I first had a reservation in metter Georgia. We drove from soperton Georgia to metter Georgia and found out that they did not have it available even though I reserved it the day before and there was one there when I reserved it. So I ended up having to drive into Statesboro Georgia to pick up a dolly. This was my first time using U-Haul and I did not enjoy the experience. I had already had a stressful week trying to figure out how to get my car home. And then I had to waste unnecessary gas trying to get a dolly that should have already been at the first place I reserved it!
Michael PNo issues at all! Booked the tow dolly about 30 minutes before I showed up, got there and was out with it in about ten minutes. No issues with returning either, only about 5 minutes and I was off again! Felt like the cost was also reasonable.

She had to redo the information in the computer several times even after I provided her with the confirmation information. I had to call customer service several times for them to assist me, but the overall field goal was OK.

Darlene HFirst of all the person running the store could not answer any of my questions. Inside the cab of the truck GROSS !!!! Had something spilled all over in the cup holder so bad when I lifted the center console the liquid run down on to the floor. Truck smelled like a freaking ashtray. Windshield wipers were shot started raining couldn’t hardly see and the breaks are not the greatest. Not something I would recommend to anyone

I had to write everything on the back of a receipt and the owner was unaware i was dropping off the truck. The lady who did help me was very kind but was unsure of the drop off. I ended up just doing the drop off online so that nothing would get messed up.

Jackie FI'm a 52 ye old female and I was not able to lift the trailer 6x12 that I rented up off the ground. Someone should be available to assist a U-Haul customer beside a 65 year old person running the store by themselves. Also I drove 200 miles with one working brake light and blinker on my U-Haul trailer. I believe a rountine maintenance should be done. Thank you for your time.
Michelle LThe worker at this location act as if he didn’t want to rent the truck out to me because he promised someone else the same truck the next morning. But I told him that I did the exact same thing the other customer did and that was reserved the truck as well and I knew what time block I rented the truck in and that I would have the truck back at that time. He claimed he didn’t have a problem with renting me out the truck but needed it to be back because of someone else. I didn’t like how he was handling it at first but ended up working out but I will not return to this location nor will I recommend anyone.

todd nThe drop off location could not give me a receipt at time of return. I was told that the manager would have to do it whenever he came in to the location. "An absent manager". After over 2 days of me having to call them repeatedly for an official return/receipt, I finally got a receipt by email. Thankfully they did not charge me for the 2 extra days that my return was in limbo. The main problem is the UHAUL system itself. You cannot change any details about your return through the main 800 number. You have to get the "marketing/regional traffic control" phone number to change anything. BUT, the regional phone numbers are poorly operated. They are only open for customer service calls on a limited basis. No weekends, not after certain hours. Poor customer service. The other major problem is that if you do a search of locations for a return, the UHAUL system is not accurate. 1. Locations listed on the web-site may or may not be operating as a location anymore. Yes, I tried to return to one of the locations and called the number only to find that the location's phone number was disconnected and no longer in business. 2. Another location that I tried to return the trailer to said that they COULD not accept my return because they were under construction. I ended up returning my trailer to a location 20 miles away at as I said earlier, they did not acknowledge my return until repeated calls over an almost 3 day period. The website is INNACURATE about actually open and functioning locations. Good luck and make sure you get HARD AND FAST details before you think that things will go smoothly.

Jamal HI was over charged per mile by 20 cent sounds like a little but that adds up this is compared to the website and the locations information. There were two truck uhauls available and one (the one we needed was broken) so we had to get the 26ft one. Surprise double the price. The uhaul was in terrible shape including the interior arm rest which just had old dried soda spilled on it. We rented around 3pm and was told we had it until 6:30am but I received a text saying it had to be back by 9pm. The first guy we spoke to was very rude and the second one was clueless. 0/10 do not recommend.
Mikaela WI was confirmed and received email that equipment was paid for and attendant came outside to complain about how we were exiting premises and when I was 20minutes out he called my cellphone to tell me I have to come back because payment was not processed so I attempted to escalate with uhaul directly and never recieved a call from regional executive. I'm still pursuing escalation and expect this to be reviewed. I have Threatening messages from tenant telling me they will call the police on me if I don't go back when I had called uhaul to find alternatives to accept my payment over the phone. Very horrible experience, I've never been treated so bad.

haven pWe wish the rental and paperwork had been ready for our scheduled pickup. It seemed as though the staff member had not been trained to handle uhaul customers. The staff was nice but was not equipped to handle our rental. Location did not have the rental truck ready or the dolly and blankets available as reserved/confirmed. Did not go over rental agreement. We received an email receipt after we had left which did not include the insurance coverage that we initially signed up for and we specifically asked staff about the coverage and he insisted that we were good to go. Per customer service, our reservation noted customer declined coverage when in fact we went back inside and specifically asked for the gentleman to confirm that our coverage was applied after receiving a text about safe move.

Maureen MMidgard self storage was my original drop off location. When I got there no one was there, called the number it said to call and no one answered. There was another vehicle there trying to drop off also. I would not recommend this place ever.

Trailer driver side turn indicator/brake indicator was not working. Trailer had NOT been swept out. But the store employees were great, very helpful and very friendly.

Gerald PI rented a 6x12 enclosed trailer to haul my daughters things to Statesboro. The wonderful couple in Lake City were so pleasant and helpful. The gentleman used a heavy jack to attach the trailer to my truck. Then checked to make sure everything was safe. But when I went to the drop off they had no equipment to take the trailer off my truck but wanted me to manually lift the trailer of my truck. First of all I just had shoulder surgery 3 weeks ago and I’m nearly 50 years old. If it weren’t for a very nice gentleman to run back to his house for a jack they were going to make me wait till 5 pm and I had got there at 9:30 am. For trailers of such excess weight there should be some sort of jack put in the trailer or the drop off station should have one on it’s station. There was no way that trailer could be lifted manually.
