the location is the absolute worst, the lady who was attending us had no clue and wasted an hour befoe giving the keys. also, she reported wrong start and end time for the service and I had to go and request for the refund. Our reservation was set for 11am and when we arrived the clerk was shocked to find out we had a reservation booked for that time. She then proceeded to try to input my information (which I already did when I ordered it online) on her cellphone and could not complete the transaction. She called the person who deals with this stuff at that location all while ringing up her customers and making me stand around wasting my time. I was not a priority and it showed. It took 2 hours in total with MULTIPLE calls to uhaul main line who then transferred us to someone else who then was not helpful at all.. told me to sign up for an account, I don't need an account, I need the KEYS TO THE DAMN TRUCK THAT I ORDERED. Meanwhile the clerk took multiple photos of my drivers license with no success of allowing me to take the keys. We then called the man who the clerk was speaking to and no only was he RUDE, SARCASTIC and DISRESPECTFUL â€¦. He could not complete the job either. Are you kidding me? I didn't partner with uhaul, you did so do your damn job. Once we got connected to a gentleman at head office, he finally convinced the clerk to hand over the keys. He also mentioned that this location in particular gets constant complaints. UHAUL PLEASE PARTNER WITH PEOPLE WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING OTHERWISE YOUR NAME WILL HAVE A BAD RAP. Please consider pulling that partnership from that location. Moving is stressful and when there are only so many hours in a day, spending TWO HOURS during that day is NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!!!Stephany M.

We did not get the Furniture Dolly we booked, which took us more time than estimated to shift the stuff. Also, the U-haul was really dirty as shown and uploaded in the "Verification of equipment" link. Overall, it was not a good experience as it has been before.Azeem Singh K.

I arrived to pick up my truck and they told me flat out that the truck was not available. 2 trucks were sitting there but they insisted. I spent almost 2 hours on my cell phone trying to reach someone with sense before the store employee finally came out asking if I wanted to rent the truck I was parked beside. The location is not operating 24/7, we reached the place at 8.45pm (that is the time we got to book our van) and the supermarket closes at 9pm and had to talk to the supermarket's cashier in order to get the keys. We called customer service, they said 80 mins waiting time. Luckily we got to talk to a 'real person' at the supermarket only because we reached just in time and she sorted everything out. My feedback is that give the U-Haul rentals to a 24/7 operating organization like Farah's Food Mart or some place.Gautam K.

When I returned my rental to to this location, there was only a drop off box but no uhaul storefront. I went into the supermarket and a young girl met me and asked what I wanted. I told her about the rental return and she said just give me the key and I will take care of the paper work later. She did not give me any proper paper work nor did she inspect the rental at all. I found the experience unprofessional as it was managed by a young girl who looked like a teenager. She fraudulently reported the wrong return time and she added another charge that I was already billed when I picked up the rental. I found the whole experience suspect and would not recommend anyone to return the rental to this location.KONG C.

The mobile rental was not a good experience. The store owners were of little helpâ€¦just told me to phone uhAul. It took 30 minutes to talk to someone and 20 minutes to figure my issue out so that are up 50 Minton my rental time just to get the keys from the drop box. Returning it was a disaster as well, because my phone died just as I was trying to return itANDREW H.

