answer the phone you’re put on hold and when you get someone they don’t know what you’re talking about… We had a flat tire and had to go to one of your service centers to get it repaired were initially told to go online for roadside Service but my phone would not connect to that and I could get no one to answer the phone after a more than two hour delay someone there finally helped us would not want to use your service again due to this

It took me 30 minutes to get my rental truck. the problem when you do this at a gas station and they only have 1 attendant getting your rental goes on the back burner. They constantly stop working on your rental to ring up customers that want to purchase an item in the store.

Need more staff that are trained to lease vehicles. When we returned the truck, the attendant could only write down the mileage and fuel amount. I had to return the next day to get my receipt and make sure everything was cleared. Attendant that day could not work the system either. Had to call someone that was trained/authorized to find out how to get me a receipt.

The location was nice, my issue was with the pickup time selection on the website. When I completed the order it let me select 07:00 as a pickup time, but the actual location did not allow for pickup until the gas station opened at 09:00 on Sundays. It would be helpful if pickup time options were limited to the open hours of the facility.
