This process was incredibly frustrating and took us much longer than anticipated. We wasted over an hour of our day uploading documents and communicating via text with the U-Haul employee. Would not recommend to anyone trying to have a seamless move.

Yates CThe truck needs to be fully inspected. I was rented a truck with a hole in the roof little did I know because the roof is 11 feet tall and I am not the one that should be inspecting it. I paid for a rental to transport my entire life, safe and sound, and that did not happen. It rained all the way up to New Hampshire. I’ve lost a lot of belongings due to negligence.

Andrew PMy drop-off was after hours. The only issue I had was getting the trailer off the ball. This was one of the new flip-over lever that goes on the ball. it was very difficult and heavy to get off the ball. I had to use my hydraulic jack to get it off. The older screw style is much easier to get off the ball as it allows more space around the ball. You may want to look into whether this new style is actually better than the old.

Chris FThe location was a little difficult to spot as it is a small driveway next to the train tracks. More important to note was the local UHaul representative who, after trying to adjust my rental to something that made more sense than an 80-mile round trip to get the unit, very rudely said, "why do you even need a truck for two days"? " Most people can load & unload a truck in 6 hours! Well, you have no clue about the circumstance of our move! We were awaiting a C of O for our new home that took two-three months to achieve; we found out on Thursday we were finally able to move, and we rented the truck Friday. When you have no clue when you can move, no, we weren't completely packed; what is it her business how long it may take to load & unload a truck?!? I am paying for a service and trying to logistically make that transaction logical and cost-effective! The 24-hour pick-up with the ID photos at a dark, closed location is also a bit cumbersome. The last time I rented a uhaul truck, #1, thought that a tire was going to come off because it started shaking like it was, and that was after the sales person told me it was just serviced,#2, after the self checkout I thought I worked for uhaul. Chester TReally no room for improvement. I like renting here because there’s no waiting, the equipment here is always in top notch condition, and the lady renting out the equipment is on point. These smaller UHaul operations can be a better renting experience.

Karwn AI was not provided the appliance dolly that was ordered. I picked up the truck off hours so the store was not open, nor was there a contact number give if there was any issues besides the company telephone. Called the uhaul customer service number provided and that representative told me there was nothing to be done and hung up. I had to wait 2 hours before any store was open to rent a dolly from a different company two towns away to be able to even start my move. I am not impressed that all I am being offered is a gift certificate for my troubles instead of being refunded the mileage. Its frustrating that the website says we guarantee/promise the supplies and when I arrive it's not there. There needs to be a way to personally contact a human when something like this happens and to be able to make it right at that moment- not figure it out yourself or we'll give you a discount on your next rental. I understand people make mistakes but let's make things right so the customer doesn't have to go without. Instead of plastering guaranteed promise all over the website, put a warning up that there is a possibility it's not there and there's nothing to be done outside of the rental place business hours.

Robert GYes tank was at 3/8 On both funds because we check the gauge because my husband used to work for U-Haul and I missed and it said it was at 7/16 so I was charged an additional $15 which is really not acceptable.

Eugene RThe folks at this location were very helpful. Initially I had inquired at this location about renting the trailer at the Knoxville location and returning to Penn Yan, one way. They were very helpful, then again upon my return. No issues.
Donald SInspection of tires and replacement before blow outs would be helpful. None of 4 tires were in good condition. I wouldn't operate my own equipment in a similar condition. The replacement was fine it was new. Showed how bad the other 3 were.
