I rented a uhaul to drive from Charlotte to Isle of Palms. I moved a king mattress and a bed frame and head board. For some INSANE reason they charged me $27.00 for a cleaning fee of the truck. That is complete BS. I removed ALL of the trash from the van when I turned it in. The only thing in the cargo space was the 10 blankets that I rented which I did NOT fold up and stack in a corner when I dropped off the truck. WHY WAS I CHARGED A CLEANING FEE???? I've rented MANY Uhauls over the years and I have NEVER been charged this stupid fee. BAD FORM UHAUL!!! Absolutely horrible customer service!!! You turned a great experience into a greedy negative experience. Very sad!

I do not understand why there were two employees at the location and they both had to take their lunch at the same time, so there was no one to help return the vehicle. The on-line return was lengthy and not very easy.

The parking is very tight. We had to sit on the road to wait for the trailer to be connected to our truck. This really needs to be somewhere with more space. The people were helpful and courteous.

Parking is a bit tight on the hill where the trucks are stored. Real tight if a truck from a local biz is parked at the entrance to said truck parking hill. Outside of that y'all are the best in the Lowcountry.

Location is spread out but easily navigated. Vehicle was parked to rear of other trucks. Took a minute to find it. Overall the whole experience was very easy. I was charged for an extra day, as I used and dropped it off on a Saturday but they listed it as Sunday. Stopped in and issue was immediately rectified. All staff, several I dealt with were pleasant and courteous. Thank you

There was no where to park the truck when I got back, and was also charged a $20 after-hours fee even though I was told I had to have it back at a specific time.

The U-Haul app was very frustrating to use. It doesn't make sense to login and start the pickup process only to have to login again. The app would also have network or timeout issues. I finally gave up and waited for the office to open to get the truck putting me an hour off schedule.

The location of the truck was wrong. The picture of where to find the truck was wrong. Spoke to the manager evan, he was rude and refused to solve my issue, stating call uhaul I'm not doing anything for you.so I hung up on him, no need to keep talking after that comment.

The tow dolly was severely damaged and should never have been rented out. The fenders were bent and actually rubbing the tires. When I told the attendant I would not take that he said it was up to me to find another at a different location. He actually said" well if something happens, you have insurance." Unbelievable!!!!

We couldn't ever get a live person on the phone. We had questions about the drop-off for which we had to show up. Thankfully we ultimately did not need to discuss the matter with anyone ahead of the drop.

I dropped the truck off on the 13th at 12232 little road—the day after I rented it. We didn't find anyone on the property until my sister honked the horn. He started the truck and left it running. He said it would cost 20.00 to give me a receipt. Later I found a charge on my credit card of 42.00 for returning the truck on the 15th. Do not use this dealership unless you are ready to get ripped off

I reserved the truck 2 days earlier and when I went to pick it up the truck was way back in a back lot and I had to carry the dolly I had rented all the way back there in a downpour. The gasket around the drivers door was loose so that rain was coming in. I replaced that gasket very easily.

I ordered both a utility dolly and furniture sliders and got neither. I called with a non urgent question and never got a call back. The staff had no idea what the overage cost would be for mileage when I asked and didn't seem to know or care about how to find such info.

Reserved equipment to move along with truck but equipment wasn't there. I found out it is first come first serve at the location which was not shared beforehand. I had to drive to another location and rent them again before I could start my move.

The truck was clean, but the passenger side mirror made for a very stressful trip. As soon as we got it on the highway and went over a bump, the mirror turned to make it so we could not see traffic on the right. We tried to fix it, but the mirror was so loose it would not stay put. It kept swinging. Traffic was not visible on the right for 1,000 miles. We had to call the person following us to let us know if we could switch lanes every single time. We also went through a rain storm and there was a leak in the truck. All my belongings and boxes in “mom's attic” got wet. The truck should have never been allowed out on the road with these issues. Not worth all the money I spent.

While this location and the people who work there are quite good, an essential piece of equipment, appliance dolly which was reserved and paid for, was not available when we picked up the truck. We called UHaul and after a very long wait on hold were told that there was not another appliance dolly within 50 miles. They also told us that the Charleson UHaul manager would call us back to see if there was any help. This NEVER happened. I am extremely dissapointed with UHaul!!!! We drove over 110 miles to pick up the equipment which was OVERBOOKED. I could have rented one local to where I live if I had know there was not one available in the Charleston area. I am going to look elsewhere for any future moving equpment rental.

I made the reservation through the website 10 days prior to the reservation. In that 10 days I repeatedly had to contact U-haul by phone because they could not get the locations correct or the truck size I needed. The pick-up went smoothly until I realized that the the equipment I reserved wasn't in the truck. It was a very frustrating experience. Although I will say that all the representatives I spoke to on the were kind and professional, for some reason they just could not input my needs correctly.
