The offsite option honestly stunk. We made the booking through the phone and they didn't tell us it was a random location and it would be self serve. We wasted a lot of time on the app just to get started. Then returning was shockingly difficult. I regret using the service and wish I hadn't spent the money.

Made a reservation. Showed up at the appointed time. Office was closed. Tried the online check-in and there was no option to do the online check-in. Called a customer service agent and waited on hold for about 15 minutes. Agent had to do the check-in on our behalf. Finally got access to the van about an hour after the reservation time. Wasted my time and others who was helping with the move. When we asked about the U-Haul Reservation Guarantee, the agent tried to tell us that one doesn't exist. Online app for pickup and drop off doesn't work on phone. Only option to drop off vehicle and get code to open key drop box was to wait on phone for an hour with customer service (almost missed my flight because of this). I asked that I be called before my credit card was charged when the location opened up on the Monday, since I needed to pay for the rental on a different credit card. I was assured this would happen. It didn't. No call. Charge put on wrong card. No explanation as to why this happened when I called. No explanation as to why the app doesn't work either. Terrible process for such a large company!

They don’t check the cargo vans, we had to change the van after 30 minutes when we realized that the seatbelt was stuck around the chair and we also lost time

They mentioned close at 8 pm at Friday and I called them before I left to drop of and he confirm to come as they are open ????? Once been there nobody there also nobody pick up the phone . There are no key drop box just box with code lock ?????? Really bad experience

The location and the people were excellent. UHaul web and text notifications were substandard and that experience was deeply frustrating. It was also unreasonably expensive for a four hour rental.

The self check in procedure is unnecessarily complicated. Why do I have to enter the odometer and take a picture? Why do I have to take a picture of where I parked it if you have my location shared in the browser? Why do I have to take two pictures of the inside? What is magical about two pictures compared to one or three or 726?
