The owners of this location really helped us out in a bad time to get a truck fast and helped us out in a bind. They were helpful right up to the end. Even late at night!

The yard was messy we did not have any room to back trailor in so we left it in driveway.

The personnel at this location were extremely helpful however I am very dissatisfied with other aspects of my uhaul experience...my reservation details were not honoured...the truck was too big and the pick location was not as requested and cost us an extra $60 in gas...the truck was issued for 2 days rather than 1 day and no drop off location was assigned at time of pick up...this is our second horrendous experience with uhaul and there will not be a third...unexpected and unacceptable experience!!

This doesn't not apply to the service from Joey Thomas Car Care; but U-haul organization: I reside in Sydney, NS. There are 3 local U-Haul vendors, but noneven possess a car dolly. I had to drive 1 hour to get this one, return from a 7 hour trip with my daughter's car, then drive another hour to return the dolly, and drive again another hour back home. I asked if I could rent one in St John, NB, and return it to a Sydney vendor; as they could apparently use one (Note: there were 2 at the Baddeck location). The adamant response I got was that there was no way this was possible without me paying an additional $200. I feel this is excessive; and dropping one in Sydney would only improve you business situation here. As for accommodating your customers, the practice doesn't exist in my experience with U-Haul. I wanted to pick up the equipment at The UPS Store in Sydney not have to drive almost an hour to get it. Either Uhaul does not have enough equipment or they need to move it to where people need it

The trailer wouldn't stop swaying the entire journey. There is something wrong with it, I'm lucky I was able to keep it under control. I had to go 40km/h the entire trip. I missed the boat and had to spend the night in nova scotia.

The location is a house outside of Baddeck with lots of old cars and junk strewn around the property. When I was in the house finishing the paperwork, the owner's son kept walking through in his bare feet and with no shirt on. This is not a professional location.

I live in Albert Bridge and had to drive to Baddeck to pick up the trailer- a return trip of 120 miles. This, I feel is unreasonable... but I needed the trailer.-BE

The location, some 7 miles outside of Baddeck, is really a house with a driveway, packed with cars so tightly that it is almost impossible to maneuver a truck up the driveway. This is not a normal U-Haul location. It is someone's home residence. The door to the office was locked, and when I looked through the window all I could see was trash littered about. I ended up knocking on the side door of the house, and a teenager (not the owner of the U-Haul location) eventually came to the door, pulling up his pants and struggling to get his shoes on. He was obviously in bed when I rang (at 9:10 a.m.!) and was trying to get dressed. He checked the odometer and the gas gauge, but when I asked him to check the back of the truck to make sure it was clean and the moving blankets accounted for, he said he didn't need to. This is the most unprofessional conduct I have ever observed in more than a dozen rentals from U-Haul. I'd suggest going back to the original dealer in Baddeck that I used to deal with in the past.

The drop off location is not in Baddeck - its actually out off the Trans-Canada in Port Bevis - so its a bit misleading to say Baddeck. When you Google Maps to get directions - it takes you to another location. There are no signs that indicate it is a business or U-Haul associate. I spent 90 minutes or more trying to find the location and only with the help of some friendly residents, did I finally find the return location. I probably consumed an 1/8th of tank of fuel driving to the location so I trust I will not be charged for that.
