The self/mobile pick-up experience is VERY frustrating. U-Haul should make it clear before selection what information is needed to proceed with a mobile/self-pick up. I would have done a regular counter service had I known how burdensome the mobile process is. The location was very helpful with getting me checked-in but the mobile experience is awful/burdensome.Qd W.

My experience was absolutely horrifying. My truck already had a flat tire which I wasn't able to check before accepting the vehicle. The last time this vehicle was inspected was in April, which is also ridiculous. The uhaul vehicles need to be inspected after every reservation so that these issues are prevented in the future. I was on the phone for over 1.5 hours and even then, the customer service agents were super rude. They refused to exchange my vehicle for a different one and didn't offer any solutions. My overall experience was horrible and I would never rent from here again.Hayoung C.

This was the worst and most unprofessional experience of my life. I booked a truck for 10:00am only to arrive and the location was CLOSED we waited around for 45 minutes then decided to try driving to another uhaul because we really needed to move. On our way to the other uhaul I get a text saying we're ready to check in so we turn around and go back to where we made the reservation and the guy is giving us so much attitude. We express that it's now 11:30 and we booked it for 10:00am and he says â€œdo you want to argue with me or do you want a trick because I don't have to give you a truckâ€ so they rudely hand us the keys and show us to the trucks and leave. We didn't sign any paperwork, weren't told we had to report any damage, nothing. Only after we got home with the truck did I get a text asking to report damage. Glad we did because the truck was banged up and there was dirt, styrofoam, and broken glass in the back! Also the truck was supposed to come with moving pads and it didn't have any!! Also we had reserved two dollys with the truck and the guy told us he doesn't have any, why were we able to reserve them in the first place?? The owners of the store just made excuses and we're so rude to us when they should have been apologizing for our experience! The worst part is I got a copy of a contract in my email that I had supposedly signed but I had NEVER been shown the contract and the signature was NOT MINE. That is forgery. Horrible experience. This was absolutely unacceptable. I showed up to pick up my truck and there was no truck. I was never contacted in advance to be told this was the case. After 30 minutes of having me wait for a truck, a shop employee suggested perhaps he could help find a truck in the area. I had been on hold with UHAUL the entire time with no luck. I booked an 11:30 truck, and at 1pm I was given a truck and it took 15 minutes to do the paperwork necessary to drive away. When you rent a car or truck you expect it to be there. When it wasn't, they showed little ability to do anything to help. I rented 4 dollies and they were never provided to me because they were not available. I was deceived and taken advantage of. I could have booked a truck and dollies elsewhere if I were told they would not be available, but I feel they weren't forthright as a way to steal my business. Do not trust this location.Daniel K.
Worst experience of my life this time around. I booked a U-Haul for pick the 24/7 option where I would be able to pick up in a lock box. I tried to access this on my phone and it wouldn't let me I called and customer service notified me that this location does not do mobile pick up for the truck I selected, even thought the website said differently and allowed me to book. The representative over the phone then proceeded to send me to another location at this point I had been on the phone for over an hour by the time I got to the next location it was well after 8:30. This location was literally in the middle of nowhere and it took me 45mins to get any kind of service to finally get access to the mobile pick up. By the time I got the truck it was almost 9:30. I was delayed almost 3 hours and had to go to multiple locations, hugely inconvenient. Never again.Lynn O.

I need some form of refund. I had to Uber to two separate locations to get my truck because you guys changed the location up on me after I had already arrived at the pick up spot we agreed upon. I also ordered a truck with a hand truck and moving padsâ€”neither of which were in the car. Customer service was a bit odd at pick up - the staff have to multitask between truck rental and the beer/wine store and they opted to wait on retail customers several times mid-rental and interrupted/delayed my transaction each time. It wasn't a big deal but did delay me by about 15-20 minutes. Otherwise all good.SARA C.

I did not reserve the the van ahead of time. When I got there I was told to call someone who was off location. Then the person said I had to reverse the van online. This took extra time out of my day. When I returned the van I had to wait to be checked in. The whole process at the location seamed extremely unprofessional. If I need to rent a moving vehicle I wont go to this location again. I only went there out of the convenience. I will look for another location in the future.JOEL S.

The self checkout took too long to complete and ate into my rental time. I was not told that the secondary contact would be called and as a result they didn't pick up the random number. The total delay ended up being half an hour. It should be clear that the secondary person will be called and I could've given them a heads up.Jonathan H.

