The truck was dirty when I picked it up... Winshield with bugs all over it...crap on the floor and in the truck itself. When I returned the truck...I was charged an additional $25 cleaning fee...even though I cleaned out the truck better than I received it....! The owner would not take off the cleaning fee... He showed me pictures of another truck and the dirt that wasnt there... AWEFUL location.....AWEFUL service.... When I picked up the truck, the windshield had bugs all over it and trash was under the seat. It was obvious tht it was not cleaned. Upon starting the engine, there was a loud clicking noise that is indictive of an exhaust leak. The exhaust leak noise continued throughout the trip. While driving the truck from Longmont, Colorado to Austin, Texas the door had very loud road noise coming from the drivers side door. It appeared that the driver door seal was bad. Then, while driving, it began to rain and water came through the driver door. The agent at the U-Haul location was nice, but we were disappointed to be given a truck in that condition for a 900+ mile trip.ROBERT R.

Ok! This might be the best representation of U-Haul, this really rude â€œgentlemanâ€ (Alberto Quiroz) yelled at me and hung up the phone like 5 times when I called him to ask for all this extra charges on my credit card. Really sad and deplorable costumer service offered by this human being.Hector E.
This is a third party contracted company by U-Haul. When calling to verify the truck rental the company wouldn't guarantee the truck would be ready and available and saidâ€ lots can happen before you pick up the truckâ€â€¦ with movers booked, apartment contracts canceled and a new home purchased out of state, incompetents is the last thing you want to hear. I recommend exploring other companies before choosing U-Haul. Last of all, the truck was poorly maintained, dirty, and barely made it to the final destinationâ€¦.LUZMILA R.

The Longmont location was great however, our original pickup location (-Haul Moving & Storage of the Mile High City 7540 York St Denver, CO 80229) was nothing short of a nightmare. We arrived to pick up our truck, admittedly early because when I called uhaul I was told I could do this and was told my moving truck was not there. Apparently the person using my truck just did not return it and when called, the other customer said they wouldn't return it until the next day. The manager at the York St location was one or the rudest people I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. He essentially told me my truck wasn't there and I needed to call Traffic Department to get a new location. He was flippant and abrasive and I left very upset with him telling me "There's nothing I can do." Also calling Traffic resulted in a rep telling me the closest pickup to me was 4 hours away. Thank goodness I received a call back from Traffic letting me know they had a truck that was not 4 hours away magically. My pickup and reservation was completely unacceptable other than the actual Longmont location. As a whole, the experience with the York street location's manager has made me no longer want to utilize uhaul for future moving and storage needs.Jason D.

The first place I was scheduled at, off 3rd & Boston, was run by a terrific guy! He was so kind & hospitable! The place I ended up getting the truck from was also a car dealership. There were 3-4 grown men sitting around with their feet on a coffee table but yet my truck wasn't even looked at. Not swept or even opened up, trash/dirty rags inside, bugs all over the front, dirty windows, dog hair throughout, & only half a tank of gas. I tried to do the "before you go" thing on my phone but it wouldn't upload the pics & then timed out. But, I was happy to have a truck regardless.ADRIAN N.
The employee was apologetic and upset for us after hearing about what the employee at our pickup location had said, and let us know that they are supposed to ask about mileage. She tried getting in touch with customer support for us, but they were just as unhelpful. This location was great, but our overall experience with uhaul has been exhausting, frustrating, and way more expensive than we had originally thought.Hannah B.
The woman who rented out and my the truck was very polite and friendly. She understood my dilemma of having to drive from Northern Loveland to Southern Longmont when I had reserved my truck two months ahead of time. I could have been told this on the phone when making the reservation.MARCIA L.
Give more heads up when changing locations. I had to find a ride to a much further location with less than 1 day of notice. Also, maintain your equipment. The moving blankets were wet (mostly un-usable) and the truck was in poor condition. There was broken glass and soot inside. We had to clean the truck before we could even use it. I also had to wait for the location to open because the pick up got changed to in person instead of through the app.MEGAN K.

Truck was full of dead bugs on windshield, cab was full of dog hair , when we picked it up , will not recommend or use uhaul again . Cost over 900 should have been clean and ready to go . Store reeked of smoke .TIMOTHY N.

Reserved truck at a specific location and was told to go to a different location with no prior notice. When I received the truck the rest door was stuck shut. I had to drive it back to the store and get a new truck and the rear door was stuck shut as well. I then had to drive to another store to get help opening it. The trailer I was given had no working driver tail light, and had an almost 2 inch deep cut in the tire (have picture) the 2 workers who helped me didn't help much, to their credit at least tried calling another Uhaul to see if they had another trailer. I really needed this on that day and they basically told me take it or leave it. I'm frankly amazed that I didn't get pulled over or have the tire blow out on meMacallister G.

One of the tires was almost flat. Instead of providing a different truck, the location put air in the tire. Fortunately, I stayed in town the first night because the tire was flat again the next morning. The gentleman who came to change the tire was great, very friendly and did the job quickly. The pick up location should have provided a different vehicle, especially since I was driving 900+ miles with this vehicle.Kristen H.

I rented a truck for 29.99 for 4 days. I was not aware that there were alot of extra charges. I thought it would be around 185.00 at the end. instead it was 270.00 which was a shock. if there has been a mistake in my billing . I was very disappointed, these fees should be explained at the time of rental. with an estimate of true cost. I borrowed money so my bank account wouldn't be over drawn.Melanie S.
U-Haul is impossible to contact on the phone - over 30 minutes on hold. You can get to live chat if you scroll to the bottom of the website and open 'contact' - not an obvious link like customer friendly web sites. U-haul customer support was pretty horrible from corporate. Local folks were great.James M.

For being new, you'd think they would care just a bit more. We have a pandemic going on - no masks... even though that's the order in Colorado. Ordered 3 dozen blankets - they had 10. The uhaul truck stunk like cigarettes and it should have been retired. The steering column was completely whacked. Unimpressed is an understatement.Diane K.

Average location with average customer service. I told the lady who was helping me about the mileage and told her the Fargo location never told me about the mileage I need to stay under and she said â€œoh you'll just be billed for thatâ€.
