Glendon SandersBoth locations were great, but uhaul at the national level is a joke. Traveled 14 hours to reach pick up point with difficulties. Wrote a note stating I would be three hours late to pick up. National canceled my reservation thirty minutes before I arrived. I called and they confirmed my schedule change and then started dancing with "not our fault." Uhaul canceled my reservation, so yes it is your fault.

The truck windshield on the inside looked like it was cleaned with buttered toast and outside was filthy as well with no washer fluid. The cab smelled like someone transported 5 wet dogs in it. Disgusting. The real problem is that I made the reservation 4 weeks ago in warren pa. At a uhaul location 3 miles away. I got a call directly from uhaul that if I wanted my truck I would have to drive to corry pa to get it. 35 miles away. So I had to burn my gas ,my vehicle and 2 hours of mine and a friends time for 70 mile round trip to get the truck which I did. I think you guys owe me some money back for my vehicle gas the extra truck gas and all of the inconvenience. I lived up to my part of the agreement and reservation and you guys dropped the ball. My time is worth money too.

Teresa NewbroughHave the trailers inspected. The one I hauled the brakes were weird. Sometimes they didn’t even seem to work then they’d suddenly lock up and jerk my truck. I have a larger cargo trailer I use, but heard that your little ones get great mpg. It got about 2 mpg better than my full sized trailer, but it rode like a brick and had the brake issues. Not impressed at all. Renting for only $20 per day extra is a very nice feature.

Duane IngallsSimple, easy, and inexpensive. Needed and trailer in a hurry to go pick up husband and broken down motorcycle < 50 miles away. Was going to borrow a trailer, but this trailer was so easy and exactly what we needed. They helped hook it up and checked lights with me and I was on safely on my way. Trailer towed easily and had tie-down points exactly where needed! Safe experience is all that really matters and I received good service too.
Nancy MorrisonThe website is awful, chamged my hours needed and put me in for a third shift event and I couldnt get the truck i reserved. Thank god jims people, they switched me over to a smaller truck but got me on the road. Checking back in was also smooth and friendly. The extra hour out if my way was balanced by their friendlyness.
Kathleen DenmanHad never rented Uhaul trailer before, wasn't told of tip out fender, bumped car door on fender, before realizing it tipped out of way. This was only bad experience of the rental. It was an awesome trailer, towed well, just under 800 mile trip.
JOHN VISTRANDJim's did good. I reserved on website. Although ! tried for 3 days to set something up at the Erie Pa. U haul & for 3 days Nobody answered the phone & i called 3 times a day. Was on hold 1/2 hour each time with no answer. They must be way understaffed. This is no reflection on Jim's. Had no problem at Jim's.
Frank HallmanAgain they could not get proper paper work at their facility, said information did not match what they had. Returned both truck and auto hauler a day early. Would not recommend this drop off location at all.

David deardornThe only disappointing thing was that I had to drive from Erie PA to Corry PA (1 hour) to pick up the trailer. I was surprised that a trailer was not available in the Erie area especially when I reserved it about 2 weeks ahead of pickup.
Peter GrantI paid online. However, when my son went to the place to pick up the trailer, the salesperson said we owed them. I had to text the receipt to my son. Then the salesman said we owed $30 for insurance. I was confused because I did the transaction online and I did not owe for anything. I had my son put the salesperson on the phone and after going around and around with him, he finally stated that the insurance was OPTIONAL. This is EXACTLY why I took care of everything online, because I already knew.... once they saw my son(young African American male)... they would give him a hard time. I am tired to it! And if I can ever find another rental company to use...I will be using them! Trust me...I will share this incident with my friends- both black and white!

Ron MarshI had made a reservation a week in advance and was sent to the neighboring state to get the truck. Luckily, I called ahead the morning I was going to pickup the truck & was told that they didn't have my rental, but I never received any notification about it. Fortunately, I was able to get a truck from Jim's Automotive right up the street from me. I had zero issues throughout the rental process and I will definitely rent another truck from Jim's Automotive again.

This just added to the negative experience we had when the pick up location for the vehicle was changed to Corry which was out of the way that we were traveling. Customer service phone number was extremely unhelpful and unpleasant to deal with. Was on hold multiple times for over 15 minutes each time. They also had notated that they had “left us a couple messages “ about the pickup location, which is a complete lie. They called one time. That is it. Will definitely consider a different rental company for a next college move.

Jeff McClintockJim has almost no people skills at all and originally tried to give me a trailer with no turn signal. He switched trailers and the next one had 2 marker lights out. It took me over an hr to get on the road. He was reluctantly cooperative.