This location is a grocery store run by teenagers who were not wearing masks or social distancing. The place had a strong chlorine smell which gave me a headache. The entire process was done on the girl's iPhone which because of covid I did not feel comfortable to hold her phone but she made me fill out stuff on her phone. the worst experience and I won't be renting a Uhaul in the futureBHAVNA B.
They did not have our vehicle ready when we went to pick it up for contactless pick-up. We were on the phone for 40 mins with customer service until they figured it out. This was after our first call to UHaul customer service and they hung up on us. Also, the odometer was 20km over than what was recorded. I noted that this was wrong before driving through the website, but we were still charged the extra 20km that we did not drive. I will probably not be using uHaul again.Charity N.
Very poor customer service, we had to pick up the vehicle at 12pm and we had to wait 40 mins for someone to come and give us the keys of the van. The van was dirty. At the time of the drop off we were not told us what to do and the app was not working. The customer reprs were not pick up the phone and after waiting 30 mins they hang up. I was charged for a bunch of overages and insurance, which I did not approve. The millage was charged as if I drove 180 miles, even though I only drove it in kilometers, so I was also over charged for that. The van was messy when I got it. It was clear no one had even done a sweep between customers. Overall, I was very dissatisfied with the overall process. The online checkin process was definitely not expressed and caused us a huge inconvenience. What we thought would be a quick pickup ended up being almost 30 mins. Once checked in on the app it told me I had to wait until 1PM to pick up the truck (which was scheduled for 9). So I had to go into the store (which I had not wanted to do because of COVID) and sister around while the cashier set me up for the truck. it was very inconvenient. I was not impressed. Would have been quicker for me to just Go in the store rather than waste my time on the express checkin. Even if I had to go in to the get the keys... the person inside STILL had to spend the time setting me up.Christianna A.

I was informed that i can drop equipment to any Brampton location and will get email with all the details but did not get any information. at Brampton location no one supports. Customer care took half an hour to connect and not get support. at last moment got informed that booked vehicle is not available. Got 137km allowed and at last got charged for extra km. worst experience ever.RAVI G.
This location is a grocery store. It is not well set up for truck rental. The staff was great about handling Uhaul screw-ups. I made my reservation a week in advance by phone having failed to get set up online. Your online system is hard to work with - some obvious options are not available. One day before pick-up the schedule was changed arbitrarily. I phone to confirmed the change. When I arrived, the van I rented was not available. I was offered a larger truck that cost more rent - higher gas and mileage charge. Your systems do not work. There was no credit for the extra gas I put in the truck (5/8 instead of 1/4 full. I do not fault the location. U-hauls over-promise and under-delivery is the problem. I recommend that people avoid using U-haul - the company is soulless.WILLIAMD R.

I opted out of the SafeMove add on, but U-Haul has billed me for it anyway. I want this charge removed. The folks at the pick up place were unable to help me return the truck when I returned. I was told I had to do everything online; that they simply could not help me take back the truck. I returned the truck during business hours when representatives were available. Not everyone has a big data plan on their phone, eh? I don't want to pay extra for the data to return the truck when someone is right there at the store! Then I get the bill saying what the charges are, and it includes the extra 15$ charge for coverage. I opted out of this! Why am I being billed this? Where does it say in any confirmation that I agreed to this? I can't talk to the people at the store; these people couldn't even take the keys back from me.Alexander B.

Main pickup was at Jamcan in Listowel. Employee was late to open the store. She discovered that the van assigned to me did not have keys. She chastised me for booking online because it made her life harder. I insisted she find me a van. She sent me 51km away (but got $50 off). The van I got was filthy. The drop off location cler commented on it and I told him that I had registered it as dirty. As well, it was not filled. I have 3/8 of a tank of gas owed to me by UHaul because I over filled it on return.DARYLLT F.

Truck roll-up door was jammed - roadside assistance service came about an hour later after our call to fix the issue. According to the technician, the rollers needed to be replaced. I do not know if that issue was related to a maintenance issue with that specific UHaul location. It would have been nice if some basic truck verification would have been done - such as at least trying to open the roll-up back door - to catch on an earlier defective equipment. That being said - when we picked up the truck, we did not try the door either.Johnny S.

rental location is fine app/pickup 24/7 experience is terrible, due to prior customer incorrectly turning in their vehicle i had to wait over an hour and a half before folks at this location were able to force the software to allow me to pick up the truck. Uhaul customer service and chat support was no help at all. Location staff were good but the overall uhaul experience was entirely awful and subpar.ERICMICHAEL C.

The attendant was arguing about additional fees. We were in Guelph Ontario and had to go to Waterloo Ontario to pick up the truck and he told me we are having to pay the mileage from Waterloo to Guelph. He then walked away and said he didn't care and will be in store. If we had a chance to get a truck elsewhere at that time we would have. All other times using Uhaul have been great.
