My pick-up time was scheduled for 10, I arrived at 10:10 and the store wasn't open. I called and the owner said he could arrive in 15 minutes, which he did, so at around 10:45 I finally got a truck (the computer systems were all shut down so things moved slowly once he arrived). Once the computer part was finished, he handed me the keys and said "this got in at 6 last night, but I close at 5, so I have no idea if it's clean or not. If it's not just call and uhaul can knock some money off." I appreciate the offer of knocking money off, but I was already in a hurry since I was behind schedule and ddin't want cleaning the truck to be my responsibility.. If the UHAUL website allows me to set an appointment time of 10:00 to pick up the truck, that should be communicated to the store and the store should be open.
This location is tying to charge me for damage that I didn't do!! When I walked in the door the guy had an attitude and seemed to have trouble with adding in the information to return the truck. He said that I didn't have the right amount of gas in the truck after I just left the gas station to add the gas to the level stated on the receipt but he said that it would only cost $7 and that was probably going to be the amount I added in so I told him that was fine to charge me. After he did walk around I asked him if everything was fine and he said that I was good to leave. Later on that night I received an email that I was charged accident damage that actually had a date and time (8/23 at 4:00). It stated that the accident was in Maryland (I picked up the truck in Maryland on 8/22 and returned it in Virginia on 8/24) and I was not I Maryland on the 23rd so how can I have an accident there?!? He also never provided me a receipt to sign regarding the damages or say anything about it when I returned the truck! I also had insurance on the truck through Uhaul that I paid an extra $45 for that was voided when he submitted the accident damage report! How can someone just void something I paid extra for to protect the truck? I will never recommend anyone to this location or Uhaul in general because if someone doesn't do there job when a truck is returned the cost is just handed over to the next customer and the final decision is made by the manager at the location you return the truck. They do not try to reach out to other locations to resolve the matter, it's just passed off to the customer!

Website for U-Haul is very clunky to use. It has you progressing through reserving trailer and once in the app, it asks for info you wouldn't have thought to have at your finger tips, i.e. OL, wt ratings for truck, hitch and ball as well as licence number. Kept stopping to go get info to answer question, go back in and ask another question. this was repeated 4 or 5 times.
Amazing person. Showed me how the equipment works and was very personable. If I could rate 100 stars I would. I couldn't back up the trailer and he was able to do it for me due to the lot not being that big and is used as a car dealership as well. My GPS also routed me directly to there location with ZERO issues.
The address did not map correctly. When called for directions not helpful. Asked me to back the trailer into a narrow spot. When I noted I was not comfortable, personnel complained and wanted to drive my vehicle. Response when I said no was not respectful. No masks and not following state mandidate. Did not maintain 6 feet distance from me. The entire experience was Extremely uncomfortable.