Reserved a dolly, didn't get it, truck was dirty, greasey hand prints all over mirrors, widows filthy,dash panel filthy, inside the truck smelled like an old bar. Prior renter left the vehicle dirty (empty water bottles, small plastic bag with garbage, crumbs, and other miscellaneous items). Inspection and cleaning of the vehicle before re-renting would be appreciated. In the end, I did get a good van and the move was accomplished. However, the rental process was miserable. The location was a beer and wine store with only one guy running the store and the rentals. In the 90 minutes I was there, I saw about 6 other people renting trucks, so this poor guy was dealing with multiple renters plus the store customers. When there were problems with the trucks (one had a brake light out, one reservation couldn't be found, my first one came with its own cigarette butts and vomit), the guy had to ask everyone to leave the store, lock the doors, and go deal with the issues at a distant lot. Just ridiculous. The problem is that U-Haul seems to have moved to this franchise system where other businesses (gas stations, stores, etc.) run a few rental trucks on the side. The franchisees don't know anything about trucks and offer zip support; not like when you used to go to a U-Haul center where staff knew what they were doing. Also be aware that while the reservation website prompts you to add things like dollies, furniture pads, and boxes, most of these locations don't have those - or even know what they are. Finally, always check to see if you can park at the rental location. If you're picking up a truck by yourself and suddenly find you can't leave the car you came in, your day just got way more complicated.Christopher M.
While I thought it was strange to drop the truck off at a package store, I guess it would make good commercial sense that one would grab a couple of snacks and drinks in the course of dropping off one's truck. That is genius. The young Ethiopian man was very kind. The store was busy but he was able to pivot back and forth without missing a step; checking my equipment back in and taking care of all the customers. I'd definitely hire him if I ran a tavern or travel stop. It was pretty easy to park the truck and overall, I'd definitely recommend this pick up or drop off location. I didn't catch the young man's name. That is the only reason I mentioned he is Ethiopian. I love culture!!!Kandie K.

No touch Pickup process took longer as was asked 3 times and sent 3 times times the driver license back photo and then when tried to call was on hold for 20 min. Took 25 minutes to get into truck. Also had ordered a dolly and wasn't included and I had to request credit.Stephen H.

The truck smelled like smoke. Our reservation was made and confirmed for another location. At 4:30 am, I received an email stating that the location was changed, however, the hours were the same. When I got to the location, they did not have the truck available because they had the my rental hours wrong. I had to wait an hour for the truck to get there.JAMES H.

Original reservation location sent us to this location since there was no truck. I had even called original location to confirm the day before. Agent not ready for business upon arrival. Had to wait for him to show up. Paperwork said gas full but it was NOT. He refused to change paperwork and said his boss would fix it upon return. On return agent could not fix paperwork. Kept calling the boss. I had to talk with boss too. English was not proficient. It took over 45 to check out. A mess. He even wrote down the wrong mileage and we got charged extra. Too exhausted to go back and get it fixed. Paperwork still not correct. This whole experience was AWFUL. I called uhaul to complain a few times but was told they could only give us the $50 credit. I lost lots of time and had to pay movers for doing nothing since I did not have the truck. It was further away so I had to pay more miles. I cannot recommend using this location or UHUAL after treatment and lack of consideration for problemsCINDY A.

I was over charged. I'm not sure who put the numbers in the system for the mileage but it was wrong. I tried to explain to the manager at the store. Instead of her taking her time to listen she was very rude and had little customer service. As I was speaking to one of her employees she rudely interrupted what he was say and had him stop talking to be. I ask why she interrupted what he was say and she started yelling. They over charged me and I would like my money back. Worse experience ever. I been to this location before and never had a problem. I even recommend this location to friends. Please clean the cab. Ours was filthy, with cigarette ash in the cupholders, cigarette butts on the floor, trash and for some reason two bunches of bananas. The truck functioned well and was fueled up, but I had to take a shower after driving it.Christopher D.

The clerk was not very proficient. He could not make the system process the rental. After a 1/2 hour, he cancelled the reservation and created a brand new one. I was told that the mileage charge covered gas, but when I returned the van, I was charged extra for gas. The final cost was about $100 more than the estimate. Not a very professional operation. I will try someone other than U-Haul next time.stephen D.
