I booked a trailer in Denver months ago and ended up having to drive a total of 90 miles to pick up what I thought was going to be a quick pick-up... turned out a 2.5-hour exercise plus additional cost for fuel. The pickup location wasn't actually open during their published business hours so had to struggle to get the heavy trailer hooked up myself. The trailer lights didn't work because the trailer cable had partially disconnected from the connector. I ended up having to fix this myself since there was no help or other trailer available and I had a cross-country move planned (for months). Good thing I keep a toolbox in my car otherwise I would have been stuck with no help and no trailer.Patrick N.

Guy was super nice but the trailer was not there on time and caused a huge issue for us. Not his fault he was apologetic. On the other hand Uhaul should have offered me a discount. Due to the trailer not being there and the fact I had to drive an hour to get it I lost my moving help and still had to pay for it! Worst customer service ever! The location of the boxes to get the keys was upstairs near the front door not near the towl dispencer and we spent upward of 30 minutes trying to find it.Jim P.
Site operator unable to get from his home to work on my scheduled pickup day. Didn't answer the phone. Next day, he still was not able to get there, but he called me and told me to take the trailer if I could get it out. It was buried behind a 4' high snowplow bank. I solicited help from 4 volunteers at the Mobil 1 Oil Change center next door, and we dug out the trailer, and, because the area was still snow-covered, they also towed me out of the spot when hooked to the trailer. Jake was awesome. We went to pickup our truck early and Jake was there. He was checking the trucks and said "come on up and we'll get you going early". Everything was fine until Jake realized the computers and UHaul system wasn't working. Jake quickly figured out a way to get us going and we were off to move our son to college. Thanks Jake!Kelly D.

I got gas just across the street. Filled the tank to 5/8s. Just like I got it. The guy parked the truck on a little bit of an incline and your company charged me $24.00. This location was fine and the guy at the counter was super nice but... This location was much further away from my desired destination than I would have liked. I get it that with UHaul you choose your desired location and equipment then UHaul does its best to get the order as close as possible and with the most relevant piece of equipment as possible but this was ridiculous. The trailer was bigger and cost me more money in gas for the trip, the location was far away in the mountains from where I was staying, and the people I spoke to on the phone the day before I picked up my trailer were rude and seemingly put off by my call. The people I spoke to acted as if I was an idiot and tried to explain the process to me like I was a kindergartner. To be honest, if Uhaul didn't have a monopoly on the trailer rental market there is NO WAY IN HELL I would use the company.Michael K.

The gentleman at the desk was one of the best customer service reps I have experienced at UHAUL, and I've rented a LOT. Thank you for the complimentary moving blanket, for going over the check-in process with me and personally showing me the truck, key drop area, explaining where to park and asking if if I had any questions before I left.. They didn't have the vehicle I reserved. The system let me reserve a 20' truck for this location, but when we got to pickup, the agent told us he didn't have one. We then asked for a 26', which he said he had. He then finished the paperwork, handed us the keys, and walked out the door since it was closing time. When we got to the truck, it was a 17' truck. Luckily that worked for our needs, but it could have been a big problem. My paperwork shows the 20' reservation. Mobile checkin was very efficient since we returned the truck after hours. That part was appreciated.Mike S.

I estimated 100 miles when I made the reservation. I paid for the vehicle when I showed up. I was charged for the 100 mile estimate. I drove the vehicle about 70 miles. I was not credited back any money. I paid approximately $30 more than necessary. Very disappointing experience.Alan C.

Explain they will be billed and charged based on an estimate NOT the actual cost of the rental. My bank account shows a completed transaction for $108, when my actual bill the representative showed me was/is $77.33. So now I have to follow up and be sure I'm refunded and charged correctly. Brake fluid showed a leak. There was no gasket on brake fluid cap. By the time I returned the trailer in Bozeman they determined there was no brake fluid. I do not believe we had brakes for last part of trip. The gents at the pickup place were nice, but trailer was not really road worthy.Roger L.

The truck tow was not hooked up properly. We were told once we returned it almost 1000 miles away that we are lucky to have made it because they hooked the tow up incorrectly. That is absolutely terrifying! On top of this the truck was not clean. We were told it was detailed, but it had fried chicken crumbs everywhere. We had to deep clean it ourselves before getting in the truck. Especially with the risk of COVID 19.Tyler W.
The mobile app did not work well at this location and even though the system said I was ready to take the truck the process did not truly finish. Because if this I was unable to return the truck and I was charged over twice what I was originally quoted. I will be disputing the charges first with the location, then with U-Haul and if I don't get charged the correct amount I will dispute the charges with my credit card company.William F.
