He was of great assistance in helping me where to navigate my vehicle in order to disconnect the trailer. I could not have done it without his assistance and directions. He was very professional and helpful. I have used Lazy Chimp before and have nothing to say about them but positive things for their performance. They are first rate!
DONALD O.Clean the windshield of dirt and bugs. Fill the windshield washer reservoir with wash fluid. The gentleman who runs the Lazy Chimp location was very helpful and courteous. When I discovered the hand truck I rented was not in the truck as stated in the instructions I was able to retrieve from the operator. Since the cargo door was not locked I could understand the equipment being in a secure location. No problem just would have been nice to know.

Kevin B.1. I rented at one place received a call to pick it up at another place which of course is further away from where I was going so guess who paid for the gas. 2. The new place to pick up the Uhaul didn't open up til 11:30 so delayed the whole day 3. The app to get the key didn't work and who wants to waste 45 m figuring out 4 lot of hidden cost I should have just paid $129 less hassle at Home Depot So in the end I recommend to all friends and family to not rent from Uhaul and in my case would have saved $50 and a lot less frustration

Jonathan M.I gave an average rating because the use of the truck worked out. It's the whole process up to actually getting the keys was very frustrating. Made reservation at one address, and getting confirmation of another address so that messed up the pick up process. There's a video for return but none for self pick up. Got a message to call back to confirm reservation, tried 5 times and call always got dropped when connecting to agent. It took an hour and a half to finally pick up truck through online self pick up.

Sean M.You should let renters know to come 15minutes earlier to ensure they remain on schedule. When providing the key code to the lock box, list the license plate number so you dont have to walk back towards the car. This was a great experience that I've never tried before at a uhual. I'd definitely do this again.
Matthew A.Check in process was exrtremely cumbersome, with the need to identify 2 contacts to call before I could get the equipment. Why can't all of the vetting happen ahead of time, with a credit check or other checks happening before showing up to get equipment?
Robert S.Truck was filthy in the cab and in the back. Dirt all over the floor in the back. In the cabin there was chicken crumbs. The steering wheel felt sticky and gross. No windshield wiper fluid. Just a horribly disgusting truck. But I had no other choice.

JEREMIAS P.I like picking up here but twice this week when checking in online, my key was not in the box where the not said it would be. The SECOND time there was no one at the location to help and I was on hold with 1-800 u-haul for 22 minutes with no answer. That is completely unacceptable.

Lost over 40 minutes of my 3-hour rental between checking in and receiving my van keys. I ordered the rental online. Next time I would make the order in-person.
Brendan L.The pickup and drop off locations were fine. My only issue were the constant calls from the call center while I rented the trailer. Even after I dropped the trailer I still received a call... I understand U-Haul is cracking down on loss prevention, but perhaps the calls could start after the delivery due date. The pickup location already verified my information and authorized completion of the contract. The calls were very inconvenient and disrupted my time while in transit.

Heather G.I am not sure if it was Lazy Chimps fault, or just the Website, but I could not associate the ride on the app after I made the request through Lazy Chimp. I needed to speak with customer service six times (including 2 transfers) over two days - 7 if you count one failed transfer. I eventually picked up the truck with the assistance of a manager (I believe). I had to wIt an average of 14 minutes for each call. It was a very negative experience.

David H.The trailer unit had a leak and some of my property was damaged due to the rain water that pooled into the corner. I was also very displeased that i had to drive around to multiple places in chicago to even get a trailer considering i booked the trailer online well over a month prior. This is not a locational issue, this is a corporate issue.
kevin J.I needed to use vehicle prior to location opening. Location manager (T. K.) suggested I use self-checkout with app. App would not retrieve my order. Called customer service. A lovely woman named Linda tried for 30 minutes (after 20-minute hold) to assist me while getting e-mail guidance from tech support. Nothing worked. Had to wait until 11:00 for location to open when I wanted vehicle at 8:30. Called customer service to request rental cost adjustment. A man named Alex quickly facilitated a $50 credit. Bottom line: Great people; lousy systems.
Chris T.Overall the vehicle seemed clean. We did find a couple of partially drank water bottles in the back of the van, that, obviously, had been overlooked, making us wonder how clean the vehicle actually was. The location was very close to our house, which made it very convenient. The online checkout/pickup process was a little glitchy and tedious. Was wishing a live person would have been at the location to handle the rental, but, when it was all said and done, it was really not that difficult, we just didn't realize until the day we were picking it up, that we had to do it that way. An email was sent, but it went to our junk mail.

victor K.The dashboard and the seat controls in the truck were sticky from something. That would be my only criticism. Clean the trucks inside after each use especially during a pandemic. That was disgusting and disappointing

ALAN E.The tires on the truck were bald and they slide around on the road. Also there was nothing to remove the snow from the windows. The area around the truck wasn't plowed or shoveled and so you had to step in a foot of snow to get into the truck. The truck itself was clean. The directions on how to rent and return the truck were terrible. The Uhaul website page was very difficult to navigate and not easy to follow until you got to the right spot. Trying to call and get someone to help by phone was also very challenging. I appreciate being able to rent the truck, but the overall experience of renting was extremely disappointing.
