The latch on the back door would not close after loading our items, we called the location for assistance and told he was at lunch and getting a haircut. 100% serious. We had to drive 2 miles with the back open and wait for the gentleman to return from his lunch and fix it with a crowbar. Horrible experience!!!JOHN R.
The rental process was a disaster. I realize that there are many points of failure and some problems can be the fault of other things outside of Uhaul's influence, such as a person's phone. My phone is brand new, so it is an up to date OS and a newly downloaded Uhaul app. It took about 50 minutes to self-checkout. While my location services work in other apps, such as Google Maps, U-Haul repeatedly told me it didn't work. Scanning the site bar code failed as well, as did the follow-up option of taking a picture. I restarted my phone and finally got to the point where the app allowed me to take a picture of my face successfully, but then stopped working when I next had to take a picture of my license. Online chat couldn't help and gave me a phone number to call. The lady I spoke to told me online chat was supposed to help me, not her. Thankfully she helped me, and I followed her advice to not use the app but use a browser instead. I honestly don't recall how smoothly that operated now, it's hard to remember all the failures, We finally got to the point where it showed the location on the lot where the vehicle SHOULD have been, but it wasn't. I tracked it down ith the ID U-Haul puts on the vehicles. What a mess, and what a waste of my valuable time during a move. And the return? An utter failure. The app didn't work. The browser didn't work. I just had to leave the vehicle and the keys and go away wondering how I would prove the return time. I don't know what options there are other than U-Haul, but I would warn friends away from this abysmal process.Mark D.

The man I picked up from and the man I returned to were both extremely rude and unprofessional. To top it off, neither were wearing masks. The man I picked up from was 15 minutes late for my pickup. The inside of the UHaul was dirty and sticky. Very unhappy.Vincent F.

This is NOT the locations fault, which is why I still gave them a good review but the whole experience with the self pick up and drop off with the app was terrible. It was confusing and the app did not work correctly with the location services. When I called customer service they were ABSOLUTELY NO HELP. After waiting for a long time on hold they were not able to assist me AND told me I would be charged an extra $20 because the app did not work correctly. We understand how to turn on location services on our phone and it was insulting that the representative continued to say that we must be doing something wrong. Also, the items that we requested to help move such as the furniture pads and dolly were not in the vehicle.Gary H.
The 2 gentlemen at this location were very nice and the Van was available for use, I did notice the back of truck was dirty when I inspected prior to leaving and personnel cleaned the inside of Van quickly and I did not experience any delay. I was very pleased with the rental process..Piera G.
My reservation for a motorcycle trailer was at 3pm. I arrived early around 2:30pm. because following instructions it said that my vehicle would have to be inspected (able to tow safely). The lady at the gas station register said that she does not handle any of the Uhaul reservations and that "they were out to lunch." So I waited, not until 3:15pm did someone return and was able to handle my reservation. Gentleman was polite and helpful but please I was a bit short for time (had to meet someone for the motorcycle sale etc.) Not saying it's his fault but at least have someone that could help me at the reserved time. Otherwise the equipment worked with no problems or issues.Jerome H.

This was a terrible experience. Checking in was tedious, the owner was rude and not helpful. The truck was in terrible shape. We did not receive the furniture dolly that we paid for. I don't expect anything amazing from Uhaul, but this was truly a nightmare.Eric A.

I told him about the alignment issue and I brought it back with more gas and I was still charged $54 for bringing it back late. I understand you are a business running on set systems but a little discretion at times would help. Anyway, it was a pretty easy drop off which is most important to me.andrew M.

I dropped off truck Sunday night at 6::30pm after hours, a women came out told me where to park took keys and said I am all good. Then I got a charge Monday morning for another day of $40. Tried calling uhaul customer services and never spoke to anyone. Would really like my $40 refunded!ANDREW C.
Truck was blocked in when I went to pick it up. Had phone pick up. Truck should have been parked so it would not have been able to get blocked. Had to wait 45 minutes until employee arrived to open shop to move other truck that was blocking my rental. Exterior and interior of truck was not very clean upon rental.David M.

The store owner of this location completely fabricated an â€œaccidentâ€ that happened on his property. When prompted, owner would not allow police to be called or any photos to be taken. He is very clearly trying to extort customers for his own personal gain. I would never use this location again. It reflects poorly on uhaul just how awful the personnel at this location are. After dealing with him for 30 minutes and getting my lawyer at the location (all while other friends of the owners were laughing and egging him on), he finally said he would submit a report to U-haul. Worst experience I've ever had renting from U-haul. I will be using another company for my next move and will be telling others not to use U-Haul as well.Daniel H.
Our experience was horrible we paid in advance over 1400.00 the general manager at the location at 52nd in kenosha wi did advise us that location may not have our equipment ,BUT DID ASSURE US THAT WE WOULD NOT HAVE DRIVE MORE THEN 20 MILES .... day before we got a call from corporate office spokesman with TIERRHA , she said we would have to drive 48 miles INTO ANOTHER STATE TO GET OUR TRUCK, SHE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO HELP AT ALL ONLY THING WAS SHE COMPED US 100 MILES .... which the same general manager told us we would have UNLIMITED MILES .... we hired movers we had to pay 2 days for .... when we budgeted to only pay them one day ... also put our entire trip back because of the distance of location of truck ... we paid WEEKS in advance so I feel a truck should have been held at a closer location, on drop off we rerouted to 3 different locations because they kept stating we could only leave truck and NOT CAR TRALIOR... WHEN WE FINALLY GOT A LOCATION A MINOR 17 YEAR OLD GREETED US RUDELY TOLD MY HUSBAND WE CAN NOT LEAVE THE TRUCK ... AND STARTER AN ARGUMENT ... I WAS TOLD HE WAS PUTTING ME ON THE NO RENTAL LIST.... AND WAS MAD WE DID NOT PERSONALLY CALL HIM TO TELL HIM WE DROPPING OFF TRuck ....communication between dealers and corporate is nonexistent.... I would never use uhaul EVER AGAIN ... or reccomend them to ANYONE ... I HAVE 50K FOLLOWERS ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND I WILL MAKE SURE LET EVERYONE KNOW MY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WE HAD ..... NEXT TIME I WILL PAY THE EXTRA 100# AND TAKE MY BUSINESS TO PENSKE. DIFINITLY WILL BE WORTH IT NOT TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE HEADACHE ...TAMARA F.

This is a gas station location and very hard to maneuver the large U-Haul truck through the station to a parking area that was insufficient for the size of the truck. The personnel were courteous enough, they just didn't seem like they were ready for the return and I walked away feeling like we were a hassle to them.sherry T.

I know I received a text that went through the drop off procedure but I didn't see the text due to the fact I was buy moving etc. This information would have been good to have been informed about when I picked up the truck from the rental location. Besides dropping they keys in the drop box and where to park the truck there was not discussion beyond that.Letting me know I would receive a text would be helpful. Beyond that the pick up was very smooth and I would return to this location.William G.

The store was supposed to be open until 1pm. I booked my truck for 12:45pm and showed up around 12:15pm. Nobody from UHaul was there working. I called customer service and they were able to track down the field manager. The field manager said the workers left early. I would have expected a phone call because they knew they had a reservation at that time. Luckily, they were able to change my reservation to a mobile entry and I was able to get into the car. However, it was extremely unnecessary and quite aggravating. I would not recommend this location to anyone. Very unprofessional.Bryan I.
