We booked a trailer in Tillsonburg at a u haul location. The operators do not speak proper english nor understand it. Total loss of time booking and never had a trailer we wanted after she said we would. A friend helped us rent one from the Delhi location. Well spoken english to boot.steve G.

My only issue has nothing to do with the dealer himself just the company and website. Advise of extra costs prior to rental on the website. I was expecting 24.95 plus tax but there were extra fees attached for insurance that I wasnt expecting so paying almost 60 bucks for a 5 min drive to move a motorcycle wasnt worth it.Lindsey T.

The area was difficult to find, not very good signage but once the driveway was found it was shovelled. The only other note would be zero lighting in the area.. with it being on a country road it was very dark.ROBERT M.

My new bill is $1,427.08 more the quoted? 4 breakdowns, $5,000 lost in furniture, 1 hour to fix seat belts, 3 hours waiting for Uhaul computer to come up, 1and 1/2 hour for mechanic to come with all breakdowns, 3 nights getting to destination at 3 or 2am instead of planned 5 or 7pm arrivals 3 nights in a row. Uhaul said they would pay for motel, not yet, all 3 should be paid for. Paid Uhaul $380.95 for professional to pack truck proper. When switching truck lost the $5000 quoted above when packed improper by Uhaul people who put my furniture in their trucks afterward. Cannot say I blame them. Brakes were not fixed proper by mechanic as light and dinging went on and off for a couple days. 16 year old truck to go across Canada. It has been a NIGHTMARE. Thank you. Keith Needham.Keith N.

Have a more convenient pick up location that is close to starting point for customer, ensure someone is waiting for then at pick up so they don't have to wait an extra 30 minutes after driving am hour. Ensure the truck is not leaking so if it rains their boxes don't get wet !!Nicole A.

This location is an old run down mechanic garage. The operator took through scary garage to small office at back and I did not feel safe. Then he could not find reservation or work the visa machine. Truck bed was filthy with soil and stunk of marijuana.Ben B.
Location had no dolly/cart/furniture pads/blankets... Also the fellow was a great person, but not so good with computers. I am quite certain I was charged extra for things I did not use, or did not receive.Dan K.

This Uhaul location should be closed immediately! After reading the reviews now I should have never gone to this place! Where do I start, firstly I never write reviews so this is new for me, but I had to as this was a horrible experience and I want to make sure no one else has to go through this. Upon arrival, no one was there, I knocked on the house next door, called the number provided on my confirmation and then saw another number on the side garage door. Called that number which he answered and came out 10 minutes later (10 mins after my pick-up time). The gentleman was miserable, had no idea how to use a computer, asked me to type my own information (even though I booked and paid online already but he didn't know how to locate his log/email) and when his keyboard didn't work he swore and slammed it against the desk. He then called uhaul to have the customer service agent complete my order (actually he passed me the phone and I needed to complete my own order). All of this set us back 45 mins. Then he would not move a uhual moving truck out of the way to get to the trailer we were trying to hook up, he then proceeded to tell me that my husband did not know how to back up our own truck to put the trailer hitch on. All to say....uhual should not have locations open that don't know any customer service or how to use simple programs. I would NEVER use this location again!Heidi M.
The owner needs more training on how to operate a computer. Seriously. He can barely navigate Windows or the UHaul website, and couldn't produce a printed copy of my contract. An hour later I got three emails in 4 minutes with the contract, and my Visa was charged 2x for the rental. The rental was fine and he helped me hook up the trailer - but the last mile experience needs work.Paul N.

I rented it from Wednesday to Saturday, and Friday night I was contacted to bring it back early. I had it till 930 Saturday morning and at 830 I was contacted again asking where the truck was. I didn't appreciate being bothered when I rented the truck for a set date and time, also there was a sticker in the truck saying about a 25$ refund if blankets were folded and the truck was swept. I wasn't informed of any blankets to even use, but I did sweep the truck out and wasn't refunded anything.adam S.
we ordered a u haul for a specific time in a specific location so we could have the easiest move possible, however a day before the move the time was set back 2 hours and the location changed by some distance. when we called in to ask why and if we could change it back so we could arrive at our destination on time we were scolded by customer service and told we couldn't do anything about this change. we arrived late to our move and held up our service elevator past the time we asked for because of this. I was completely dissatisfied with the service I got and will be avoiding renting a u haul in the future for fear it will completely ruin our moving plans. drop off location in Kingston was well run and professional.Jason M.

I was supposed to pick up a truck in Jarvis but they didn't have the right size so I tried Simcoe but ended up going to Delhi for it. The guy called me really early moving day and asked if we could come later in the day which we couldn't and his response was "we;ll see what happens then". He also woke me up.dawn S.

Reserved a trailer 6x12 guaranteed it was going to be there for pickup on Saturday. Showed up no trailer, error made by the company. I had to take a 15 ft truck @ $19.95 plus .39 a mile/km which by rights I should have gotten the truck with no mileage for the same price as the trailer since the mistake was done by UHaul. The closest trailer was in Fergus which would been another 2 hours by time I drove up and back to get a trailer due. If you are guaranteeing that you have equipment available and can not deliver nor call the person by rights should give the customer at the same price a pce of equipment that will do the same job. Never again will I use UHAULdan C.

Keep your location drop-off locations current. We set up to drop off at Norwich (on our paperwork) but once there found noUHaul facility there. Apparently indefinitely closed. After numerous phone calls, on our part, we were advised we had to take truck to another location 25 kilometres away which was very inconvenient. Not happy with the drop off experience at all. It caused way more stress than convenience! This involved two other drivers and vehicles, as well as the rental truck.Edith G.

Know where your trucks are so I don't have to drive out of my way at the last minute to pick up a larger truck that I didn't need and that ate up so much more gas....I ordered from Paris and you sent me an e-mail the day before i was to pick it up that I needed to go to Delhi, but because I worked late that day I didn't find this out until the day I was to pick it up, which made me even later for work. place where I picked up the truck on Brantford Rd., Delhi,ON, was an old, filthy garage with no heat ! The truck required adding power steering fluid before I left and it handled like it was still low, therefore no proper maintenance was done prior to it being rented. I had gone to a U-Haul depot in Delhi 3 times trying to booked this truck and had to book it via phone. When I arrived to pick up the truck, the agent was NOT able to print off a contract using his computer & had to call U-haul and I rebooked it over the phone. I have used U-haul services before, most recently from Milton,ON but I will NOT use this service again.Ed Y.

Lorence's Auto Service was great to deal with. Our original pickup was a mess- thanks to U-haul's bad service and system (we now know U-haul's 'confirmation' is not much to rely on), and the terribleness that is Bender's in St. Williams, but Lorence's Auto was amazing. He was quick, pleasant, and understanding. A real pleasure to interact with and highly recommended. If only all the locations could be as great as Lorence's Auto, and if only a reservation and confirmation meant something, then U-haul would be amazing!Jeffery V.
