Arrived at confirmed location in London Ky. Clerk had no record of reservation and basically turned me away making it my problem. Apparently reservation was recorded wrong in Uhaul system for another location in town down the street. After finding my confirmation again on my phone I returned to the confirmed location. I listened to the same clerk's personal phone call for 4-5 minutes as he ordered his lunch through a friend. I then asked that he call Uhaul to straighten it out. He reluctantly did and then realized the mistake. Embarking on a three day nightmare move for an aged relative, I did not need the grief I got on pickup.

Will not recommend U-Haul, in fact will use social media to share the frustrating and terrible experience. Not by the dealer but the inefficient system.

The new return process is terrible. I miss the days of just dropping the truck off and letting the rental location check in everything. It was pouring the rain and cold. I was soaking wet by the time I got finished.

Both the location in London the guys there were so helpful. We had our trailer stolen from hotel Comfort Suites in London and had to rent one to get our side by side back home. Thank you guys so much.

The air conditioner blew hot air in temperatures over 90 degrees. I asked for a 20 foot truck and got a 10 foot. I was told to drop off the truck at any uhaul place and was yelled at because I had left it at the wrong place. The uhaul representative who yelled at me also hang up on me before I could explain. Very rude and unprofessional.

Well where to start the person I talked to from the uhaul web site told me I could pick up the truck on 4/29 at 8am and well I got a text message that said I'd would have to wait until 12 pm to pick it up so I called the place where I got the uhaul from and they fixed it .... I would not have been lied to ... and the person from the uhaul web site said that some one would be getting back with me to set the reservation. Up it seemed shady as he'll it's a bad practice to have you consumers loose trust in what people say and as far as the place I picked it up from they where nice as can be... however the place smells. And not good... and the truck it needs to be serviced bad it would shimmy going down the road ad 50 mph I've gotten trucks from you guys for along time and this was the first time that I got a hold of a bad truck

Explain cleaning process. Was not aware I had to mop the back of the uhaul, barely a couple of footprints in the back and you'll have a cleaning charge.

Employees could use training on correct trailer hook-up on different towing platforms. I use a drop hitch system on my pick-up when towing none gooseneck or 5th wheel. Employee insisted on connecting chains, which instead of clipping them, he pulled them through the holes on my draw bar, then pulled them tight against the drop down portion of my hitch. I adjusted them myself to the correct (slack) position in order to be able to make turns without damage to hitch (frame mount) draw bar. While adjusting the tow chains, I also found that he had hooked the break away system chain to the tow chains and not the truck, rendering the break away system useless. Persons renting equipment who do not tow trailers on a regular basis should take time to familiarize themselves on correct and safe trailer hook up and operation and verify for themselves. Break away systems can save lives in the event of a failure in the hitch, second DOT will ticket for failure to properly (safely) tow.

We had to clean pieces of concrete out of the trailer before we could use it. We had to use lubricant and a pipe wrench to tighten the knob on the hitch.
